His scam is not sophisticated at all, he took my car for a test drive at the end of the inspection and this is when he created his opportunity to damage my vehicle while out of sight. He cut my serpentine belt intentionally so that it would be on the verge of breaking and then revved the engine really hard until engine warning signs came on and then returned the car to me like a ticking time bomb ready to explode. I immediately confronted him about the damage he had done to my vehicle but he is so out of touch with reality he actually thought I would be willing to let him fix an issue he created. He thinks my car is under warranty so it's a win win situation and I wouldn't care anyways. He is very wrong, he scammed and defrauded me! Not some magical warranty insurance manufacturer... it's me he scammed, it's a Lose-Lose situation. He will not get a penny from me but I still have to pay someone else to fix the damage he did to my vehicle with his deceitful greedy actions.

This made me think about something a Winegardner employee said when I was in the dealership getting ready to buy my new vehicle: "Just spray it! ..... The gold Acadia out front!" Could they have known about the mark on the seat of my car before I bought it & were trying to cover it up? I took it back to the dealer & they agreed to fix it, saying it was a fault & actually ended up replacing the seat back (so they said!). Ok so far & they even gave me a free loan car. One week later, I noticed the black mark was back - same as before - all the way across the base of the back seat section. This being tan leather it really stands out! I called the dealer again & they said it would not be replaced a second time for free. SO, I decided never to go to Winegardner GMC ever again. However, a few months later my Acadia would not start at my house, so I called GMC Roadside Assistance. A sub-contractor was sent out, who said there was nothing he could do & it needed to be towed to my local GMC dealer! A recovery copany was then called, who came & took it to Winegardner GMC in Prince Frederick, MD. When the dealer called me to tell me it was there I also took the opportunity to ask the dealer again if they would fix the mark on the driver's seat. I was told they would call me back with an answer; when they did they said they would not fix the seat. I asked why & was told it had been replaced once & was not a warranty fault. When I asked what was causing the black mark, I was told it could be "an item of clothing, maybe a leather belt!" I told them that was unacceptable - for me to have to not wear a certain item of clothing (black leather belt), to avoid the black mark getting worse! I have been wearing the same type of clothes/belts for many years & have NEVER had any black marks left on seats. This particular mark will not come out with any type of cleaning solution. I suggested the quality of the leather on teh Acadia was sub-par & that they should complain to GMC but to no avail. To add insult to injury, the reason my car would not start (they said) was because it was 'low on gas!) The gas gauge was not even on the 'low gas' warning level, so how could that have caused it not to start? On top of that, the Service Manager was extremely rude, short-tempered, unfriendly, uncaring & did I say RUDE? I am seriously thinking about trading in my Acadia for a Toyota or Nissan, as I have had excellent feedback from friends who drive those makes & good reviews of the respective local dealers.

I got my car a couple days later and they said my car was fine, and I paid $140 for my cars engine light to be on again a day later:| and with my buddy's car... I paid ANOTHER $140 for them to tell me that it just needed a new engine... thanks ! It's like I told them that when I brought the car in. They failed to mention that it had a HUGE exhaust leak, and a failed o2 sensor which I found out when when I brought it to another shop. The exhaust leak was so bad I don't know how they didn't notice? I guess they never actually looked at the entire car. Just the top of the engine bay. Well end of story, I wasted $280 for them to tell me what I literally told them when I gave them the cars to get diagnosed.
