I have purchased several cars from Grants Pass Toyota. Yesterday I bought a 2026 Tacoma Sport. It was a smooth and easy transaction and I had a great salesperson, Diego Louera that made it a pleasant experience. He made sure everything was how I wanted it and had no issue answering my countless questions. I really like the no haggeling atmosphere of Grants Pass Toyota. The discounts were better from the start than if I had gone back and forth 50 times trying to get the price down. In the past the way to buy a car was to haggle back and forth and it was stressful. How they do is the way to go. On my first car many years ago I went there and got a price. I then went to medford and after 3 hours of haggeling it still didnt beat the price from Grants Pass and I went back ther and bought. Ever since then I dont even waste my time any other place. They have the best and non pressure salespeople. They are all friendly and know their stuff. You come away feeling great knowing you have the best deal and dont go home feeling stressed after hours of haggeling. It is the only way for me. read more

Or private sale! take the used vehicle to your trusted known auto repair shop and have them do a thorough inspection and list all needed repairs and future possible parts replacement, repairs and services need within the next year. Your time and a few bucks to do this saves you thousands on a lemon or overpriced vehicle for condition of the vehicle you wish to purchase. Earlier I posted a negative review on how I was treated by a salesman named Justin Alger who did treat me with disrespect and was very pushy with a lot of pressure to buy an older Toyota Tundra with 190 thousand miles on it and he tried to force me to buy it with high pressure tactics which I for one hate. My wife was there to pick me up and witnessed what Justin was doing. The sales Manager Ted Mikel's was also trying to make a deal with me not knowing how Justin was treating us, so I felt I was being pressured by both Justin and ted. But I realized Ted didn't see how Justin was acting towards us, and I left a negative review for the whole dealership because at the time I was upset at the way I was treated by Justin. I was wrong to write a negative review about the dealership as a whole and do apologize to the owner Brad, Ted and the rest of the staff at Grants Pass Toyota, for the rest of the staff have been friendly and kind to us for the rest of them have been good to us and have made every effort to give us a good deal. I do recommend Highly Grants Pass Toyota and I hope Justin will show more respect towards potential customers and have more patience rather than High Pressure tactic. I have a 2015 Lexus RX350 that needed some scheduled maintenance and some ac service. They were easy to get it it scheduled and very accommodating in providing service for my vehicle even if it was not Toyota ( I know pretty much the same manufacturer). They called back with the estimate and at this mileage it need a lot of work to the tune of $2400. Ouch. OK we'll just do the oil and filter change and I will have Lexus do the major stuff. On to the AC. Needs a compressor and dryer. $3200. They explained a sensor that was internal to the compressor failed. I was in sticker shock and hit the brakes so I could think about this or maybe it's time to trade in. So I did a little research and it turns out the sensor is mounted externally to the compressor by a snap ring. $50. At Napa, Amazon, O'REILLY anywhere. I am semi relieved and viewed a few YouTubes to see what I was getting my self into and stumbled on one that showed you could add a magnet on the sensor and it will work. I thought what the hell. I have a magnet. I will try it. It worked. Now I am all about using OEM parts. But in this day when money is tight you should be given options. This makes GP Toyota sevice look bad. read more

Buyer beware. If you are going to purchase a used vehicle (including certified vehicles) here, be sure and talk to the service department about the maintenance history BEFORE you start any negotiation of the price, or trade deal. The dealership will likely not reveal any overdue maintenance. This could be helpful to you during price negation, something any sales person would just as well not bring up. Of course, the dealership/service department will surely make you aware of, AFTER the sale. I purchased a certified toyota with 62,000, but the 60 miles service was never completed. This was on me, I assumed that was part of the certification, but I was wrong. read more

Purchased a 2018 F150 from them in September 2024. Within the first week, we had to return to the dealer twice for them to diagnose issues and replace all spark plugs. 2 months later the battery died. 4 months into it, the transmission needs to be replaced. Tried calling the dealership who refused to connect us with upper management, despite repeated requests. The online response was we should have put more money to them for a warranty instead of purchasing as is - completely unacceptable to say we should have invested more money into a corrupt company that sold us a lemon. read more

We take meticulous care of our Lexus RX330. We always are up-to-date on all maintenance and service. We brought it in to Grants Pass Toyota in October of 2021 to do the required timing belt replacement. Grants Pass Toyota made an error when they reinstalled the timing belt on our vehicle on or about 10/15/21. This led to decreased gas mileage within weeks which was dismissed by the technician as "seasonal fuel mixture changes" when I called in on or about 12/21/21 and many times after that. Then the check engine light began coming on every few weeks (we don't drive a lot). Each time I would call in, or if I was in Grants Pass for an appointment, I would take it in. At NO point did the technician on duty take a look at the vehicle even though there were VSC and Check Engine lights on. Had even one technician run the codes instead of simply hitting "delete codes" (which I watched them do on at least half a dozen occasions) We would have had this issue resolved within the magical "12 month" time frame. Instead of checking the misfire codes out, they said, "oh, just someone didn't tighten the gas cap." Okay, well the check engine light was flashing when I went uphill on the drive from the coast to GP. I went in with my kids (they are witnesses) in to have to code looked at on or about 04/05/2023. Same thing: codes cleared, no inspection. I did explain the flashing light. They shrugged it off. The check engine light didn't continue to flash after that, it just would go on when we would go up hills (when the engine was under load). Within the last year, the gas mileage dropped to about 16 MPG in town and 18 highway, The check engine and VSC light continued to go on and error codes detected were "P0300," and "P0305." This is cylinder misfiring. We brought it in for repairs to a local shop. Two cylinders were replaced thinking that was the issue. However a few days later had a catastrophic engine failure and towed on 10/11/2023 to a local repair shop. The mechanic worked for weeks to troubleshoot the problem. Finally, he pulled the timing belt that had the Toyota stamp on it. It was in great condition. However, as you can see from the images I am attaching, we found the problem. The bolt that houses the belt had not been properly tightened. As a result the shaft that holds the bolt was stripped creating a wear strip along the ridge. I am also attaching the local mechanic's notes. You can read for yourself what happened. We could have lost our motor, and potentially our lives if we had been out at night and this caused an accident. Obliviously, I can't tell anyone who to go to for work on their vehicles. I can only share my personal experience and the expenses we had because of Toyota failing to take care of loyal customers. read more

So this is a review about their website. I have been looking at several Toyota vehicles, and I know the models, options, packages, etc I am interested in. When going to the Grants Pass Toyota website they don't list the options well AND there is no link I can see to the window sticker (Monroney) for the vehicles I am looking at. This is frustrating for customers and counter productive to the dealership. There was a Tundra which had an TRD off-road package but nothing in the description about it. The only way you can know is looking at the images of the vehicle (when they have real images and not stock photos). Not all options are easily seen in the pictures, so how can we tell what the vehicles are specs are? ALL of the vehicles I have been checking online at GP Toyota have incomplete information, so why should I try buying from them? Eugene, Springfield, Roseburg, and Medford Toyota websites all do a better job of giving the customer information on the vehicles they have in stock. I would be more interested in buying a vehicle here if they would be less... mysterious (sounds better than misleading). read more

I'll never come back here and do business. They have the so called 7 day policy to bring a car back if for any reason it's not the right car. I decided to take advantage of it and bring the car back. I called them last Friday and told them I couldn't make it in until Monday. Still within that 7 day guidelines. They told me on the phone they'd 100% take care of it on Monday. The car sat in my driveway for 4 days. I barely drove it like 10 miles yesterday. I brought back on Monday, and they took care of it, minus $600 of my down-payment. They claimed it was for dmv fees because the dmv won't refund them the fees. I called the dmv, and they haven't even processed it. The actual dmv fees were only $262 not the $600 they were claiming. There's absolutely no reason they couldn't have refunded the money if the dmv hadn't even processed it. Much less that the fee is only $262, not $600. Oh and what made it worse, they made me walk home after bringing the car in. Never doing business here again. And I've bought a 2019 tacoma here before. Even did all my maintenance services there, so I've given them plenty of business. Never again read more

Contacted the dealer about a truck on Tuesday morning and spoke with Callie. A simple request for pictures of the vehicle as they had none on their website nor on their ad on Car Gurus Callie said the truck was being detailed but would get some for me ASAP. I contacted her 3 more times for an update, since as she never responded. Finally got two half-ass pictures that were grainy and only half showed the truck between other vehicles, no interior, no underbody or engine pics as originally requested Called back a 4th time (now 3 days later) and lazy Calli tells me the truck still hasn't been detailed, is still in the shop and it just sold. Very poor service, poor communication and follow up. Pretty disappointed in her lackluster performance. With all the people out of work you'd think it'd be easier to find employees that would put some effort to make a sale. read more

Quick oil change cost me $800.00 and 5 hours of waiting because the mechanic while driving my Tundra on the lift took a chuck out of my sidewall. No matching tires were available so I had to buy all new tires for a match while they paid for 1 and a realignment wtf! Why did I have to pay for there mistake? I'm furious!!! read more

Went in this afternoon, 10/3, gave very clear specifics as to what I was looking for and was shown AWD when I requested 4WD only, he tried to tell me their was no difference and when I said there was he asked me how I knew that, aside from the fact that he came across as a bit of a douche from that statement, he was unable to find the vehicles to begin with and needed assistance to log in on the computer, he then proceeded to tell me Toyota only makes all wheel drive and that they didn't have any 4WD on the lot. I do NOT recommend this place for locals. I drove up to Grant's Pass for Thanksgiving and took my car in here to have a whistling noise checked out. When a lady named Alicia called me she simply said it was the blower motor and that replacing it would be $390. She didn't say what was wrong with it or give me any indication of how much longer it could last before going out. I bought a car from them. They said it had never been in a wreck. I drive it off the lot and then a couple days later I got hit. Some one ran a red and T boned my daughter and I. When I tried to get my insurance to cover the car and everything about it. I found out it had been in a accident. I found out it had been rolled and then repaired. I told them they lied. That my insurance had proof they lied in which case they said they did not know about it. They also would not let me trade it back in for what I had in it! When I said I did not want to drive a vehicle that had been totalled. They did let me trade but still not at the vlaue you had put into it. They also tried to get me to sign something saying it had not been in any accidents! I dont think I signed it but be honest I was very confused. read more

Upon arrival at the dealership, we asked to speak to Matt as we had been referred to him. He was behind the counter, heard us and did not even acknowledge our presence. He was with customers and I get that, but to walk past us on his way back to said customers, completely ignoring us? We were there to possibly buy a car, wouldn't that deserve a "hey, be right with you?" Strike One The car: My husband had been corresponding back and forth about a specific car on their lot. Not once did they ever mention that it had paint damage..... All over it! We drove 2 hours to see this thing. Strike Two The pitch. "We are a best price store" Do they make this stuff up in their monthly sales meetings to see how many unsuspecting people they can reel in? I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday boys. We have researched this car for weeks. Your price was $1,000-$1,500 more than at least 4 other places.... And your car had more miles and it looked like whoever previously drove it got their license out of a Cracker Jack box. Strike Three: "We will have some of the paint scratches fixed." Some? Someone already had tried their hand with touchup paint and they would've been better suited to let a kindergartener "have at it". Here's the kicker.... Or we will take $500 off the price of the overpriced damaged car. The car we kept hearing was a 2016 so it would have some damage. Refer back to the turnip truck analogy. During this time of back and forth stupidity, I had already called another dealership and was sent a video of another car to make sure we didn't experience this nonsense again. #1- Best price means nothing and they are lying to you every time they mention that phrase. #2 - Dearest Matt, you are not doing us a favor in talking to us. Not bad. Website stated a car for 14,500 called them to say hold it. They told me they made a mistake the car is 16,500. Will you honour your price online, nope. Agreed to 16,000 out the door. Final bill was 16,400 with DMV fees. Is this a bait and switch, you tell me. Under 40 minutes my glove compartment was opened and I was told to pay for the full hour because it was under the discretion of the mechanic to charge me for a full hour. I also was told that the glove compartment needed a new lock assy. and it would cost me $240.00. That would be a total of $329.95 to replace the glove compartment latch. I just leased a car from this dealership and am COMPLETELY dissatisfied. I was promised 1000% by multiple sales associates that Toyotas new "best price policy" would not allow ANY other local Toyota dealership to offer me a better price on a lease. This was completely NOT true. LITHIA in Medford could provide me a $1100 better price, and that was even without negotiation. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. I was lied to and pressured by all sales associates. Do you know what gap insurance is? Expect attitude if you don't want to pay for their overpriced policy. If you do some quick research on Reddit or car forums you can see past Toyota Finance Managers explain this scam and why you should never lease. If you do lease you should never pay more than $300 for GAP insurance. The more the sales associates hammer in that they are transparent and honest the less you should believe them. The "best price policy" is a complete lie and one of the sales associates even admitted they were able to budge on this a few times although they got in "trouble". Car sales people in 2017 are just as manipulative and dishonest as 2000... don't be fooled by the "we do stuff different now" line. I heard it from every dealership I visited. These people will never be honest. I am also confused if this dealerships staff works on commission or not, as during the deal I was told both that the commission would be split between 2 sales associates and that they didn't work on commission... Changing my rating as 2days after having the work done. I went to go somewhere only to have the tire pressure light come on so I went to the Express center tire pressure in all tires were low had it properly inflated went out the next morning to a flat tire. Put on the spare took tire to get replaced only to find out (when my tire which were fine before rotation ) the wheel was bent. Whoever did the rotation had to have dropped the tire and didn't think anything about it or didn't really care but now I am out $145.88 to get a replacement rim then out even more to have tire put on new rim.
