I have been a customer for the past several years, and had my cc info on file so that automatic payments could be made. I had been living across the country for winter and spring, and arrived home to find that weeds had taken over the large, horseshoe driveway, and the front lawn. It took weeks for the office to send someone out, which I get, because it's summer in Bar Harbor. What I did not appreciate was receiving a call on my business line about my "past due bill," during business hours. Apparently, the company changed the payment portal, without informing customers, so my cc was no longer charged. Add to that, I was unable to sign into my account and make a payment. I asked the lady who called to please not make dunning phone calls on my office phone (the amount due was a mere $103), and she immediately got snarky with me, and followed up with a harassing email, arguing that she had a right to call my business phone. I definitely felt targeted by her ire, and asked her, once again, to stop harassing me, and that I would pay the bill. According to the files, I had until December 1st to pay, and her harassment started on the 7th of November. Back to the portal, and not being able to sign in anymore, required a link to be sent to establish a new portal. Which I did, and paid the bill. After which, this woman promptly cancelled my account, out of nothing more than spite! Why on earth didn't she simply send me the link in the first place, with an explanation as to why this would be necessary?! Some people just have a need to be nasty and confrontational. I've been a good customer, who has been treated in a rude and retaliatory manner.

My contractor also was happy with it, until the last stair tread to come out of the box was damaged. I called LL and was told that it was damaged in shipping and they would cover fixing the item. Partially since I spent so much money there! LL Flooring formally Lumber Liquidator, and now Lumber Liquidator again has gone back on their promise to make it right! Shortly after I dropped off the broken tread LL Flooring filed bankruptcy and was restructured. I was told during the restructuring that as an existing customer I would be taken care of, but the company needed to complete bankruptcy. I was very understanding and delayed completion of my home renovations for this one step! My contractor also had to move on. After what seemed like 5 months I was informed by Lumber Liquidator that they would not replace the broken step tread unless I paid $60 for the replacement. Fortunately for me they had not tossed the broken step tread. I actually paid for that one! I feel cheated and disappointed that the new Lumber Liquidator management saw me as a number that was a past customer. Well they made sure I would never purchase from them again and I will tell anyone willing to listen that Lumber Liquidator is a disreputable company and to take their money to a company that will honor their commitments. I would give ZERO Stars if able. DO NOT SHOP AT LL OR LUMBER LIQUIDATOR FLOORING. You never know when they will file bankruptcy just to get out of their obligations. Shame on you.

Do yourself a very big favor and stay far away from doing business with this store…read more I had a measure done to include 2 sets of stairs and a loft area. I was told on numerous occasions that the flooring I chose was available but would be coming from various locations so it would take a while to get. When I called to check in on the order status, I was told the product was discontinued but they had enough to do my job. I would be able to purchase it a big discount but he had to make sure they had enough in their warehouse to complete the job. I called again to check on the status and was now told the product was not discontinued but would be back in stock in several months at a premium price. I decided to forget that sku and went with an item that was in stock. I was then informed that they didn't have any delivery men so it couldn't be delivered in a timely manner. But they would deliver it to my house themselves since I was living out of state and didn't have a vehicle that could handle a pickup of this magnitude. Finally had the product delivered. Then i was told the installer wasn't going to be available for some time. When he finally coordinated the install, he walked in and said there was a shortage of product and couldn't do the job until every piece was delivered. When the installer finished the job, he only had enough product for 1 set of stairs and said that's all that was purchased and all they had ordered. He proceeded to tell me that when he did the estimate, he included the second set of stairs with pictures, layout etc to be included in the estimate. I was also told I could return any unopened product - which was true except they charged me an additional 25% restocking fee even though they were the ones to work up the estimate. What a fiasco! This was by far the worst experience I've had with a retailer.
