During my first visit, Dr. Shakouri was very dismissive of the fact that my profession as an airline pilot strictly limits which medications I am allowed to take. Despite my repeated concerns and the FAA medication restrictions, he continued to push for a "large dose" of an allergy medication until I finally said, "I would rather not." I was later scheduled for allergy skin testing and a sinus CT scan. The front desk provided written instructions, which I followed exactly. Those instructions also clearly stated that I would be contacted in advance with pricing if my insurance did not cover the tests. That never happened. On the day of the appointment, I was unexpectedly told I owed $300 for the allergy testing (which I reluctantly agreed to) and $150 for the sinus CT scan (which I declined). I expressed my frustration to Dr. Shakouri, after which he issued a refund, and I chose to terminate care with this office. Overall, this was a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. Poor communication, disregard for occupational medical restrictions, and irresponsible front office practices. I now have to start the entire process over again elsewhere. I do not recommend this practice. My review reflects my firsthand experience as a patient and the interaction I had in your office. If any part of it were inaccurate, a respectful clarification would be appropriate -- not a blanket attempt to discredit patients for speaking publicly. Scam. Stay away from this place…read more I went to the Grapevine, TX location to see Dr. Savannah Sommerhalder, MD, and it felt off from the start. They did not even have a real sign on the building, just a decal on the door. I went in for an infection. They confirmed it was an infection, not an allergy or some other immediate issue. They gave me one round of medication, and when that did not work, they immediately started pushing heavily for surgery and immunotherapy. The problem is that they also told me neither of those would actually fix the issue I came in for. That didn't matter to them; they just kept pushing for it. After two appointments, I finally told them flat out that I was no longer agreeing to surgery or immunotherapy until they treated the infection first. They then finally said they would call in a stronger medication. They never did. I reminded them three times, and every time I got another excuse about the doctor being busy or some delay. That was it for me. They seemed much more interested in pushing procedures than fixing the infection. I also asked for my surgery deposit back, because the plan was supposed to treat the infection first, then do the surgery later. Instead of refunding the deposit, they sent me an even bigger bill. Based on the other review, the shady billing practice seems common. You have been warned.

Dr. Mayes is down to earth, listens to what you say & finds a solution. My man had been having feelings of pressure in his chest & not being able to breathe. So they did stress test, cardio scan & multiple other tests. All negative. Came to see Dr. Mayes who did an allergy test on him, gave him some breathing meds & put him on allergy shots. Within 6 months all symptoms were gone.

She started shots in Jan and we have been in the office 2 a week for her shots since and I wish I could tell you how kind and friendly the staff is at AAAA. Prior to the visit, I had to fill out extensive paperwork, detailing all my symptoms, including root causes leading up to my illness. Upon arrival, I was surprised to see that I was to meet with his daughter, in training, instead of Dr. Kotsanis. It was very disappointing. She didn't seem to grasp what I was going through, which left me frustrated. Dr. Kotsanis decided to come out of his office to see me. He didn't know a single thing about me, and obviously didn't read any of the history. I ended up leaving his office broke, devestated, and defeated. Needless to say, I would not recommend Dr. Kotsanis. He is clearly in it for the money. For 2000K up front, I would think he would take the time to get to know me!

I appreciate how much she cares about her patients, as does her office manager, Patricia. I always leave there feeling relaxed, often falling asleep during my treatments. She has helped me with varied issues, including thyroid and hormone balancing, back issues, nerve, allergies, relaxing a hammer toe, and tennis elbow. NAET has helped me much more than the therapy and self-help I have been doing myself. My mind more easily deals with trauma and physical pain from an accident and childhood emotional issues.

The trip prior was another 45 minute wait in the lobby. I waited in the patient room for another 20, the discussion lasted less than 10 minutes and I was asked to schedule the surgical appointment. I don't mind the occasional wait, but this is ridiculous. No follow up calls to apologize, no concerns on keeping customers. It's just bad customer service in what could be a great practice.

She makes you feel welcome and puts your needs first. Always discusses treatment and makes sure that everything is going well. She is good to recommend things instead of pushing services and products. I think she is amazing! Alex is the other provider and he is amazing as well. He's a funny guy and always makes me laugh. Again he doesn't push services but asks and offers suggestions based on our conversations. Overall this is a great clinic.
