Beautiful selection of holiday decor and high quality imported items! They have nesting dolls, an amazing ornament collection, and nutcrackers from Germany. They also had a shelf of crystal / painted glass goods. I had small kids with me so I spent most of my time making sure they didn't break anything, but I would have loved to look through the store more. They are at the very end of the Main Street stores, near the park. Definitely worth a stop and I will be back! read more

Nice shop in downtown Fredericksburg right on Main Street. Super weird that they are closed on Sundays with Fredericksburg being the destination it is, so make sure to stop here on another day of the week. This was a planned stop for us bc they sell Firefly jewelry. It's a bit tricky to find, so I knew they carried it ahead of our visit. They did have the earrings I was looking for, but not in the style I wanted. I ended up getting something else. Happy Birthday to me! Lots of fun jewelry , gifts & Christmas stuff here. This is another one of those nice pricey little boutique stores found along the main strip. Glassware,jewelry and artwork seem to dominate this place. Nothing in the way of clothing or shoes. The store does set itself apart from other boutique stores with the offerings they have which I have not seen anywhere else along the strip. The photos below will attest to that. read more

Lots of neat items to look at. Silver jewelry, small wooden boxes ($200!), various pottery items, and a huge selection of beer steins. All prices are a bit on the high side (expected as much being on Main St). Bought a very unique ~5x7" mixed wood clipboard for just under $30 (I always have an ugly stack on notes on my desk held together by a paperclip, so the clipboard is a big step up). Beautiful and well-made. The store owners were cordial; however, they didn't seem particularly enthusiastic at all about having customers in their store. Maybe I didn't spend enough money. My husband and I absolutely love this store. We actually plan a trip to Fredericksburg around Christmas, just for the purpose of visiting this store. My husband's grandmother was born and raised in Germany, and each Christmas, we would buy her something that reminded of her home once upon a time. They always have the perfect gift! Don't expect to find something cheap here though. Prices are a bit high, but, for a German product in the middle of Texas, what do you expect? They have steins of all sorts, and a plethora of other gift ideas. I have also purchased 2 Mova gloves here, as well as 2 space themed paper weights. We are regulars here, and recommend this store to anyone looking for a unique yet likely pricey gift. read more

My kids and I stepped in for a look around during our annual Christmas time visit to Fredericksburg. This was our first time in the shop and were impressed with the number of higher end pieces. They have a good variety of wood and glass pieces that are fun to look at, even if you're not buying. A number of the items have "do not touch and get someone to help you" type signs around them. Looking at them you can see why. My kids and I were especially impressed with the glass pieces. Glass globes that had differing themes. I especially liked the "space themed" ones. But they had some beautiful glasses, pitchers and other items. The colors placed in many of the items were very bright and stunning. Many wood items, such as nutcrackers and what I can only describe as "carousel" like creations also filled the store. German steins were also prevalent. I don't know if it was the time of year or if these were an "all year round" item. The prices of probably most items was beyond what I would spend, but for those with the ability I can see where this would be a great store to add some very nice pieces to your home. read more

So many cute shops in Fredericksburg and this was one of my favorites. What drew me into the shop were the magically spinning glass orbs in the window and the other gorgeous glass pieces. Lots of intricate knickknacks and decorative pieces. The also had beautiful jewelry and beer mugs. I know, an eclectic assortment of goods. I ended up getting a Dad Jokes book that I know my husband and kids will get a kick out of. The lady that rang me up said it was their best seller. I'll definitely check out Grasshopper and Wild Honey next time I'm in town. read more

I ended up purchasing one of the time craft pieces from here. The owner was very friendly and didn't pressure us to buy anything.

Their website states that they are a "gallery of fine gifts from around the world." I have found this store to be one of my favorite places to go to when I am in Fredericksburg for the day with friends or family. I first got interested in this place from their window. I felt like I was a kid again looking in at the window display ogling over everything. Inside is even a bigger treat! They have a huge collection of beer steins and many Christmas Nutcrackers. Last year they had this beautiful pool table made out of wood that would make anyone cry. I had family with me this time and said "you have to see the pool table" so we went in, but alas it had been sold. Some Longhorn fan is taking in the sheer beauty of it now. It has been replaced by some phenomenal pieces of furniture. What I love mostly about the store is that they carry my favorite jewelry line. I picked up yet another piece for my growing collection of Jewelry John bells and lamented that I didn't have enough money to buy 4 more that I have had my eye on for some time. This is a wonderful store to get good quality gifts. If you don't have a clue what to give your loved one for Christmas, just go in here and you will find something they would enjoy. I know I will be going back soon before the holidays to pick up a few things. read more

There are places where you can get very elegant pieces. This is one of those places. From the authentic steins to the glassware and exotic pieces. Everything is displayed well and spaciously set apart. I wanted to upgrade the look in my living room and this place is going to help me do that. The only problem now is that I have to upgrade my stands to reflect the appeal the glass frogs have. read more

I am really glad I wandered into this shop on my first trip to Fredericksburg - here's why: 1 - Selection - G&WH has a variety of offerings from jewelry to beer steins, woodwork to pottery. 2 - FINALLY a place where the prices make sense! I got a beautiful clay piece for $50 when I was expecting the typical outrageous boutique pricing of $100-150. 3 - Service - the saleswomen were courteous, helpful, and didn't hover over us. We were able to spend at least 20min just checking things out without being interrupted. Overall, there were many pieces I would like in my home, and I will be back next time I am in Fredericksburg. Even though there was some stuff that I thought was tacky or really not my style, the overall shop has many gift options and is worth exploring. read more
