Somehow I never knew about the art galleries on the other side of Main Street in Fredericksburg and just learned about them from the friendly staff at the visitor center. We stopped by after 5pm when all the shops and galleries were closed already. The door was still open so we walked in. The gallery is small but very bright and inviting. It has decent and diverse selections of paintings and sculptures. A young lady welcomed us in with open arms and a big smile on her face even tho we just wanted to walk around and look. It turns out she is the owner. She was very energetic and personable. She talked to us about some of the paintings and asked which our favorite pieces were. Both of the paintings my friend and I liked were from Russian artists. The owner told us that she found one of the Russian artists b/c she saw her work in a magazine and the other Russian artists is represented by an agent in Cali. How awesome is that?! They also have a website that showcases the artworks they sell. Good art company indeed! I'd totally coming back to this gallery when I visit Fredericksburg next time!

We did the couple's glass flower-making experience and enjoyed it very much. Paul is a master at his craft for sure. Very clear and professional in his explanation and demo of what to do and how things work for glass making and blowing. His wife Holly is also a class-act person with top-notch kindness and friendliness to us. We felt like VIP the whole 1 hour slot we had booked with them. You have the whole glass-blowing studio to yourself with Paul and her guiding you the whole way. This was a cool way for my wife and I to spend part of our 1 year anniversary together doing something brand new. I would suggest anyone come and do this for the experience and to take home a one-of-a-kind painted glass flower to keep forever. Do note that you must come back the next day to get your flower as it takes 14 hours to cool in their oven for optimal finish. They can also mail it you if need be however.

You can schedule your visit online or call them up. They were very friendly and accommodating to make our group was able to do the activity together. We received a group tutorial then each partook in an individual, hands on glassblowing experience (from picking out the glass colors to "pulling" the glass leaves to make it a flower shape).
