Amazing pottery, neon sculptures, diachronic glass, mosaics, kinetic art, and furniture. I seriously could have blown the savings account in a few minutes. A wonderful array of artists at the top of their craft. Super friendly staff whether you were spending 10K or just a few dollars. We're gonna have to save a bit cutting out toothpicks, hairspray, and diet cokes but I think I might be able to go get something next visit. Somehow I never knew about the art galleries on the other side of Main Street in Fredericksburg and just learned about them from the friendly staff at the visitor center. We stopped by after 5pm when all the shops and galleries were closed already. The door was still open so we walked in. The gallery is small but very bright and inviting. It has decent and diverse selections of paintings and sculptures. A young lady welcomed us in with open arms and a big smile on her face even tho we just wanted to walk around and look. It turns out she is the owner. She was very energetic and personable. She talked to us about some of the paintings and asked which our favorite pieces were. Both of the paintings my friend and I liked were from Russian artists. The owner told us that she found one of the Russian artists b/c she saw her work in a magazine and the other Russian artists is represented by an agent in Cali. How awesome is that?! They also have a website that showcases the artworks they sell. Good art company indeed! I'd totally coming back to this gallery when I visit Fredericksburg next time!

In the end he made me a deal I could not pass up and purchased both of them. Furthermore, Mark gave us some time to finish our walk while he meticulously wrapped and boxed up my purchase for a safe trip back home. I certainly recommend you take some time and visit Mark! Its a flower basket thats a skull or a skull thats also a flower basket. You make the call. The staff was extremely helpful showing us different items in multiple cases. We were walking by and saw that the daily special was Buttermilk Fried…read moreChicken, we are always looking for good fried bone-in fried chicken, so we went downstairs to give it a try. Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.
