I have lots of foodie friends and we heard so many raves about the food at our wedding! We had a cocktail hour with fried green tomatoes and cheesesteak sliders. My husband and I never got to try these as we were too busy with mingling and photos ect. Chef Matt had them on the table for us and when he noticed we hadn't eaten them, even heated them up. It was totally our fault we missed them. The meals were served buffet style and we selected some outstanding items for that as well. All the meat (brisket and chicken) was tender and flavorful, the veggies (grilled seasonal vegetable and garlic green beans) cooked wonderfully and presentation when Chef Matt brought us our plates was amazing. The tables were outfitted with dinnerware, salads, rolls/butter ect. I remember Chef Matt saying to me very early on, we will provide everything down to the salt and pepper shakers! We somehow had 26 no shows at our wedding, and this caused a large amount of surplus food. Chef Matt talked to us briefly and said that he would pack up the food to take to his kitchen. He met up with us on that Sunday with it all ready to take home and he gave us some quick reheat and freeze directions.This is attention to detail that is above and beyond what I could have expected. In a text the week or so before the wedding he told me that he treats each wedding as if it were his own, and I truly believe this. They've changed their service style recently to a counter service. You order at the counter, but they'll bring it to your table. With a small number of tables inside and a couple dotting the walkway outside, it's not hard for them to find you. I decided on the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (with fries) and a sweet tea. If you want the full plate, you can 'upgrade' to beans, rice & roasted veggies for $3 more. The pork was plentiful and the sauce added a nice sweet (with a touch of) heat to the meat. The fries were golden & crispy. And forgo the ketchup - use the Dr. Bill's Savory Sauce on the table. I don't know where they got it, but it's delicious. It is definitely a no frills type place, but that's fine by me. PV can use a good dose of no frills places.

I did a Google search for caterers in our area, and Catering by Liz popped up. She also came in as a strong recommendation from our aunt, as they catered to events that she had been to in the past and was impressed. So that sealed the deal and we went with Catering by Liz. We are so happy that we went with them. The service and professionalism are outstanding. Harmony was our point of contact and she did an amazing job. She is great with communication and always responded to our emails within 24 hours. She also accommodated our work schedule and was able to set up an appointment on a weekend for the tasting. The sample menu that they have is pretty extensive but not exhaustive. We chose some food items from their menu that went along with a Greek theme since we were married in Greece. We also requested to see if they could make some foods that we had while we were there. We showed Harmony pictures of the foods we wanted and told her what was in them and what they tasted like. She said she would forward it to the chefs to see if they could do it. We were so pleased when she emailed us to let us know that they were able to recreate the food items...and the food was perfect (if not better!) The guests at our party were in love with the food and kept raving about it. We also had a bar service set up where we provided our own booze and they provided the rest (bartender, glassware, ice, sodas, juices, etc.) The bar service was excellent and the guys working behind the bar were on point. I never saw a long line for drinks and everyone was happy with their drinks and the service. We are very, very pleased with the services that they provided (and at a very reasonable cost!), and will not hesitate to use them again to cater for any large parties that we may have!
