Came here for an oil change and was in and out within 30 minutes. During the process, these guys pop your filters out and try to upsell you on getting them replaced for just under $50. The filters themselves are $9 on Amazon. Well, in the process of popping out my filter, the guy put mine back in backwards. After leaving the shop, my car had a weird loss of RPM issue. I turned off the engine and it went away. I went about a week not knowing my filter was in backwards all while my A/C transister ended up blowing itself out trying to push air through a backwards filter. I returned to the shop when I realized my A/C wasn't functioning anymore and they ended up sending me to a different shop to have it repaired. Grease Monkey covered the $324 fee. Fast forward another couple days, my loss of RPM issue is back, only this time it happened 3x in the same day. I called the shop and they had me bring it in again. They insist they "couldn't find any issues" but they re-did the entire oil change and the issue hasn't come back. It's been a couple of weeks now. I would NOT recommend this shop anymore. read more

we had blown a tire and were across the street and called and Ron the manager came over and changed our tire and then filled it with air for no charge! He didn't have to do this at all and to do it for no charge was a huge blessing! They gained a new cus timer today and we will be back there for our next oil change! Stopped by in my white dodge 1500 before taking a road trip to Arizona. I completely spaced the fact that my truck was covered in snow, and the fact that that's probably a huge inconvenience and burden to bring into the shop like that. No one mentioned it to me, and they cleaned the snow completely off of my truck for me while getting my oil changed. They also suggested I get wiper blades because mine were literally falling off, yet I completely spaced that as well. Oil was full, no leaks, they did a fantastic job and at an awesome price. This location has a great crew. I was in and out within literally 15 minutes, and had 0 issues. I feel bad for bringing a truck covered in snow into their shop, but they didn't mention it. Service was terrible. Tech's did not ask me anything. Like what type of oil...or filter. I really think they did not change my oil. My service was about ten min. Which is odd. Then I had to get this serviced from another company. Well...guess what? They had said the oil did look like it was changed and air filter was at a critical level. Meaning it had to be changed! They company also said your oil pan is leaking, lines are leaking, transmission oil is leaking. Anyway...I will never try this store again! read more

This is the only place I get my oils changed and I'm super picky with who gets to touch my car since it's a collector's item (06 gto). The people there are very knowledgeable in their fields and I won't have to worry about them mixing up fluids and other inconveniences I've noticed with the other shops around the area. Great oil change place. They have always been very courteous and fast. When I was there they other day, the manager was informing another customer of some problems with an oil leak. He tried three different ways to fix the problem before letting them know they needed a new oil pan. The guy could have kept his mouth shut like the last place these people got their oil change at, but went above and beyond to help them out. The location is right on the corner of academy and airport, so use airport heading east to get in their easier. If not, you have to pull into another parking lot and do a u turn to get the right entrance. read more

I went to this Grease Monkey on a Sunday afternoon because I had an oil leak. I'd changed my own oil a few days prior and apparently didn't get everything securely closed/sealed, but I didn't want to crawl around under there again looking for the problem. I explained my situation, in just those terms, to the employee who greeted me upon arrival, fully expecting a less-than-courteous reception after he heard my story. To my pleasant surprise, he was very courteous, professional, and enthusiastic and volunteered to check it out. I pulled into the bay and, sure enough, the guy underneath quickly determined that my oil filter was not completely screwed on. He invited me to come down there so he could show me, so I did. He tightened it back up, cleaned the entire underside of the engine/trans (using two entire cans of degreaser), then topped off my oil. After verifying the full oil level and checking for leaks, they thanked me(!) and sent me on my way, REFUSING to accept any compensation from me. ...all this without copping an attitude in any discernible way. Service like that is, sadly, very hard to find these days. I was very impressed and recommend them highly. read more

It's great to see hustle out of people working for you, as soon as my car was pulled in (which was fast) multiple employees started working on my car vacuuming, washing my windshield and giving the interior a quick wipe down and all I payed for was an oil change. Wonderful customer service! So open & authentic. Great prices & speedy service. They were done in 15-20 minutes! They were very honest and up front - they didn't upsale on products we don't need. We have a slow leak tire we've been meaning to patch and they offered to fill it with air whenever we need until it's time for our next oil change. Same with oil top offs until our next oil change. They aren't a fancy facility but that's not necessary at all- especially when the quality of service is so high. Will be back for all our travels. Highly recommend, try it for yourself. read more

Do not ever go here if you bring in your own oil. Oil change was fine but I spent 90bucks(45 a gallon) for AMSoil and they put3quarts way to much in my car, drained it and didn't say anything to me. Got into my car realized the other gallon was missing 3 quarts went back confronted them about it. He did admit then( not when I was actually in the store and paid) they did overfill it and offered me 20 bucks off my next oil change like I would come back so they can waste more of my money. Called the corporate number women was real nice about everything. read more

I highly recommend this location for an oil change. They were courteous, and the mechanics explained everything in detail. I left the shop with a clean car, and recommendations for service without feeling pressured at any time. The gentleman servicing my car showed me the air filter that needed to be replaced, and candidly told me I could get the same part at an auto parts store and replace it myself at a better price. (I already knew this but I did appreciate his up-front honesty in the matter.) He also gave me a 50% off new customer discount coupon that can be used on my other vehicle, and my current one when my next change is due. I was in and out in 20 min. They top off fluids for free, vacuum your car during the oil change, and check lights, breaks, etc. My windows were clean before the tech finished taking down my information! I call that service. It was slightly before 8 am, and my car was stuck at a pump at the 7-11 on the corner or airport and academy. I knew the battery was on its way out; it was stock, and had never been changed before. The jeep had been struggling to start for a few days now. I was hoping to limp through to pay day, and had run down to the corner for some coffee and smokes. Alas, I was not so fortunate. I didn't even have my phone, resigning that I'd have to walk home in my shorts and slippers just to call a tow, or get a ride to an auto parts store for a replacement battery. However, the clerk happened to have the number to Grease Monkey across the street. In exchange for my ID, they let me borrow a portable battery charger. I got the jeep started and drove across the street to return the charger, and I asked to purchase a replacement battery. They informed me that the installation was included in the price. 20 to 30 minutes later I was out the door. The warranty on the battery is an exceptional 5 years. The price tag hurt, but as a layman, I don't have any real foundation of knowledge to know how much any auto services should really "cost." I don't feel the least bit slighted, as I have in the past. And, unlike a major dealership service center I have patronized here in Colorado Springs, the costs for services is clearly displayed in the shop, so I knew what I was getting into, and there were no surprise costs to nickel and dime me. The two guys working there were very professional, and kind. The facility was clean and presented an up to date, squared away appearance. I didn't even get out of my car when I had a mechanic right there already attending me. I showed up at 7:58 am. There was already a Grease Monkey Technician ready to help me with my vehicle. They don't open till 8:00am!!! This was awesome! They are being respectful and the three Technicians that are currently working are focused on my vehicle. They cleaned my windows and from what I can tell they are hard at work. Wonderful place with wonderful employees!!! I needed my spark plugs replaced and Firestone quoted me $350!! Saying there were other tests they needed to run to make sure that's all that needed to be done so it could go up to $650 and I would have to make an appointment for later in the week... Grease Monkey had my car finished in an hour, did exactly the repair I needed and only paid $150!!! They let me know some other things that needed to be done on my vehicle but with absolutely no pressure and an honest response of telling me nothing was an emergency but could be done at a later date of my choosing. With 3 cars in the family keeping up with everything=oil changes and maintenance is really difficult. These guys have been absolutely great when Daughter in Laws brakes out and no one else could touch it IE (sears, even thought she had an appointment), pulled it in told them our story, and they had a complete brake job finished in a few hours at a reasonable price. Compass head lights out, pulled it in and had em fixed with an hour included one the had minor damage it appeared from a hit to the bumper. Ranger= oil changes as with the other two vehicles all within 20 minutes and being an old fart I always check afterward for correct fill on the oil stick and for possible leaks. Would have given them 5 starsbut each time I question if all fluids and belts checked OK and sometimes knowing my Ranger maintenance book they have noted needed stuff which doesn't apply and I try to note it to them tactfully. Today as I was finishing up the detailing of the engine compartment decided to check all the fluids since I'm going to be taking the Ranger full time and discovered while all the levels were great and fluids clean=checked the brake fluid and was really surprised. Went back to recommended paperwork for the last couple of years and under the brake area nothing noted or recommended and like I previously said I always ask if belts and fluids are ok but today have black brake fluid which isn't good. Now maybe brake fluid goes bad within a short period of time so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but since I dont mess with brakes- taking it to a dealer===that plus the last oil change of the Ranger the technician when I ask about the tire rotation recommended I take it to Pep Boys with no explanation of why. So great guys, service is normally outstanding, but you gota watch em and know what your vehicle needs since checking your owners manual could save you some bucks. Example: Grease Monkey paperwork notes rear differential requires changing but Ranger manual=lifetime oil unless leaking or submerged in water, transmission lube change recommended=manual only for 4WD and not for 2 WD when the stick shows ok. I received a coupon in the mail from these guys for a full service oil change at $6.00 off of the price of $38.00. After being charged $1.00 for different checks that were made and for getting rid of the old oil. The total bill came to over $41.00. When the coupon was applied and the taxes. My bill came to $37.75. What a rip off. I would not recommend these guys to anyone. And I will not use their service again. read more
