Being from out of state, I was a little wary, but I'm happy they recommended them to us. The pricing was reasonable, and the oil change was done quickly. I'm not sure how I feel about this situation. I got a full-synthetic oil change 10 days ago. For such an expensive service, I expect it to be done right. They were friendly, and they were swift, which I liked. Tonight, I decided to buy fuel cleaner for my car and check the oil percentage on my odometer. It was precisely the same amount when I decided to take it in! 20 percent! It usually registers low oil, about 15 percent. They told me it was good for another 5,000 miles. Do you know how upset I would be if I found this out later and it burnt up my engine because of no oil? One of two things could have happened! Either they did 1/2 an oil change, meaning the filter, and forgot the oil, OR they didn't do it at all and thought I wouldn't notice. They also claimed to top off my fluids. What makes me think they would do that if they couldn't even put in the oil I paid for? I'm appalled and trying to decide how to handle it when I return it. I worry because they might do something to my car if I complain, and I don't want to risk it. I will report this to the Better Business Bureau if they have trouble getting my money back or redoing the service properly. When you pay over $80 for a simple oil change, it should be done. If it is an honest mistake, I will gladly wait again as long as it gets done AND with the correct oil and amount. Also, I will come back here and explain the situation. I hope that, for their sake, they will do the right thing! I returned to the shop and explained my situation and thoughts. The manager was very friendly, apologetic, and accommodating. I came to find out it was a simple mistake of forgetting to reset my meter. They double-checked, and my oil tank was full of clean oil, and my fluids were topped off. They fixed the problem right away and even asked what they could do to accommodate me for my inconvenience. So, they ended up offering me a free oil change service! I must say mistakes do happen because we are all human. It was a mistake that could easily be fixed. It counts how they handle the situation and treat you as a customer. I don't like feeling I am only good for my money. I want to feel appreciated and am more than happy to return the favor. I will be going back to them again! read more

I've been bringing my vehicle here for years. Just recently, in the last year or less, I learned that they did free top-offs between oil changes. So, before I get into my last straw, my frustration started when they told me I needed to have a coolant exchange at least by the next time I bring it in, so when I did they were in such a hurry that they didn't even suggest it again, so I brought it up to them & they seemed to rush thru this. Well, about a month prior to this current situation, we got a top-off & the check engine light came on, but it seemed fine the next day so we chalked it up to being probably overfilled. The current situation: we brought it for another top-off & suddenly the car won't start not even crank. There have been ZERO starting/battery issues in the past 2 years or longer when I got my battery changed. They suggested it was battery then apparently it was the fuel regulator, so who knows what it was. However, the main problem I had with this situation was they just tried to wash their hands clean of this situation & just left me to figure out what to do next rather than help problem-solve or utilize ANY principles. I asked for them to reimburse a mechanic diagnosis & they said no as all they did was add oil. I tried to explain that I came in with a working vehicle & leaving with a broken vehicle that won't even start. They were confident that they didn't overfill or add the incorrect oil, which I'm glad they have confidence in their employees, but they're humans & can quite possibly make mistakes - so did they make a mistake & they didn't want to admit their wrong!? I'm not sure of this, but how can I go into a place with a working car & leave with a car that won't even start! I'd just be curious how they'd feel if this was done to them, their daughters, their moms, their sisters, etc. read more

I was visiting from out of town and decided to take my Cadillac to get an oil change. $95 later I walked out very upset $89 for an oil change then another $8 for another quart. They totally took advantage that I'm a woman and from another state!!! Someone please explain this!! read more

I had been on my road trip for 16 days when I noticed I needed an oil change. It was going to be another 5 days before I make it back home and the next couple of days were going to be rough for my truck. I found Grease Monkey after doing a quick search and decided to bring my truck in the next morning. The staff was very attentive - they listen to my story, where I was going, my concerns, what I thought needed to be done, etc. They started work on my truck immediately. They changed the oil, the filter, topped off fluids (which I needed due to all the bugs I've collected on the front end) and replace the air filter. Which wasn't on my list but I'm glad we did. Two days later, I encountered a horrible wind/sand storm in Monument Valley and I had to wait it out in my car with the A/C on. It was relief knowing I wasn't breathing in all that dust. Anyhow, all the work was done under an hour and I found the price very reasonable. I appreciate how everyone listen to me and that they took good care of my truck and I. I called and explained that I had a vw and just needed my coolant changed. Drain it and fill it. Simple. They said no problem and had the best price n town. I get there they say we can't do import cars. Gotta go to this other place. Yet they change oil on almost anything. He coulda told me that on the phone and saved me the trip. On a good note tho the guy was nice and he checked my antifreeze for me to see where it was. I would recommend for oil change maybe but not much else. read more

I've been coming here for 18 years now with every vehicle that I've ever owned and they always treat me fairly, and more importantly - honestly. They'll tell me that something is approaching needing to be done, but can wait until my next oil change which I appreciate and can plan on. Amazing customer service! The "Service Engine" light came on in my Chevy Blazer, and I brought it to this Grease Monkey. They were extremely busy! There were two cars waiting at each bin, and a gentleman came out to my vehicle when I arrived to see what services I needed. I showed him the light, and he sent another man out right away with the diagnostic computer. The man's name was Raul. Raul ran the diagnostic, determined that I needed coolant, topped of my coolant and sent me on my way! The "Service Engine light is no longer on, and I am a very happy customer! My oil change on my Subaru here this summer was the most serious case of price gouging I can recall finding. They charged me $71.99 (plus taxes, etc,) for an oil change with the excuse for the outrageous price being that the manufacturer required synthetic oil. When I protested to the manager he said he had no choice; the owner required this price. I then checked with the local Subaru dealer and they said they would do such an oil change for a price somewhere in the forties which is about what I would have expected in that my regular mechanics shop does it for something in the thirties (including synthetic oil as with the Subaru dealer). A business that treats its customers this way does not deserve to be in business. read more
