The hand pies are one of a kind yum. When we were leaving the restaurant from having lunch we decided to buy 2 of them, peach and apple. Had them the next 3 days and they were awesome. We were told to air fry them for around 3-4 minutes and let me tell you... we aren't big sweet eaters but these pies will have us coming back. Next we went there for the hamburger. This is our first time to ever visit the Greasy Cove. My wife and I split a cheeseburger with onion, tomato, pickle , lettuce ketchup, mayo and we added mustard. The homemade fries we ordered ($4.00) on the side came in their own basket. Piping hot and fresh. I told my wife they served too large a portion. We finished them all. The burger patty was cooked on a flat top, so the edges were crispy and they hung over the bun. So good. This was our first visit and we have noticed Greasy Cove on different social media platforms for a couple of years and finally decided to try them as we passed down 59 South and took the 15-20 minute drive. My wife and I drove 40 miles to buy some produce such as Tomatoes, Cantaloupes, and Peaches, and all of it was terrible. The tomatoes had rotten spots throughout. The cantaloupe was not ripe and very hard and crunchy, and the peaches smelled good, but they were crunchy and not ripe. I know it's not full season on these that we bought, but if you can't offer better than that, stop selling junk. A wasted trip. read more

First.. it's a nice drive. Out in the sticks. Is an unusual place, but it's authentic. I loved the atmosphere. If your looking for some place like "Perry''s Steakhouse".. you got the wrong place. This place has Amazing Hamburgers. The burgers are hand patted and always cooked to perfection. Everyone that works there are very friendly and their service is fantastic. They have handcut fries and today the fries were cooked to long almost burnt. They just need to cook them not so long. I will go back and hopefully the fries will improve. Great Place! read more

We come here every weekend to enjoy the restaurant and buying our fresh produce and flowers. They have a special every weekend sometimes two or three all the food is off the chain.You owe it to yourself to stop in here it's worth the drive and a cup of homemade ice cream is incredible and the mountain air blows away the calories. After lunch you can go up to Horse Pens 40 on top of Chandler mountain and have a hike out to lookout point. Such a great Saturday experience! read more

If this isn't the definition of hidden gem then nothing really is. This place is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing for miles in any direction. Really cool set up, outside is set up with potted plants that are for sale (see pics) and a pseudo farmers market (not tons of stuff, but some fresh farm grown produce). When you go inside they have a small general store that has some staples (I'm guessing for people that live in the area so they don't have to drive to get something the need). But, the star of the show is the food!! It's not a huge expansive menu, but what they have they do it well. My wife went for a pimento burger and added some customizations such as a fried green tomato and bacon. I went for another one of the burgers, the spicy cow - double beef patty, pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos (had to add bacon to this one). Nothing about this is small....overflowing with toppings and cooked to blistering hot perfection. This burger really delivers a flavor experience. Southern like no othern. Mercy, what a cheesburger. I forgot what a real burger was supposed to taste like. Then I ate here and now I'm plumb rurnt. They got a sandwich called the "David Cone" that is a double everything BLT that'll scratch an itch you didn't know you had. Their home made ice cream taste like a Southern-Sunday-All-Day-Revival-and Dinner-On-The-Ground- Dessert from my childhood. I'm rurnt, I tell you. Rurnt through and through.
