What's Fresh? - Food Truck Thursday…read more Holy crap! I'm not usually a cold sandwich type of guy for food truck Thursday but on the recommendation of a friend I had to try it. Warren, the executive chef and owner of What's Fresh?, crushed the competition today. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly smile, none other than the owners Mom. Yup, Warren's mother. This is the lady who makes the pickles for their sandwiches and wraps. I ordered the porktastic sandwich with the hope that it would be good. Unwrapping this meal I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of bread Warren uses for his sandwiches. The mustard used on it is the perfect complement to the fresh greens and pork. The explosion of flavors complimenting each other was absolutely awesome!!! Fresh tomato, a fresh mix of greens (baby spinach is always good with pork) and those pickles. Pickles! Crisp with a lot of flavor! I loved it! Just so you know, for the $8 you not only get the sandwich but a bag of chips and a drink. That's $2 less than any other food truck on the street. I guess fresher is better! While Warren and his wife Bonnie have only been working the food truck for 4 months, it is definitely a hit around here.
