My 11 year daughter received a referral from our dentist to the practice. My daughter, wife any…read moremyself, after removing her early from school, scheduled and met for a consultation. Stephanie spoke with us for about 15 minutes and conducted some x rays and spoke about a plan for her teeth. She was very nice, helpful and professional. Dr. Lenk then entered the room and started his presentation. He got off track a bit about 10 minutes into the conversation. I then asked a couple questions to get him back on track and he then abruptly stated "It was too hot in the room, I was too aggressive and asked us to leave ". The other four of us in the room looked at each other awkwardly as he exited the room. Stephanie, his assistant said " I'm not sure what just happened". My daughter thought he was joking. He then poked his head back in the exam room and said, " Leave now". Needless to say, Dr. Lenk was extremely unprofessional and couldn't handle a couple normal questions from a seated position, not loud or out of line any parent would ask. There was zero aggression directed toward him. We left like normal, adults without a scene and upset we wasted out time with such an unprofessional person.

It sure can seem arbitrary and when you ask service reps apparently no one knows how this secret sauce works... it just happens! That said, I am perplexed that this office has only 5 featured write ups but 19 that fall under "not recommended." Seems strange. One of those unfeatured posters tho suggested that the doctor was trying to just get more money out of the reviewer's son. I can say without question that that is NOT how Dr Lenk does business! I have seen him time and again reduce fees and no-charge certain services to help out patients in need. He has historically been very generous seeing kids with NH Medicaid. 60% of the state's dentists do NOT see those patients because the low reimbursement rates result in the practice often taking a loss. So while that unfair accusation was buried in "not recommended" section (along with a dozen good looking reviews!) I couldn't stand by without speaking up in defense of Lenk Orthodontics. Now, all four top teeth have root canal issues, and the cost to fix this is over $20,000. On top of that, he used an intense light that left dark spots on my lips after drying the glue. Lindgren falsely claimed I cursed his staff, which is completely untrue. If I had, I would ask him to specify exactly what was said and to whom. I urge him to do the right thing. This behavior is unprofessional and immature. Dentist. John Lindgren and his wife, both highly educated and quick to defend themselves, seem skilled at deflecting criticism rather than addressing the real issues at hand. Despite their credentials, their behavior throughout my treatment was unprofessional and disrespectful.

We are parents in the medical and dental fields, and we were having a problem deciding on an…read moreorthodontist for our child who has some difficult and major orthodontic problems. We had had consulted and discussed our child's case with more orthodontists than we anticipated, and received conflicting treatment plans. Not expecting a resolution, we acted on a recommendation to see Drs. Chan and Chen. These are our experience: 1. They had a busy schedule, but Dr. Chen stayed after hours to see us. She spent more than an hour explaining her findings and recommendations. To use our child's favor phrase "Who does that?" We are health care providers, so we know that this is one hallmark of a doctor who truly cares. 2. Dr. Chen is super knowledgeable. By now we have read volumes of orthodontic textbooks and articles. We have no clinical experiences in orthodontics, but we know much more about orthodontics than maybe the average parent. Dr. Chen's findings were consistent with what we understood about our child's problems and more. Her recommendations were detailed and addressed all of our concerns. Her treatment details not only agreed with the textbooks and research findings, in areas where there were controversies Dr. Chen was able to offer very sincere and clear recommendations. She was not dogmatic about her recommendations but able to offer clear explanations and good alternatives. Orthodontics is very much an art as much as it is a science, and Dr. Chen excels in both. She also offered her experiences in treating her own son about the very same problems as our child had. How reassuring is that? 3. The stuff, from Teri at the front desk to Tori the assistant, were super friendly and helpful. Our child is shy, and they made her feel comfortable throughout her appointments. 4. The office is clean, professional, and parking is easy. We drive a long distance to see Dr. Chen. We decided that she was our child's orthodontist and was worth the extra driving. 5. The practice uses advanced technologies. For example, the xray is digital. Radiation exposure is a concern for us, and digital xray has low radiation. Dr. Chen was so accommodating. She didn't mind using the xrays we got from another office to lessen the radiation exposure to our child. They use digital impression to scan their patients' teeth instead the old fashion impressions. This allows more accurate impressions and comfort for their patients. I could go on and on about how wonderful this office and Dr. Chen are. We are looking forward to getting the best orthodontic results for our child with Dr. Ivy Chen. I will update our experience, and everything so far tells us that we will have more wonderful things to say about this orthodontic practice.
