I learned about this place through a video and I was in charge of finding an alternative activity for our rafting plans and decided on this. It's $45/person but I found a deal on groupon 14 people for $313? If you commute is by car, be prepared to pay for parking. I parked at Airgarage $10/hourly, max $25 daily unless you can find a better one. Since we were a big group, it was really easy for us to get into the mood of competitiveness. I don't typically enjoy cheesy, organized activities but I actually had a lot of fun at the Great Big Game Show! When considering options for our team offsite, this was actually on the less expense side compared to other things, around $45 per person. This also was not such a time suck either, only an hour, with an option to extend, which was perfect. We had a group of 8 adults. I really feared this would be awkward and not very fun but wow I was proved wrong. The host made this such a fun experience. I didn't catch her name but she was super high energy the entire time, while complimenting our energy and humor. She explained the games concisely and easy enough for different age groups to understand. We went with the standard game which had a variety of trivia, building, and just dumb luck games. It literally feels like you're on TV, it's super dark when you get into your room then it fills with lights and sounds. It's a cool experience. We didn't make a reservation but came right at opening, so we had the room to ourselves. You may get paired with randoms if you have a smaller size group and don't book a private space. This spot is located on Fisherman's Wharf, which on a weekday, I wouldn't worry about being super busy. There are plenty of affordable parking garages nearby. With so much to do in SF, I wouldn't say this is my first choice but if you're spending the day on the wharf, with a family, or looking for a unique team outing. I definitely recommend. read more

We went into this with some reservations about how good could this really be? Rest assured, it was pretty darn good! Had a great time with our group of 5 being divided into 2 teams and matched boys against the girls. It was a fun filled action packed solid hour and our 'Host' Sam kept things well organized and moving. Great idea if looking for something unusual to do in the Warf area! We ended up having a full 14 of us, but everyone was able to participate and no one ever felt excluded in any way. There was a great mix of trivia, luck based games, and more! I came here this past Saturday with family - a total of 6 of us including my 7-year-old nephew. We had an incredible time! Travis was an awesome host. I especially loved those cheezy pre-canned one-liners which transitioned into the games - it made it feel more like you were on an actual game show. Some thoughts on what could have made the experience better for us: - I wish we could have been given a choice on which games we would get to play. The "Elementary" game fell a little bit flat for us. - Might be a difficult ask depending on how the games are built, but I wish we could have given some questions to the host beforehand to be able to ask us, at which point we would allow my nephew to answer them to be able to get him more involved. I think he still had fun regardless, but I'm sure he would've enjoyed being able to hit the buzzer and answer a trivia question here and there. - More comeback mechanics in this game would be appreciated. At a certain point my team was winning by a large margin, and a lot of that was due to unlucky spins at the wheel by the opposing team. Close games are always more exciting. Like anything else, the experience is as fun as you make it, so bring an energetic vibe, be a good sport, and I'm sure you'll have a good time. We look forward to coming back again. read more
