The food here was such a huge highlight of our San Francisco trip !! After a long day exploring the city we overestimated the amount of time we had to go grab clam chowder at boudins. What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. Boardroom is such a fun sports bar! I came here with friends to watch the first NBA finals game. I got their boneless wings with buffalo sauce. They came with ranch and the chicken portion was substantial!! Almost couldn't finish these, but they were so good and the buffalo sauce was delicious! I also got the mini nachos from their happy hour menu, but these were anything but mini. The portion of these was also very generous and I couldn't finish them. They came loaded up with beans, cheese, pickled onions and peppers. These were really good too! There were lots of TVs inside and also TVs outside too. Overall great experience! We came here as a group of 12 for trivia night on Tuesday. Got there around 7 (trivia starts at 730) and we just got lucky to snag the last open table. You can still participate in trivia but it starts to become standing room only after 7! They recommend getting there as early as 6:15 for a guaranteed table. Our group ended up having to split into two, so just a note if you're coming with a lot of people (perfect opportunity for some friendly competition haha)! As for the trivia topics itself, there was: movies, music, general, mystery theme & some sports related questions sprinkled in. The host was overall well-versed in the topics but some of his comments felt unnecessary and a little unhinged (which seems to be a common trend based off other reviews on here too). He overheard one of the team's guesses and essentially put them on blast through the mic, announcing to everyone "No, it's not the f***ing hokey pokey". Another time he made a comment about it starting to rain and papers started getting wet... related it to himself... and what happens when girls see him... you get the gist. The food was a very reasonable price & enjoyable. We got quesadillas, salads, and nachos to share. Overall, this place is a great location for trivia! Im giving this place 5 stars because the vibes rocked, my food was good but mostly because they fed my dog a plate of bacon. Me and my friend came for dinner pretty late at night, it was pretty empty and there was plenty of space for us and my dog. I got the tomato/arugula/burrata sandwich--no complaints. What I really fucked with was the sweet potato waffle fries and ranch...crispy and so good. My friend got the tacos. She's notoriously picky in my opinion and wasn't really a big fan. She said it tasted like the meat sauce you put in spaghetti but it's literally beef and she knew that when she ordered it so I don't know what to tell her lmfao. Idk I don't fucking eat meat. She confirmed they were indeed crispy. anyways, the queen behind the bar delivered not just a water bowl for my dog, but also some BACON STRIPS. man had the best feast of his life. This is specifically a review for the Tuesday Trivia at 7:30pm! You need to make sure to get there pretty early if you want to snag a table, it was absolutely packed! But totally understand why, it was super fun and well organized! Winners get prizes ranging from $40 in bar credits to bottles of mini sparkling wine. In terms of food, the totchos felt the most worth for the price (huge portions for $10) as opposed to the burgers ($12-14). Ordering got a bit backed up so you do have to wait for a while, but the main star of the night is the trivia not the food. Definitely will come back again for the fun night! read more

One of the bathrooms was out of order so it took a while to get into the other one, then when I did, drunk morons were yelling at me after literally 1 minute to get out. Had a wonderful time at the Boardroom a few months ago to watch a Warriors game with some friends. It was busy but not too packed, with seating and even screens outside for people to enjoy. Service was also pretty quick for a bar, not only for the drinks and getting the attention of the bartender, but even for the food. We ordered a loaded tots platter which was huge, we had trouble finishing it even though we were four. The tits were surprisingly perfect and crispy, with a healthy dosage of topping which made it even more delicious. With a nice atmosphere, good service, and reasonable prices, it was a really enjoyable bar. I'd definitely come back for other events. read more

Just a classic SF bar with decently priced beers, good food from the kitchen, and a no frills crowd on weekdays. Can't say much about the weekend crowd, but I appreciated watching some games and being able to down my beers and my burger without being bothered. Bartenders are great, and I never had to wait long to get my next beer. I'll be back on the quiet days for more brews. I also like their selection of taps, which is more evenly distributed than a lot of other joints that mainly just serve the IPA crowd. His own dog got loose and attacked a patron's dog and when they asked him to control his dog, he got in their face and started screaming, 'OH WE'RE GONNA FIGHT NOW! WE'RE GONNA FIGHT NOW!' He put his dogs away, came back outside to threaten the same table of people and when the rest of us started telling him how ridiculous he was being and laughing at him, he then threatened to punch a different patron and even went so far as to grab the malt vinegar condiment and threatened to pour it all over this ~25 year old kid (who was smart enough to grab the mustard and pop the top LOL). They legit had a condiment standoff. Anyway, the poor bouncer and bartenders couldn't really do anything because that's their BOSS and they want to keep their jobs. The manager eventually went back inside and just started drinking at the end of the bar casually as if nothing had happened, the bartenders offered free drinks to the patrons who were threatened by the manager. read more

Came here spontaneously when I was looking for a cafe and a place to pee while waiting for a friend at an appointment. Bartender was friendly and pleasant. Decided to order food because reviews said the bacon wrapped tots are the deal. Yes, they're good. Crispy and fried. $10 - ok Ordered a $14 "Smoked brisket sandwich" on a soft roll with pickled onions. Asked for onions on side. What arrived was a small hoagie - with some brisket and pickled onions on the sandwich. I called this out because it was both cold and had the onions on the sandwich. Bartender took it back had them remake it. This time it came back small, onions on the side, but with purple cabbage "slaw" and jalapeños. Menu didn't mention anything about slaw or jalapeños. Ordered "fried spicy Brussel sprouts." Those were steamed and seemed to be maybe quickly reheated in a pan to make them appear fried. They were sad and not fried. $12 - I think not. Bartender was the best thing about this place. If you got the munchies, do that elsewhere. Too bad, because the same grub at a bar in Portland or Seattle would be both delicious and less expensive. Great drinks and filling food, but the real draw is weekday trivia, which is one I've most enjoyed in the city. We got super lucky our friends had arrived uber early and secured a whole table outside, because we would not have been able to be seated otherwise. The trivia master was excellent, and I found the references to be culturally varied and play to the strengths of our somewhat age-and-background diverse group (answers range from billy joel to the Chinese zodiac to simply "yeet"). There were several rounds, which is ideal if you want something to slowly chip away at your unfounded trivia self-confidence but give you a fun time nonetheless. Two very memorable ones were (1) the pattern round, where all the answers to the questions were related to each other in some way (we found one pattern correctly and the other incorrectly; it was a blast) and (2) the music round, the results of which you could not waterboard out of me. Needless to say, we were quickly gunning for the "most average" team (we did not win that title either, but maybe next time). Our trivia master was friendly and welcoming, and we got to chat with him at the end. He mentioned that his regulars get a sense of the hints and patterns in his questions which adds yet another layer to the game, but you didn't hear that because we're using all we can to come in first time time. read more

If you're visiting San Francisco, I can't recommend it highly enough - the regulars, the bartenders, and the bouncers will treat you like family. The bartenders in particular are kind and friendly people. I've been coming here every fall and winter Saturday for years now and they are genuinely sweet people who just want you to have a fun time at the bar. They will change the channel to your game; heck, they'll have it pre-tuned if you give them a days' worth of heads-up. That said, this is a VERY popular sports bar, so you should prepare yourself for friendly sports banter. The drinks are fairly priced and well-made. The food, on the other hand, is VERY good pub food, especially the chicken sandwich and their brunch options. If you have an early game, I strongly recommend Boardroom's breakfast burrito.
