This brewery was so good we came here every day except one on our vacation. The only reason we didn't make it that one day was because we were out of the area, otherwise it would be every day of our vacation. The outside seating area is perfect. There's plenty of shaded spots and sun spots depending on where you like to sit. Every beer we tried was so good! The employees were always friendly and helpful. I wish I could get this beer in NY because the socks and sandals hazy was sooo good! My only regret is not buying more merch! A must stop spot if you like great beer and good vibes!

I've been to other locations of theirs. It's always a relaxed setting with great beer. It was such a beautiful day. You decided to go down to the wharf. Sit under the sunny skies. Watch the boats grab a beer.

We arrived in San Francisco and Pier 39 was one of our first stops. It was right before lunch and we were walking down the pier deciding where we wanted to have lunch but also wanted a quick drink as we were coming from the East Coast so it was a long flight. We came upon humble sea brewing. When you walk in you see a great view of the bay and we were greeted very promptly. The gentleman behind the bar did a great job of explaining the different types of brews and what would be the most economic option for us. We ended up getting a four pack of their lager. It was crisp, cold, and refreshing just what we needed. It was a great stop, and I would definitely try more of their brews if I come across them.

Very nice addition to Pier 39! Wish this was around while l lived in the city, but I'm glad to have chanced upon this taproom today. This location doesn't exactly have the best view unless you're into docked boats lol. Anyway, I their Life Finds A Wave - definitely not the typical stouts I've tried. Excited to try their other drinks on tap next time! Wish the food options are a bit better. This location partnered up with Taco Cantina. It's very expensive .

The location of Humble Sea is incredible as you stare out the windows and into the marina, almost giving the sensation that your are drinking beer on a sailboat. This would be a great place to spend a few hours with friends, soaking up the cool vibes and enjoying tasty brews and good people. The service is also exceptional and my beers seemed to refill as soon as my glass was empty! The beers were pretty good; I'm not going to lie that there may be some better prospects in Oakland (nope, I'm not from Oakland) but if you find yourself in need of good craft beer while you are around pier 39, Humble Sea is a great choice!

We were playing tourist and we stumbled upon this place. It's about halfway down on Pier 39 and has a great outdoor deck to enjoy your beer and the scenery of the boats docked in the bay. Also, it's great to hang out here and people watch since there are so many tourists that flow through Pier 39. I say pop in and check it out!

Came on a friday late afternoon! They have a good amount of beer selection. We got one a socks & sandals hazy ipa. The view on the outside patio is nice - you get a view of the the boats stationed on the water. they dont sell food but plenty of food options around. they also connect with one of the neighboring restaurants- u can scab their menu & they'll bring u food to the brewery.

Cute little taproom with more seats on the patio outside. You can order food to your table from the taco place next door. Good variety of beer! Bartender was friendly.

New Tap House outpost on Pier 39! Definitely worth a visit. This outpost stands apart from all the traditional tourist spots on Pier 39! We enjoyed their beautiful outdoor seating with harbor and city views and enjoyed their IPA sampler - $8 pours for $42! Great way to try all their IPAs! Service is fast and friendly - you order at the bat and grab your own table! They don't have food but there are QR codes on the table to order from the nearby Taco Cantina!! We were happy with their IPAs!!

Sneaked in a drink while visiting the fisherman's wharf! Delicious drink! Very satisfying! Right by the water, and the breeze!! Bartender excellent! Would recommend for a quick drink! Couple more options would be great! But overall nice little brew house.

I want to start by saying thank you to the Humble Sea team for placing their newest location on Pier 39. It was an amazing reason for me and my boy to bring our kids to a tourist attraction that we've tried to stay away from due to high traffic and over pricing. Humble Sea has arguably the best beers in all of the Bay Area. I have been to each one of their tap rooms or breweries and they never seem to disappoint. Today was no different. The beer was amazing. I had the limited super pop, tropical blue and a fog this hazy IPA. Both drinks were excellent. Pier 39 really is a marvel. The kids loved it, and the location provided a view of the bay bridge, Treasure Island, and the ocean. It is a stunning scenery on a beautiful day. So given all that, why did I knock down one star? Well mostly because the food options were limited at the brewery. They have a partnership with a Cantina nearby that charges about six dollars a taco plus. We were really hungry and since the other locations have really great food, we were hoping this would be the same Unfortunately it was not. I am hoping that they can get a partner or a kitchen within the establishment to be able to provide more affordable food options that are quality level. Until they are able to do that, I'm not sure that I would go back and instead would opt for a better experience at Pacifica or Alameda.

A fun brewery on the pier in San Francisco. They have a good selection of beers on tap and a nice big patio overlooking the harbor.

Great brewery with nice Bay Area views. Beer is good, nice atmosphere. Brewery does no offer food but partnered with taco cantina next door.

This creative brewmaster, Justin Boehle, has lots of unique, tasty beers on the menu. I'm a lover of sour beers and this spot had two on tap. I tasted the Revenge of the Nerds sour, 7.5% ABV, with mixed kettle fermentation with Nerds candy. It was sour, sweet and warranted a 13 ounce pour for $11. They put crushed Nerds candy on the rim for an extra sour kick. This thing had a fruity kick and lots of punch. I followed the sour up with a 13 ounce pour of the Flanders-style ale for $18. This dark brown, 8% ABV ale, was aged in French Burgundy barrels. It had a very rich whisky burn and lots of full mouthfeel. A lovely ale for sipping. Stop by the brewing company for creative and amazing beers from Justin Boehle.

There is this easy, open energy to the place, especially being right there in Ghirardelli Square, where you can bounce between inside and outside and never feel stuck in one vibe. The beer lineup is solid across the board, the kind where everyone at the table finds something they are into without overthinking it. Crisp lagers, a few bolder options, all brewed in-house and actually worth coming back for. The food holds its own too. Elevated but still approachable, perfect for sharing or just settling in with something satisfying while you sip. What keeps us going back is how versatile it is. My guests were very kind and understanding of my desires to sample everything at the table, so I was able to try every dish. The scaloppini was perfectly cooked. It was tender, flavorful, and balanced. I was also impressed with the spaghetti alla carbonara. The emulsification of the eggs, cheese, and pasta water was on point and gave the dish a silky texture while still tasting bright and rich. When I got to the pappardelle and the amatriciana (my dish), the only two red sauce dishes at the table, both tasted oddly lifeless and dry, despite the quality of the ingredients and the restaurant itself. I was surprised. My guess was that the noodles may have absorbed too much moisture while sitting, or perhaps the pasta wasn't finished with enough pasta water. Another possibility was that the fat from the proteins in the sauces was separated instead of properly emulsifying into the sauce. When that happens, pasta can taste dry or slightly chalky. Luckily, during an earlier conversation, our server had brought over a bottle of extra virgin olive oil. I added a small amount to refresh the noodles, and the transformation was immediate. The oil coated the pasta, restoring a silky texture and helping carry the flavors across the palate. The olive oil softened the sharper acidic edges of the tomato sauce while helping the savory notes bloom and linger longer. More importantly, it helped reunify the sauce and pasta so the dishes tasted cohesive again. The added fat essentially restored the emulsion and dramatically improved both plates. It was magical. In that moment, I understood why this was the Winner of 2009 Boss of the Sauce award. It deserved it and it still deserves it. When we arrived, we sat inside at the bar, and I'm glad we did. The man behind the bar elevated the experience from something that could have been average restaurant experience into something more memorable. Though he was clearly busy and not hovering over us, sitting at the bar gave us direct access to him. If we needed something, we'd simply ask. But what made the experience special wasn't attentive service in the traditional sense, it was more the genuine humanity of it. I truly felt like a guest who was hanging-out in a friend's kitchen during a party while he casually hosted around me. I could talk with him naturally while he worked. There was no script, no performative upselling, just authentic hospitality and a genuine care for the cuisine and us. He turned me on to dishes simply by being a good host. That kind of atmosphere feels like an insider experience, both literally inside the restaurant and socially inside the circle of the people creating the experience. Those conversations with the staff probably don't happen at a patio table. Don't get me wrong, the patio has its own energy and purpose. Outside feels more like a lively beer garden with music, groups sitting at picnic tables, and heaters. But inside at the bar felt personal. I'm already planning to go back to sit at the bar for a cappuccino and tiramisu. On a side note: A couple of other dishes that caught my attention as those came out of the kitchen were the cheese pizza and the osso buco.

Good wine and cocktail selection from the bar. I would pass on their burgers though which are mediocre. What makes this place 5-stars is the service and ambiance. Some of their staff have been there for several years, which is a testament to how well the restaurant is run. Since it's along the Embarcadero and close to Fisherman's Wharf, a lot of tourists tend to wander in. And this is probably why their website says there's a strict dress code. Then they said "please don't move around so we can get the right food to you" which, like fine but that's not the reason they didn't want us to move. You're aiming for a hoity toity atmosphere, we can move plates around. There's an obnoxious but unenforced dress code (no jerseys then someone came in with a jersey and was as seated, no baseball hats...), but the straw that broke the camels back was when the hostess asked me to stay seated while I was seated. My 4 year old needed entertainment as we were paying the bill, we were in our last few minutes there and she told me that I had to stay in my seat. Which I was.
