I had the Salisbury steak served with soup of the day, a garden salad (highly recommend the house dressing!), mashed potatoes and onion gravy. It's SO good and the portion is perfect. My husband had the cheeseburger served with a garden salad and fries. The hamburger patty for both meals was incredible. Whatever they're doing here, they're doing it right. I started with the Pickled Tea Leaf salad, which consisted of little tea and lots of roasted lima beans and peas. The salad was tasty, and crunchy, but a little too salty. And I ordered my "Main Curry" with the spice level of "4," which was still a bit too spicy to showcase flavours other than heat. I ordered the curry with Naan, which was fresh and well prepared. The pork included with the "Main Curry" was a bit tough for my tastes as well. It also looked like a big bowl of mush, with a layer of grease on top. The gravy was also a bit thinner than that of a thai or indian curry. I enjoyed my meal at Golden Pagoda and perhaps I just did it wrong. It's not exactly conducive for a business person traveling alone, or anybody else who is a solo diner. Portions are huge, and you need to order multiple dishes in order to get all of your required nutrients.
