Put it this way...my haircut was so bad the manager had to step in, and I have THREE FREE haircuts to fix it over the next year... I will NOT be cashing in those free haircuts, because the "fix" was even worse than the original cut. They only know how to do ONE cut for men...bzzzzzz...they don't trim your hair. They just grab the clippers and whack off everything. Spend the extra $5 and go to a stylist/salon. You'll thank me. read more

Starting with a new customer in Cereal City and I can't look like a shaggy mess, now can I? I stopped at the Great Clips and had a wait for my haircut which was my own fault for not checking in on the app. I did arrive at a good time as people arriving after me were looking at a 60+ minute wait. Usually good but.... I had to bolt from my usual haircut place (Great Clips) since I was getting passed over for service. I walk through the front door and I'm next in line. As I wait, a family walks in, and they had checked in online. No problem, I can wait. Then another family comes in and does the same thing. So now there are enough people ahead of me, to feel like I'm at the DMV. Nice group of employees, but a very lame system. *** Update *** I have since started to use the application on my phone to check in prior to arrival, and I don't wait for more than a few minutes. read more

"Great", it is not. "Good", no. "Ok", maybe.... if the hair you're wishing to clip is on a man or child's head. I went in for a super-simple trim off the bottom of a single layer cut. Sounds easy-peasy, but apparently not. Looking in a mirror at home, my hair had been trimmed at an angle... shorter over the left shoulder than the right. I think I could've done this well at home & saved the money & tip. On the plus side, they are quick & there's easy parking near the door. read more

Not happy about my visit. The person cut my hair way to short. I didn't notice while the haircut was going on, she mentioned it. She even ask if I had a "cowlick". In 55 plus years of haircuts, cowlick was NEVER mentioned by a barber or stylist. I'll never go back to this one. In there defense, I was contacted but because of my schedule and how I work I knew I'd never have the time to go back in for anything. Besides, my hair was so badly cut, the only thing left to do was to cut it even shorter... Great Clips in Jackson MI does a much better job and have never been disappointed! Loves like future trips to Jackson will just have to figure out how I'm going to get over there, or find some place else in Battle Creek to get a haircut. read more

Some of the barbers here don't even know how to cut hair. I went and I usually like my hair longer and so I told the newer blonde one that I wanted it and I quote "A little bit shorter on top, just a little" and she said "Alright" then proceeds to take a fucking half inch to inch right off. Then she didn't even say anything like it was fine and then doesn't trim my sideburns and then barely shaves the back. My back was longer than my sides. She took less than 10 minutes to cut it. Do not go here I know I won't ever go to another great clips ever. read more

Great place for getting a quick haircut. They are always so nice to me when I come in. The check in app works very well, I would suggest using it, makes the process quicker. For those that are regulars like myself, they know your cut which makes it easier and quicker if you are crunched for time. I like going to Great Clips. read more

The worst haircut I've ever had! Evie did an absolutely terrible job! The lack of talent and completely miserable results showed today! I would highly recommend going a different route if you would like a professional haircut and experience. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone after the poor quality of service I received. We had to purchase clippers and fix this chop job in the mirror at home to be even remotely presentable. They say you get what you pay for! Not happy at all to say the least!! TERRIBLE!! read more

It always amazes me how wonderful these stylist are, they cut all day, they must really know hair. These people have far more experience than any of those posh salons when it comes to cutting. If you're seeking a lot of attention and someone to listen to your drama then go to a high end salon and pay the price, they will listen and take your money. But when it comes down to it they all got the same training, and there are some horrible stylist at the high end places as well. Some people are just a cut above the rest as in any job. read more
