I was very unhappy with the service we got back in February. I had called to make a reservation for…read more3 family members & was told there was no issue with this and that there was availability. Now, upon arriving- the receptionist checked me in and asks us to pick a color, she then ends up doing my nails. I give it a shot, cause why not, maybe she is a gal with multiple talents. I look over and overhear my moms conversation with her gal, whom I believe is primarily a hair stylist, and realize my sister got the actual nail tech, which relieves me a tiny bit. (Perhaps this won't be so bad I tell myself) However, the pedicure chairs were in non-working conditions. We could not get a massage setting on, nor could you move them forward or backwards to be more comfortable, you couldn't get them to turn on period (the nail tech lets us know they haven't been working, and that these were "new chairs" ....but they still aren't working). As I am getting my pedicure, the receptionist does not do much to my feet for it to be even considered a pedicure- she takes off my prior nail polish, but leaves some color behind. She does not do any sort of cuticle removal or push back, and the painting of my nails are just awful, streak mark, no top coat or bottom coat!- but I mean , for gods sake, she's a receptionist not a nail tech! (So why did they tell me my reservation was OK when they don't have available nail techs to begin with?!) I shly as the nail tech helping my sister if she could just fix my nail color to a different one, in case the color was just not a good batch. She mentions that the gal didn't do much to my cuticle or even filed properly. She says she doesn't have enough time to re-do my nails so she says she will do the best she can. (She only repaints them) We then move on to the manicure portion..(this is when I probably should have mentioned something) but my moms gal was so nice & trying really hard and her nail painting came out decently good for my mom, so I press forward. Don't get me wrong the hair stylist is very sweet & helpful, but she is just not a nail tech. But I get my nails done anyway, because a girl just wants her nails done! Thankfully, the receptionist gal doesn't do gel..otherwise I would be screwed..and point blank- pretty upset if she didn't do my nails right. I had made the appointment to find some time to relax with my mom & sister before I moved out of the country on military orders but was very displeased. The nail tech mentions this to the other gals I believe but we have no manager come over to help or to even see what the issue was . We spent at least $300 there, my sister even buying some gifts from the small boutique inside afterwards. We were even priced at a professional nail tech price, when the gals weren't even nail techs! Very unhappy. I debated posting because it's passed, but someone in management should know so other people don't have the same experience. Kindly,

This is a new salon (Mr. MVP and I have been going to Chip for almost a year now at another salon) and the staff here feels excited and refreshed. Chip has always done an excellent job cutting our hair. He is patient and takes the time to listen. This salon is on the pricier side (approximately $50 for a haircut), but you are getting a professional haircut by extremely talented people. We keep going back because Chip makes taking care of my hair absolutely simple, and that is worth every single penny.

The space was open and bright, the displays were neatly placed and since it was my first time, they walked me back to the massage area waiting room. The decor back there changed into a more calming, serene and comfortable space with dimmer lighting and soft carpet. They made a menu of service on the table for both the salon and the spa and they were both easy to read, explain what each service was and included pricing for everything so it didn't feel like there was even a possibility of a surprise charge. My massage therapist was Em, and I have to say she is the BEST massage therapist I have ever had! I've always been able to relax during a massage but not almost fall asleep! The roofers were doing finishing touches (rain delayed the end date) but with the calming music, ocean sounds and the massage I barely heard them. After my massage, I felt like a new woman, she fixed my back (threw it out a month ago) and made my shoulders feel like they were made of butter. It was so relaxing and I felt refreshed and reenergized that I was family able to come home and clean our kitchen, decorate for my fiancé's birthday and a million of things that I had been wanting to get down but didn't have any energy. I have gone multiple times, specifically for access bars, and all I can say is wow. I have left feeling calmer and my anxiety was significantly reduced. I kept an open mind going in, my first session felt good and my second session is where I really felt amazing and all of the effects. I've been going many times since. Although it is a corporate system, there will always be people, who by their key nature will be aesthetically artistic, talented, healers of a sort. The stylists were so compassionate & dedicated to creating results even with the breakage I've had. The salon itself feels very high-end & cozy. They offer complimentary drinks & shoulder massages.
