She insisted that I accompany her to get her hair done, and I ended up having to bring my 3 month old grandson along so I was a little worried, but luckily, they have a comfortable sitting area. I was able to just sit and relax with the baby and watch my daughter's hair being transformed. It's a very cool place too, so I also enjoyed just looking at how they have the place decorated. Sometimes pricier services are worth it when you know it supports staff. I will note that one of our group members had a less than stellar time, having had her finger pad cut during the manicure. The staff tried to resolve the issue overall, and mistakes happen, but this soured the experience just a bit.

I had an appointment with Dana for a special haircut. I saved my money (it was way more than I…read moreusually pay) and treated myself to a top-level haircut and stylist. I showed her an Instagram video of the cut and expressed that my son was getting married in 2 weeks, so this cut was important. I was in the chair maybe 4 minutes, head bent forward, snip, side to side snip and the cut was done. After researching how this cut was usually done, I was beside myself. The Blow-out was spent with her fingers throughout my hair with strands flying everywhere. This blowout was faster than my own. I thought, maybe she'll go over the cut when dry but then unsnapped the black cape and said she was done. I said, "That's it?" and she replied "yep!". I got out of the chair and immediately canceled the next appointment which was the special blowout the day of my son's wedding. I thought, I can do that myself. The cut was pricey and uneven. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

She is easy to talk to, always supportive of whatever hair-related requests I make, and offers honest advice when appropriate. She has never made me feel guilty about my total neglect of my hair (which has happened at other salons). As an added bonus, she always offers to curl my hair at the end, making me feel even more glam. The salon itself is clean and staff is courteous. There's a cute selection of jewelry and accessories for sale that you can browse while you wait. Making an appointment is easy --- you can request times you want online, and they'll confirm with you via email or phone. This time, despite a relatively restrictive schedule, they were able to find me an evening appointment with my preferred stylist within 1 week of my request. Prices have always been reasonable as well. Definitely planning to return on a regular basis and would highly recommend Salon 926 and Tiana to all!

TLDR: Pete is a fantastic barber and if you've been striking out in West Chester looking for the best barber then you should go see him. Experience: It took me less than 2 minutes to book an appointment online via their website and they had several spots available after 6PM which was very helpful. Pete has tremendous attention to detail and he's extremely experienced with clippers, fading, etc. He nailed the style that I was looking for. Pete takes his craft seriously and delivers with a very easy-going demeanor. Between Pete being great, the fast turn around, and the whole thing only costing $25 + tip, The Refinery secured my business for life. I'll also add that the location itself is nice and located across the street from the courthouse parking garage which is super convenient for people who want to park in town for free.

I had booked Alexa/Salon Rose for my wedding hair and makeup back in March and was told that everything was set for my wedding day which is in September. With only three months left until my wedding, I received a message informing me that she would no longer be able to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party because she was concerned that our schedules would not align. This was despite the fact that my wedding date had been established and she confirmed her availability and I had been relying on her commitment. I had also already completed my bridal hair trial with her, costing $228, which I would not have booked and spent money on had I known that the wedding booking would not be fulfilled. Having to replace a wedding professional on short notice created a great deal of unnecessary stress during an already busy time. I understand that emergencies happen, but this was not an emergency situation. Being cancelled on three months before your wedding for non-emergency scheduling concerns is not something I would expect from a professional. Brides invest a lot of trust in the vendors they hire. If reliability and follow-through are important to you, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about cancellation policies and commitment before booking. I wish Alexa the best, but I was deeply disappointed by how this situation was handled.

At the beginning of this year, I went a little insane with trying to color my hair several unnatural shades, including purple. She did her best to maintain the health of my hair, while trying to achieve the color I wanted. Once, when my hair wasn't the exact shade of purple I'd asked for, she didn't even ask for any payment, she just let me come back again a week later to try the color once more. She's sooo friendly, and such a sweetheart. I'm going to miss her when I move! The price is a little high, but it's worth it to me. A word of warning: I had my hair cut by one other person, who I believe is the only man working there. He completely BUTCHERED my hair! I was so upset! But luckily, Jacki fixed it for me, for free, even though it wasn't her fault. Again, I love her.
