It was just all around clearly good at handling my hair. I have found some hair stylists did struggle with my thicker South Asian hair but she was good. Clearly has the experience. Also apparently she does make-up too. PRICE: for my haircut and blowout was $60 without the tip. The tips must be paid in cash I believe. PARKING: behind the building. And on Saturdays this place is very close to the Bel Air Farmer's market. Just saying you can get some nice flowers and a great cut together. So overall, I would really recommend this place. Paid, $650 for full highlight, 1 row install of bead extension (I supplied my own hair - they use Belliami hair which is awful hair - dont be sold on that crap). I walked in platinum blonde, with 10 weeks root growout, wanting to add dimension, blend extention hair and address under processed areas from previous stylist. Simple, nothing uncommon. 6+ hours later, I end up with a blended ashy dull blonde, dark unfoiled spots and extensions sewn in lopsided - opposite of what I requested or paid for. Reached out to request fix and given the run-around and told it would be an additional $175 to add additional highlights for dimenion and the unfoiled dark areas which a full foil of $385 should have acheived at inital time of service, not to mention the multible toners used. What I requested never changed from in-person consult, from shared pictures and day of service. My hair was healthy and hadnt been processed in 10 weeks, I was already very blonde (the hard part was already done) and during the appointment they tell you, you need metal detox, and k18 treatments for chemical services however when requested a fix a few days later Im told they didnt want to compromise the hair and that we will work up too my desired look but if Im willing to pay an additional $175 - we can schedule you this week- total foolishness. Who pays $650 with the intention of working towards something when I walked in 80% already there. You pay for time not services, and its a money grab. Morgan was pleasant however the poor customer service, pushback to correct and request to pay more are unprofessional practices. Save yourself the headache and your money - this salon is exteremly overpriced for amateur expertise. Total money grab and no recoarse. I dont want a salon credit, I requested a fix and that wasnt doable without paying more so how about a refund. I will post

I was very hopeful coming to this salon because of the 4.8 rating on Google, and came in today for a major disappointment. I've gotten this cut for a while and I've never had any issues. The first clue that I should have noted was that they didn't use any products at all in my hair before blow drying like heat protection or any kind of spray, which every salon I've been to has done before. Also when I gave them my photo of the cut I always get they said I would look too mature and I should try something more "fashionable". I also asked for face framing layers and showed them the long curtain bangs I wanted and I ended up with short straight across bangs. I asked specifically not to have bangs as well. He said he misunderstood, and tried to fix the issue but I still ended with short bangs straight across that barley fed into the other pieces. Also they asked if I wanted to thin my hair and I said no but he used thinning sheers around my whole head. I tried washing and styling my hair the way I regularly do but it looks choppy and frizzy and not at all like I showed them. Very disappointed and will be getting it fixed someplace else. I wish I had walked out before he had cut my bangs but unfortunately it's too late. read more

I came in to accompany someone who was getting their hair done here and while waiting I decided to get a perm because I had been talking about it for a while. So I took the opportunity and said why not I'm already here. In the end I could not be happier with the results and I absolutely love my new haircut/style. The staff which is a husband and wife duo could not be nicer and they made you feel very comfortable and welcomed. Honestly will be coming back to get my next haircut here. I was the only one at the salon and had a very enlightening and entertaining conversation with Jeff in Mandarin while he meticulously and skillfully cut my hair. I told him I wanted to cut my hair shoulder length, but he pointed at that it might curl outward so afterward he curled my hair too! I have gotten 2 magic sleek treatments, both amazing. I have naturally very curly and frizzy hair that I bleached around a year ago. The bleach really damaged my hair but JF hair studio really took their time with the treatments and has transformed my hair. Lee does absolutely amazing men's haircuts for great pricing! Bring photo for reference as they are not fluent in english or Spanish but they definitely try their best! Highly highly recommend!
