The manager, Ali, kindly informed me that a balayage and an ombre are the same thing. Silly me. When I tried to schedule a private time to meet with the owner, Lori, I was ignored for months, and ultimately dismissed. I even sent an email from another address and got an instant response, proving they were indeed ignoring me and not temporarily unavailable.It's clear that Lori (the owner) doesn't care about new customers and is content with just her current ones. Getting that from other reviews now too. Crazy thing is, I would see my stylist again honestly, if she worked elsewhere. I don't think they even told her I wanted to come back in. She probably would've been able to fix it easily because I know she's seasoned and talented. She will remain unnamed. I can forgive a mistake that made my hair so uneven and try again with a stylist, but I can't forgive Lori's lack of compassion and humanity. It's been three months. I tried to be professional and respectful, tried for months to speak privately to not cause a disruption. I don't ever do this - I'm not an internet troll just hiding behind a screen posting bad reviews instead of talking like an adult. I'm just tired. I'm so tired of this. It's been too long and they just can't do this to people. How can you run a business like this? Another salon fixed my hair, for free. Just think about that for a second. It was that bad. I asked for a long layered V cut in the back but the haircut looked like a U and it was extremely choppy. Never once did she show me the back or asked if I liked it. I was being gaslighted by the other hairstylists as if it was an amazing job. It was my fault that I was being nice about it but it turns out she was extremely inexperienced and most likely did not have a hair license. The other employees were joking about a cosmetology inspection and Julia having to go back to being a shampoo girl. Next was the hair dye, and I wanted gray dye with shadow roots. I totally understood if she could not do it and I communicated that, but she said it was okay but it would be a 2 day process because I have some red dyes. (The red dyes were not bright, it was more burgundy by the way) I went along with it because she was supposed to be the professional. After the 5-hour ordeal, the hair color ended up being dark brown/gray but it faded into a light blonde somehow. I called back to request a different hair stylist/colorist and to voice my concerns but the person dismissed my issues and said I could come in on my preferred day. Then, immediately HUNG UP ON ME. Wow! Not once did she ask what was wrong. What kind of place are they running? Anyone who is interested in this place, please do your due diligence and research your hairstylist and/or colorist. It seems as though they are throwing just anyone at the station and I felt completely taken advantage of as a person of color who has long, thick hair.
