I've been coming to this location for years as it's near to my parents home and can say in full confidence that what this location lacks in organization and staffing is far from made up for by the staff located in house. I don't recall a time in the past 10+ years in which I haven't left feeling frustrated. Do not bother utilizing the online check-in feature as the staff does not adhere to it. I found my estimated time to be ready to be listed at 40 minutes, only to increase gradually until it read that it would be ready 120+ minutes from now a mere 25 minutes later. When I arrived to investigate what was happening it became very apparent that the staff only cared if you were in store and you could not move up the queue from the online check-in in. After about 50 minutes total waiting, I recognized that I would still likely be an hour away, and happily took my business elsewhere. read more

Ok... I have been going here for years on and off. Normally it's an ok haircut at a decent price. I don't pay much here, so I don't expect much. When I want a new style I normally go elsewhere... when I need that style trimmed up I come here. That said, I went in two weeks ago, and Deb was the one who cut my hair. I decided to try to get a "new style" something much shorter. I didn't know what I wanted, but I explained to Deb how I want to wear it when I'm working. I'm an artist, and when I paint, I like to have it up certain ways so it's not in my face. Well after me explaining that and Deb asking a bunch of questions, she cut my hair. I liked the way it looked... but I always wait to review... to see if I like it still within a couple weeks. Deb did an outstanding job. I love this style which she choose perfectly to fit my life style. I'm gonna keep going back as long as Deb is there! Amazing job! I'm very happy. read more

BEWARE! Great Clips has issues with scheduling customers! You *think* you are a waiting list by using their app? THINK AGAIN! The app rarely works correctly - so I showed-up IN PERSON and asked to be put on the waiting list. The dark-hair endomorph at the desk told me "It will be about 35 minutes" - to which I replied "I have to pick some stuff up across the parking lot - it's 4:25pm now...I'll be back before 5pm. The person at the front desk said "OK". SO being a man of my word I returned at 4:52pm - to which Wisconsin's answer to JB Pritzker told me - "we had three more people that showed-up". To which I replied "what? I am on the list and you told me that it was just fine if I went to pick my stuff up across the parking lot YOU TOLD ME 35 MINUTES AND I WAS BACK IN 30!!!!!! She said she was sorry, but "couldn't do anything about it". This was the Delevan store, the Crystal Lake store isn't any better. Went to Ketchpaw's barbershop in Elkhorn - nice haircut, roughly the same price AND NO SCHEDULING BULLSHIT! read more

Didn't section off my hair for one length hair cut. There were uneven pieces hanging. Seriously, fine hair or not, you need to section the hair off, let small sections down so you can get ALL the hair. How are these people trained?? read more
