For being in my (teeny tiny) hometown, this place is amazing. They have a myriad of services and from what have personally experienced are talented at all of them. I had a haircut here last fall by Julie, and she was fabulous. You know when you walk into a hair salon and size up the person who's about to cut your hair? If they have winged bangs or a poodle perm, you want to scream and run out the door but you sit down in their chair anyway... and know you're in trouble. This girl had the chicest hair I've ever seen this side of the Mississippi and an attitude to match. I knew I was in good hands. I didn't have a picture to show her, but my hair came out EXACTLY the way I'd envisioned it in my head. Perfect. I got so many compliments that day.... *sigh. I also had a manicure here and the woman who did it was great. I wished I had time to get a pedicure before I moved to Cali because their footbaths and cushy seats looked heavenly.

I went for a facial in July and it was the best facial that I have ever gotten. I would definitely recommend this spot to anybody!

Additionally, there are no hotel guest benefits or discounts to use the spa. Many spas offer little snacks or champagne complimentary, none of that, which is ok. However, the self serve drink area wasn't the cleanest, there was a lack of towels. The salt room was ok, the sauna and steam room were nice. When I came here years ago there was a hot tub in the women's locker room, that is now gone and nothing replaced it. The hot tub was nice, but way too many people in it at once. The pool desperately needed to be refinished, and repainted. The pool itself was nice but there were chunks of the floor that needed to be redone. We weren't even given a tour by the front desk lady. The showers had no water pressure or hot water. Overall it was not worth a $170 in my opinion. I've gotten better and longer massages at no frills spas for much less.

The perks you get out of it are that you're surrounded by adults. Our time in the pool / Spa was that it was fairly quiet for what it was. They do have food by the way that will come to you for a nominal fee. We enjoyed that there is a sauna and a steam room too which were pretty much empty. I was not a fan of the showers good clean myself off with all the chlorine because the hot water was very minimal. The Salt Room is a overrated place and not worth anyone's time. Regardless of what people think, I would say that this is truly a $30 perk to charge not $50. They have an outdoor area but it's just a place to sunbathe and get a tan hoping you don't get sunburned.

The downstairs is the spa and they take the idea of calm very seriously. It was very comfortable and dim. They give you robes and very awkward sandals that cut your feet, but I appreciate the thought. Massage: It was honestly one of the best massages I've had in a long time. I could hear some noise through the walls that disturbed my serenity, but that wasn't the masseuses fault. Pedicure: I'm used to a little more time on the front end of the pedi - you know scrubs and rubs and soaks and things, but it wasn't bad. I was super doubtful of the polish job, but I stand corrected two weeks later and not a chip from the regular polish. They offer to let you keep your scrubber as is status quo these days. Changing Area: Big fan. The locker area is smallish, but it's just what it needs to be. It could do with a table or stool or something to set things on temporarily. Then there's a small seating area, shower area, toilets, and THE STEAM ROOM. The showers were great - I could have stayed in that multi-headed shower of goodness for a long long time. The steam room was great. I have absolutely no experience from whence to draw conclusions from but it was steamy and dark and made me feel as though all the toxins I had worked up the night before were leaving my body. Staff: All super friendly. What I did find odd was that the staff all seemed to do many jobs - a masseuse and a nail tech also both did hair. It's certainly possibly they have well-rounded certifications, but it was strange to me. The downstairs greeter woman did a good job showing everyone where to find lotion, mouthwash, and razors, among other things. What was lacking was more direction on where to be and how to do things. Overall....I enjoyed it very much. There were small details that I would notice were off from a high end professional spa, but they didn't deter me. It's trying very very hard to be great and it's almost there. The devil is always in the details.

She never put a headband on my head and instead of removing the exfoliating material off my face she rubbed it into my hair. This I only noticed after the facial was over. No proper facial massage. She just kept applying different creams to my face and wiping at them. Waste of money.

The hot tub water was brown, and the wood on the outside of the sauna was withering away with mold present. The lockers were dated and damaged. The robes were in very rough shape. When we arrived we were taken for a "tour" only to be left in the locker room, it wasn't until 30 minutes in, after just standing around, we learned there was a lounge and relaxation room. There was no convenient way to access this room. We were taken to it through doors labeled "staff only" The massage itself was severely underwhelming. She basically rubbed lotion on me for 50 minutes, there was no skill or technique to the massage. Overall, it was just a very disappointing experience. I will never return or recommend this spa

I'm basing this review on things that I know would not change whether the experience was complementary or not, like the atmosphere, products offered and used. One thing to remember if you're going there for the first time - Pay attention when driving there. Regency Court is right off of Bluemound, but doesn't really look like a street; more like a parking lot entrance? Not a big deal, just knowing helps when following the gps. I had to turn around cuz I missed it. The building looks more like a condo/aparment building from the outside, but once you go in, it was gorgeous. Very nicely designed and elegantly decorated. My therapist was Alyssa, and she greeted me, very friendly. I was offered a drink - water, tea, coffee - which I didn't need, so we went right in. I loved walking through the inside; it's so pretty! And I didn't have to use it, but their bathrooms also looked so clean. Alyssa also gave me a bottle of water after the session, which I did need. All the products they used were Dermalogica, which coincidentally is the brand I am using presently. They even had the higher end of the line products. I love it when a salon doesn't skimp out on the products. I've been to places where they use very generic products, and though the facial is good, you know your facial isn't really top notch because the product that stays in your face wasn't great. The spa has been open for a year and has all the signs of staying around for a long time!
