I've been getting my hair cut here for years and never really had any issues, probably bc I always went to Lynette, but I am very disappointed with my recent "trim". A couple of days ago, I went in to get a trim, I let someone else do it, regrettably. She had blonde hair and a thick accent. I've been growing my hair for a few years now with regular trims. I told her I just wanted a trim, no more than two inches. This lady cut 5-6 inches off my hair and the next morning, I noticed a long strip of hair that she missed and was longer than the rest, that I had to cut myself to make it even. I don't know where she learned to follow directions or cut hair, but she didn't do either one very well. read more

I had been trying to get into a salon, ANY SALON, for days and finally I just walked into this Great Clips. I gave myself a nice little summer bob in my bathroom and it was fine but definitely uneven. Kaitlin had me in her chair in less than 30 minutes and my haircut was probably done in 10 minutes. I paid $24 to include my $5 tip. The best part for me was I didn't really have to chit chat, which may sound odd but I was so tired I really didn't have it in me. At a normal salon it's like an hour of small talk minimum and while I'm sure the staff at Great Clips are wonderful conversationalists I wasn't forced to give my whole life story and I loved it. Do yall hire blind barbers? Why is it that every time I go here, ask for something not hard at all such as just a little trim up on the sides and a bit off of a certain spot on the top, they still manage to mess something up EVERY SINGLE TIME. I came in wanting around 6+ inches cut off and a little layering, just something fresh because I hadn't had a haircut in well over a year. Brittane was my stylist and she really listened to what I was wanting. She asked questions to make sure she understood my vision and did the damn thing! She was confident with every move she made, she made sure I didn't have any tails or unevenness and that I was happy before I got up. I'll definitely go back to see her! read more

Had my first visit to Great Clips' Malia Jones today and she did an outstanding job. I went from a longish bob to a Twiggy super short cut. I LOVE IT AND STYLIST MALIA! In addition to being an extremely competent stylist she is full of personality and loves her trade. Graciousness abounds as does appreciation for her mentors. Checked in online......arrive only to be told that I was taken off the list because it had been more than 90 minutes (which it had not). So I was checked in again and told it would be 41 minutes. When I pulled up the text verification to show that it was in fact less than an hour ago.... not 90 minutes, then the story changed.....that rule doesn't apply if the wait time is less than an hour. Lady said they called and called, which they absolutely did not, before removing my child from the list. TERRIBLE customer service. read more

I'm really upset with the lady who cut my daughters hair. She was not professional in my book. She kept looking around the room watching other employees, leaving us to go do something. In which I some what understand if she is the manager on duty. What I can not understand is how my daughters hair turned out. My daughter has curly hair and I asked the older lady to cut in an u shape so it's no straight across. Once we got home I thought to myself that there were a few pieces longer then others but no one else really agreed so I went on. Well a couple of days later when I straightened her hair I noticed there were some pieces longer then others. I'm completely unhappy. Her hair looks horrible. So glad I found this place. Use the great clip in Lexington and they sent me a coupon. So Wanted to try one out closer to home. The Elizabethtown location I believe is pretty new maybe under one year. Everything was very clean. The staff was very quick and thorough to get us checked in. My Sons hair looked so much better when he left. They even trimmed up his beard. Just hoping I could get him in every six weeks for another cut to keep them looking good. read more

I have been here twice now, the first time Frankie helped me and she did a great job on my hair. I have very very fine thin hair and for the first time in my life someone was actually able to cut my hair so it looks like I have some! So when I went back in I requested her again and again she didn't disappoint! And even though i had only seen her once before about 6 weeks earlier she remembered me! Other than my best friend who is a hair dresser and lives in las vegas I haven't gone back to a shop asking for the same person, so now that I found someone who can really cut my hair, I will keep going back!
