I was told they are not taking any more customers at 20 minutes before they close. The excuse that was given was I have a flight in the morning that I have to catch. That makes no sense to me. FYI don't bother unless you're at least an hour before they close. Maybe they should turn their sign off if they're not taking customers. read more

Honestly annoyed, their hours are apparently shorter than advertised because of staffing issues & they "can't fix it" according to the person who came to the locked door (with their printer paper temporary hours taped to the door). However, I CHECKED IN ONLINE WITH MY CELL # ALMOST 60 MINUTES PRIOR w/ an 85 minute wait time. Why couldn't they call & tell me that they wouldn't be able to service me? Isn't that the point of check-in? After returning to my vehicle I noticed that their check-in was turned off which means they had access to it & she lied to my face at the door. Glad we didn't have the opportunity to go here, with this poor customer service I can only imagine they butcher your hair. read more

My family deals with the most unthinkable scenario possible in life. An 11 year old with stage 4 cancer. A beautiful little girl that has received awards from her school for her compassion for other students. This award was presented by the Optimas Club. So she demonstrates the ability to care for others despite the situation she endures daily. Long story short...contacted great clip around 6:45 pm on Friday Oct 7th just as my daughter received a wig secondary to hair loss because of cancer. She put it on and was very disappointed as it appeared to be to thick for such a tiny face. Great clips was the first hair salon to view on the website within the Hartland Mi area. Spoke with a young lady/stylist and ask politely if there was any one there that could thin out her wig. The response was " its against our policy" there is nothing we can do. I asked if I could speak to someone that might have a referral number in hopes to gain some satisfaction and possibly put a smile on my only child's face through this crisis. The young lady rudely stated. Its against policy... No manager to talk to and was abrupt in getting off the phone. I then contacted Fanstatic SMS. It was also against Policy but they were so super nice. Told us to come down and they would take a look to see if the hair was real or synthetic. Sent my daughter with her mom and grandmother to the business near BlackRock restaurant in Hartland. I'm very dissapointed at this point as I cannot recall the stylist name. Please accept my apology if you ever read this review. She was awesome as verbalized by my daughter. In ending this review on this note...Hartland is a very small caring community. Thank you Fantastic Sams for caring...for listening and taking the time to demonstrate a high level of compassion and customer service in a situation that enlightened my entire family. My daughter smiled all night. Contacted her friends with photos of her hair. In closing...all it takes is for some one in the local business to show you care about the people in your community. You get paid on customer satistifaction...compassion about your community...policy in a situation of this magnitude is the last resort. Whomever the young lady/stylist I spoke with. Grow a heart. Never quick to get a haircut, even if you check in online. Quality is inconsistent. There is a gentleman that does the hair that I recommend. He's very good and thorough and makes sure you get the results you want. Other stylists tend to rush through to get to the next appointment read more

Had a very positive, professional, pleasant haircut experience with stylist Samma (Samantha) this morning. What stood out was her attention and focus on achieving a great result. Many like to chat (which is fine), but Samma was both cordial and concentrated on her work which was evident. Thank you, and I'll be back. Absolutely horrible experience, I have hair loss issues, and cover my head with a wig, I had a few questions, so my dad called and asked " do you guys work at all with wigs?" And the lady completely cut him off and says " ummmmmmm, no" like he was some crazy person and got really mad at him just for asking, and she got in a really nasty attitude, but way before that, I was there and the waiting time was long and they rushed of my hair making me look like a troll ( like really, my hair was stuck straight up in the air!) so please consider re searching really hard before going to a salon :) read more
