Do NOT let Robin touch your hair unless you are a man. I've had the serious misfortune of ending up in her chair at least half a dozen times over the years. Not once has she ever listened to what I wanted. She ALWAYS tries to (sometimes succeeds at) change my mind on what I want. Usually she wants me to go super short (like man short)... and I think it's because she only knows how to cut short hair. I've received a lopsided bob, uneven ends and, last night she refused to give me layers. I had hair to the middle of my back, asked for a trim, and she lopped off 6 inches with a pair of clippers before she even had it parted. In fact, she never asked me where I keep my part and made a comment about how I always wear my hair up, anyway. Uh, she doesn't know me personally. I wear my hair down more often than not. I spent a total of 2 minutes or less (no exaggeration) in her chair, and, when she wasn't refusing to do what I wanted, or making wrong assumptions about me, she was gossiping horribly about her employees. I felt dismissed, not listened to, largely ignored, and, needless to say, dismayed. I had stopped going there a couple of years back, and went to Casey Driemeyer at Tru Design. It was more expensive, but worth it to have someone who'll listen and treat you with some fricking respect. I'm never going back to Great Clips. And, if for some weird reason I end up back there, Robin WILL NEVER TOUCH A HAIR ON MY HEAD AGAIN!!! If you go here, and you're not a man, DO NOT let this woman anywhere near you. The worst Great Clips in the chain! I had a perm here and my hair broke off and continues to do so. They overprocessed my hair out of total incompetence--who doesn't set a timer when doing a CHEMICAL service? My hair looks and feels like frizzy straw because of their total incompetence and I'd never come here again, but at least hair grows out. Eventually. Sadly the shaved Q-tip look isn't what I was going for. read more

The other 2 reviews seemed pretty unfair so I decided to act. I have gotten my hair cut here since about 2003. Pretty much the same way every time. This location has been nothing if not consistent. What I get today, I get tomorrow. For a $15 haircut or whatever it costs, I'm not sure what else you could ask for. I've traveled far and wide for work and had to get haircuts at many other places, but have yet to find anyone to do better as far as service is concerned. Not that I was looking but sometimes you just have to. My only negative criticism is that there isn't a lot of room to wait up front, and there isn't even a TV with the news scrolling. I don't mind getting away from the news but I would like to be able to catch weather or turn on some cartoons for the kids. If they tripled the size of the waiting area and added a TV I'd be happy but I don't foresee that happening due to the building they're in. Overall nice people, who do a satisfying job every visit and it doesn't cost a fortune. What more do you really want? read more
