I've been to Great Clips in Westridge a few times, and while 2 of my 3 visits were great, this last one was bad enough that I will never come back. I showed up on time for my appointment and was greeted by an incredibly rude stylist who clearly had no interest in listening to me. She checked her phone while I was explaining what I wanted, refused to give me the haircut I requested, and talked down to me the entire time. I left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and completely unwelcome. One bad employee can ruin a business, and that was absolutely the case here. read more

The great clips and Wayzata that in Minnesota. He was so excited to get a hair cut. Work for 6 year to be completely comfortable with hair cut The worst this ever happened. Taking a vantage of a my brother (autistic and non-verbal) they did not ask him or showed photos. He a his iPad out with the photo that he pick out. Nope they just took the razor and shaved his head. I have never seen my big brother who is soo strong and brave. Be shaking and crying. It took six years to get comfortable for a haircut six years wasted. That was the first of a haircut he got he is now traumatised and refuses to have anybody touches his head. He just wanted to be like our oldest brother. He look up to him and want to have the same haircut. So no one could tell them apart This is just absolutely disgusting that they take advantage of people like my brother. He is my best friend. I love him he has the best smile ever love make new friends. But now he's too scared to go out. We try to tell him he look like iron man ( favourite superhero). But nothing. He now hate everything touching him head. This is absolutely disgusting that people would do that. read more

Yikes! I've been bouncing around at different hair cut places and thought I'd try this Great Clips ...in West Ridge as I recall...over by Trader Joe's. For awhile, I had been paying ridiculous amounts of money for a simple haircut. But I found my new go-to hair cut person, Karla, at Great Clips and will continue to go back. Thank you, Karla. Great Clips has a reservation system online, so you select the location and can line up your spot ahead of time. I don't get the rare civit shampoo, and multicolored mullet with a chimpanzee picture cut into my hair, so I don't know how well they'd do that. But, if you're kinda normal and want a good haircut you now know where to go. LEAVE A DECENT TIP, OK? Not some 10-15% thing. These people are on their feet all day working hard. I forgot to mention they keep good records so when you come back they will know just what to do. read more

I haven't been to a Great Clips in at least 10 years but needed a last minute haircut and stopped by this location. I was blessed to have Marcia as my hairdresser and she was fabulous! So sweet, quick, and did exactly what I was looking for. The online waitlist was great as I could put my name on the list from home and see how many minutes until I could be seen by someone (it was only a 20 minute wait). I made appointment with Suzette, but she was about to leave and her Colleague picked me up. I asked for the shortest haircut, and I got it. Even though I was expected s shaved hair, but the lady was already in shock I wanted to cut my rich thick hair so short. I expected asking for a shaved hair would shock the hair stylist :-) By the way, Yelp, what happened to my last five stars review for this place? The hairstylist was so rude to my daughter. She told her it looked like she hadn't brushed her hair in days, and told me she couldn't brush and handed me the comb! I asked if she had detangler and she said it won't help anyway. Then my daughter said she wants to grow her hair out and the woman said she shouldn't since she doesn't take care of her hair. My daughter left feeling hurt. Never again. read more

Same experience as reviewing in July'22 where the hairstylist was rude to my daughter talking about hair not being brushed at home. They offered to either charge for 2 haircuts or coming back with brushed hair. read more

I wanted to give this place a few try's before I gave it an honest review, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I've been here 3 times now and have had 3 great experiences. It's worthy of a 5 star rating, which I don't think I've ever given for any "hair cut chain". Also, I'm a tough critic as I have a beard that needs trimming and fading, and they've always done a great job with my beard (a lot of places don't). Give them try. read more

I love this place! It is the only place I have gone since I moved to the area. Most every employee has cut my hair, and everyone is consistently good. It gets a little busy sometimes, but if there's a wait I just go pick up some groceries at Trader Joe's! It's always nice to land in Sai's chair. She remembers me and she is always energetic and positive. Plus she gives a great shoulder rub! Haircuts are something like $14.99, and there are coupons everywhere. There's usually a $9.99 coupon in the junk mail or there's always a $4 off coupon on the back of a Cub or Rainbow receipt. Hey, never hurts to save a little money. read more

I HATE this place!!!! I have really long hair. I came in looking to have my layers freshened up and to add some more texture and framing around the face and a good blow out. The stylist "Debra" start cutting my hair DRY! She did not section the hair in any way she just took scissors to it. When she's done hacking away, I look down and see that there is hardly any hair on the ground. Umm.... did she even do anything? Whatever... at least she didn't take too much off so i can potential get it fixed. Then she takes me to get a shampoo. Once back at the chair she pulls out this skinny little round brush. Umm, my hair is super long... my round brush at home is 2.5 inches in diameter. I let her know that the brush she going to use will not work and will just get tangled in my hair because it's too small. She says that "it's all she has and it will just have to do." Are you not a salon? Do you not advertise haircuts? How do you not have a round brush?! Fine, whatever... i let her keep going.. Then, she asks if i ever use any product on my hair. i say no.... You'd think that my answering "No" would let her know that I don't want a bunch a gunk in my hair. Apparently not case. She begins to cake on this mousse stuff and i can already feel my hair getting all gross and flaky and of course, getting stuck in the round brush!!! THAT'S IT!!! I immediately tell her to stop what she is doing because I am leaving. I was literally on the verge of an anxiety attack. I got up paid the 15.00 for the crappy cut and nonexistent style and left. This place may be ok for guys with short hair or you are looking for a straight across cut but you definitely get what you pay for. I AM NEVER EVER coming back here again. read more

I've been getting my hair cut here for over a year. Recently, they've hired someone who does not do a good job and just looks as if she doesn't want to work there. I had a very bad hair cut, and that's putting it nicely. I don't mind her tattoos, piercings, and appearance, however her apathetic service and overall experience is what is making me write this and find another hair salon. read more

I've had my hair cut by every person at this salon and I love them all! Not the normal Great Clips experience at all -- a very warm and fun salon. I usually see Becky or Sai if I stop by during the day. They are both so fun and always keep it interesting. If i stop by at night I love seeing Chris he is a master barber and I would send any guy looking for a perfect haircut to him but he is great with womens hair as well. I take all my neices and nephews to see Sonja. She specializes in kids cuts and seems to have the special touch with them. read more

Called ahead of time and they stated its first come first serve mam. You just need to come in. So I arrived, and the first thing the woman said is did you check in on-line? I responded no. She then said there's an hour and 15 minute wait; its the busiest day or the year you should have checked in on-line. Calling head, this information would have been important. Excellent place to cut hair. I have lived in the area for two year going on third and I never cut my hair at any other place. I only get my hair cuts from Alicia she I don't even need to tell her what to do she remembers everything and if we do any change she put a note on the computer so just in case if she is on vacation it will come in handy. Couple of times it came in handy. But I always try to get my hair cuts from Alicia. read more

This place was great. Chad cut my hair and he was very knowledgable about hair and more importantly focused on the type of hair I have. He treated my hair like an individual rather than the same as everyone else's, and made suggestions based on the type of hair it is and what would help it look its best. He knew a lot of tips for hair care and style tricks, too. It was very refreshing to get such personalized serivce and for such a good deal! I will definately be going back here! read more
