I made it very clear that the front length just below my jawline was exactly where I wanted it and was not to be touched. I also told Jazz that I've been cutting my own hair for 28 years and only visit a salon occasionally for minimal cleanup. I showed her pictures of the exact LOB shape I wanted to keep, and she said she understood. Unfortunately, she ignored everything I said. Even though I explained that my curly hair is often easier to cut dry, she insisted on shampooing and cutting it wet. She then turned my chair away from the mirror, and when I asked to watch, she told me she had to keep me faced away "because of the way she uses her arm" to cut hair--something no professional should require. Instead of lightly shaping the back, she gave me an entirely different haircut. My LOB is gone. The front is now shorter than the back--the exact opposite of what I asked for--and there are notches cut into the sides that resemble a mullet. My hair looked better walking in than it did walking out. As I was leaving, I noticed her next client was an elderly woman. It made me realize that Jazz may be used to clients who simply accept whatever the stylist decides is "best" for them, rather than someone who gives clear direction. That feeling was reinforced when she handed me a card and told me to "come back in May," despite my telling her I rarely come in and only wanted a minor trim. I'm now stuck with a cut I hate and am embarrassed by. I will never return. This felt like a complete disregard for everything I communicated and a breach of trust from start to finish.

Which is DEFINITELY NOT what she ended up getting! To remove the prior nails she didn't use then proper removal method to remove them. She removed them with nail clippers instead of acetone and in the process she clipped my daughter skin and made her bleed! My daughter asked for a brown paint coffin style with gems! She walked out with nails that look like a 3yr old did them. When she went to pay, the technician didn't even know how to work the register and had to use My Daughters phone to face time another employee to be able to ring her up!! When she got home the nail job was so crappy that the gem fell off in less than 3hrs and the paint smeared off as well and it looked nothing like the picture she asked for! She went in the next day to get a refund and they refused her refund and said they would redo the job. No where on the store door or shop doors does it state NO REFUNDS! Why would I let anyone else in that salon touch my child after the first job and the horrible customer service I received? I DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon and if I could I would give a negative star. At check out the cost was only $25.00 for a women's wash, cut and style!! Next day, I brought my son back who had no idea what he wanted. Tessie took the time to show him some pics on her phone, he picked one and she did a wonderful job on his over long hair, giving him a new style, that actually made him smile from ear to ear! This time the cost for a men's cut was just $15.00! The staff was so pleasant, there was plenty of parking, easy for an out of towner to find. I'm so glad we took a chance on Nida's! The other employees were also doing hair the whole time. All the people getting their hair done (male and female) looked great. I plan to bring my son to this shop for as long as he wants to keep his hair braided and I will highly recommend it to anyone that needs this service. On her social media, all she has is style seat info so i booked through that app. There were no additional instructions so i figured i was good to go. If you aren't going to honor style seat appointments then why have the app? And why promote booking through the app...Unacceptable. I have still not received a message / call with an explanation and i drove 30 min from Hampton to come to the appointment. Not attempting to work with this tech again.
