Didn't have an appointment but they took me nearly right away. Really quick work, and it looks good. Can't beat the price, just $15! It is clean and bright inside, and they have lots of stylists working. The parking lot is large so that's not an issue. All in all, this is a good spot to get an inexpensive haircut. read more

I have one word: ALMOND. Several years ago, at a different salon, I met Almond and literally got the best hair cut of my life. She now cuts my entire family's hair. At her previous salon, whenever I would go in, more than half of the customers were waiting for her. I felt bad for the other employees because Almond is AWESOME and the customers always want their hair cut by her. Almond now works at this salon, and so I and my family have followed her there. I went to great clips last night, and this was probably by far the best experience I've ever gotten, my barbers name was Ashley and she was amazing, I was very nervous since I was getting 12 inches cut off and never gone this short before but she made me feel very comfortable and she was confident in herself so I felt I could trust her, she took control and knew exactly how to make my new short look fit well with my face shape, I love my new short look, she knows what's she's doing and is great at her job I highly recommend Ashley! read more

Katty is AMAZING! I have been there a couple of times and she has always done a great job! I only give them 4 stars because the girl next to her (Cindy) really FUCKED up my hair. I HAD long hair...(just above my waist). I went in just to get my layers trimmed and get my hair thinned out. She really messed up my hair, I didn't even notice until the next day I went to work and my co worker noticed short strands of hair and she asked me, if that's how my hair was supposed to be. I checked and I saw that I had VERY short strands...I freaked out! I was very upset. When I went home I checked my hair and it was very uneven she didn't cut the layers right. I didn't go until the next day and I asked for Katty so she can fix it. She asked what happened you were just here the other day. I told her, your co worker fucked up my hair. So she washed my hair & then told me she had to cut more off in order to fix it, so I said, "go ahead do your thing". She did awesome. I just can't wear my hair up in a bun for a while. I have gone to this facility multiple times to give them many chances, but they just continue to disappoint me. It's as if the only cut they know how to do is a trim. They have ruined my hair with their rushed and apathetic will to cut hair. The ladies lack personality, and they are extremely rough with my hair. They are the prodigy of fast food haircuts. Not only can she barely operate as a licensed cosmetologist, her grammar is lacking thereof, she could barely speak with her gap tooth I wasn't sure is she was talking or hissing. They were the only hair cutting place open after 5 on a saturday. the lady's that worked there always have great personality's and there cute too. they cut my daughters hair and her friend to their likeness. Two other women (management?) were standing ally 10 yards away from that chair staring intensely at about 45 degree angles. That put one of them about 2 yards from me. Im giving Greatclips on University Pkwy a one star simply based off my recent experience. I come here often but I need to take perhaps a six month break due to my recent experience. I will return because I know Greatclips hire fresh beauty school students and they stay for a short term until they get enough experience for something better. I usually have had good service but last weekend I received such shameful service I must rant about it. Knowing the store closes at 9:00pm I enter at exactly 8:44pm. There were five people in cue all males which probably takes 15 minutes each. I know they would cut my hair after closing but nothing unreasonable and a service which they have gladly performed in the past. All three stylist were busy but I ended up standing in front of the counter for 7 minutes and nobody bothers to look if a new customer arrived knowing they are still open for business. At 8:51pm they refused service to me because they were closing. They looked like girls who liked to go to clubs which isnt a problem but im sure they just wanted to get out of work and party which i felt was unprofessional. In this economy greatclips cant afford to lose any business. It was bad enough that i was standing there for 7 minutes without even being verbally acknowledge but they could have at least offered me a haircut to compensate for their negligence. I mean i arrived about 18 minutes before closing. The other reason i am mad is because i knew i would not be able to get a haircut until monday because of an engagement and I have a job interview early monday morning and i have to go with unprofessional looking hair. I hope the hiring manager is not turned off by my long hair, god willing i really need this job. There is a chance that i will return here but probably not for at least six month or a year until they turnover their staff. There is other barbers in the area and theres nothing special keeping me at greatclips except its so close to home. And who knows i may find another barber I perfer and bring all my friends to him or her. And if your reading this greatclips I hope you have a talk to all employees ive told some people about my experience, let that be a business 101 lesson. its cheaper to keep a current custmer happy then find new ones read more

I have been a customer at this particular Great Clips since last year. I haven't had a consistent stylist work on my hair but every lady that I have had did a splendid job and they're very friendly. I think it's awkward when the stylist doesn't enjoy basic small talk because I'm an outgoing person and I enjoy talking with people, but every stylist has indulged me (so far) and it makes my visits much more enjoyable. The fact that the stylists remember me by name and even the stories I've shared with them during my visits is really great, very personal. I change the way I want to cut my hair almost every time I visit, and they always understand the direction I want to take, they make awesome recommendations, and it's just overall a productive and satisfying visit every time. read more

My son went there and came home with basically a buzz cut. He had a style when he went in. It was longer on top and shorter on the sides certainly not a buzz cut. I was furious when I saw it. They are sloppy too. Longer in some parts and terrible trimming job around the ears. I probably could have done a better job going out and buying my own trimmer. Awful. read more

At times, it feels as if I've inconvenienced them by coming in. If you know of a good place for a haircut in the area, I'd stick with it.
