Each time I've gone there's the same 3 barbers. And none of them clean up the hair on the ground, so your clients are walking through piles of hair to get to the chair. And under the pool table and all other pieces there is no sweeping or mopping, you can see the piles of dust collecting. Cleanliness is important due to sanitary reasons, they don't seem to take the time on this aspect of business. The hair cut is only ok. Going off from my review of boulevard cuts. Here's my review of Chop and Stach. When you first walk in it's very old school, biker vibe. When we called they said they had one person on the wait list and the girl was nice about it. We told her thank you we're on our way after she told us they closed at 3. When we got there, about 5 minutes after we called, suddenly there was 5 people on the wait list, and that's not counting the people who came in and went straight to a chair. I'm assuming they called previously like we did and made appointments of some sort. The thing that bothered me was while two guys were cutting hair there was 4 other people chilling by the pool table eating food and on there phones for about 30 minutes. I understand if you're waiting for your appointments or clients. But one of them waited there the whole time we were there, which was 1 hour 45 minutes. Yes, almost two hours... that was my second issue. If you aren't doing anything I would have taken one of the 5 guests on the waitlist and get that money, but hey to each your own way of earning. They had one guy cutting all the walk-ins and though we called to say we would be there in five minutes, my fiancé was the last one to go. Which was only a 5-10 minute cut. The barber who cut my fiancé's hair was a cool guy, just quiet. He didn't saw much besides ask what my fiancé needed, asked if it was okay when finished and said pay up front. But hey, still a lot nicer barber and staff and facility than boulevard cuts, in light of this unfortunate pandemic. Wouldn't make it our normal guy just because the barber isn't used to the military required cut my fiancé needs and only one girl there did girls but I over heard her talking she doesn't do them often. read more

This shop has a nice set up, really good music played when I went there. I had my haircut by the female named Kim. She had a good touch. Haircut-$25 Senior Cut-$20 Kid Reg.-$18 Kid Tap/Fade-$20 This shop does offer a military discount, which is what has gotten my eye and attention. It's like $2 discount form my experience but hey that's still pretty cool. They have a little fridge in the back that has drinks for the customers. They had a mini keg fridge near the billiards table which tapped out when i visited before Christmas but hoping that next time i go visit the place for a haircut that it will be filled. I will even bring my own cup if need be. This place does take reservations, just gotta call the shops number and make a reservation with the barber of your choice for that day. read more

This place is outstanding! They are hospitable and authentic. Everyone has a great personality and it really does give that authentic barber shop vibe. Adorned with a pool table, kegerator and barbershop appeal, it's very welcoming. Moe is our guy. They are all good. Good cuts, Nice shaves but the service is terrible.. If you dont have an "appointment" be prepared to wait 1 or 2+ hours. People walk in after you who clearly know the barbers so they dont wait. Might have to head back to Wilson's in Redlands, no walk ins there but at least you get treated with respect and offer you a beverage if you have to wait. Take it back.. ownership is clueless. If they think people dont cut. Almost two hours and saw four people total cut. Ridiculous. I stay because like I said cuts are good and clean but its about treating the customer with respect. So, I went here for the first time today. In the middle of my haircut the owner's husband comes busting in the shop and tells my barber "meet me outside." So my barber leaves in the middle of my haircut. The owner's husband starts yelling at my barber. My barber comes back in and calls someone to come pick him up. The owner's husband then leaves and slams the door. Luckily, my barber finished my haircut. The cut was good, but that is some terrible ownership. To pull your barber in the middle of a haircut and yell at him is crazy. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

Due to the place being different you may find the place overpriced if you compare with other businesses in the area. If you don't mind that, then this is a great place. I recently moved away from the coast and miss my barbershop over there. This place is tucked at the back of the same lot as Wendy's and is not easy to spot from the road. They had their flag thing out on baseline otherwise I never would have seen them from the road. The place looks great, nice atmosphere. Not sure if their pricing is a good fit for impoverished San Bernardino county, but there aren't too many options in the area. My son and I both got cuts and each barber did a great job. I hate to give them a one star the guys are great. it has taken me a little bit to find the words to describe what happened. But I had probably the worst experience at a hair cut place ever since I've been a mom. I went with both my husband and 8 year old son to get their hair cut...my son had been growing his hair out to donate for 2 years and finally had the courage to cut it. A woman stylist sat my son down and asked what I wanted. I showed her exactly how it needs to be cut for "wigs for kids" donation from the picture on the wigs for kids website. She then said "I'm a professional know how to cut it". I sat down and watched her part it in four sections just like the picture. And then the phone rang. She went an answered made appointment on the phone and walked back to my son. And started cutting one by one at the elastic where she had the 4 sections. I watched his beautiful red hair fall to the ground making his hair ineligible for donation. In that moment I had two choices, completely lose my shit and traumatize my already sensitive child for life or keep it calm and cry in the bathroom by myself while she finished making him look like a girl. I'm not sure if she was high(it's Cali no shame unless you can't function on it) or just forgot what she was doing when she answered the phone, but I am still in complete shock that that happened at all. I am reviewing only in hopes that if you ever want to donate you are completely trusting of who is cutting your hair. I should have waited for my husbands regular barber. read more

Drove all the way over here for them to tell me the guy who does walk ins has an apt so no one could cut my sons hair. Employees sitting outside smoking and one watching Pirates of the Caribbean as my son and we're the only ones waiting. We sat for over an hour and half and finally said forget it. This is the only place I'll get my haircut at. I've had a few of the different barbers and every single one of them has made me extremely satisfied. I've been cut by Kim, Thomas, Moe, and a couple other dudes who are placed over in the far corner of the shop (I can't remember their names). I think Ricky is his name and he's cut my hair more than anyone and he's always on point with it. Just a bonus I live down the street and there is usually someone available within minutes. I came in for a inch off the top and a drop fade, guy said he has been cutting hair since a "kid". He didn't fade my sides very much, he also didn't even cut the top a "inch" more like 2 inches, keep in mind that I haven't cut my hair in 3 months prior to this, so he didn't a pretty bad job at making my hair even. So overall it's a 1 Star, I would recommend dream cuts it's close to highland and they actually know how to cut hair read more

I have been going to Chop and Stach since they first opened their doors. My experience there has always been up and down. I always felt that the owner was very rude to customers. Like they couldn't be bothered. BUT.......I went there today and found out Jon is the new owner! Which I think is totally awesome! Jon has been cutting my sons hair for a long time and he always does the best job! If I try to make an appt and he is booked I'll wait just so he cuts my sons hair! The vibe in there is just different now and honestly in a good way! They did a little redecorating and put in a new pool table! It looks really nice!
