Horrible experience. I've spent years growing out my hair and she "chopped and dropped" on both sides -- and NOT even or correctly. I have only agreed to some long layers to help my curls. This was a disaster! And, I thought going to the manager of the store was a good choice. NOT! Should have known when she kept saying, "it will grow out". Yup, that's what I am stuck with -- needing it to grow out and have someone, at some point fix the horrible cut I received. I'm pretty gun shy right now. Do not recommend this salon. My haircut isn't even, she didn't do a good job on shaving the sides of my head at all. She went in with the much smaller razor and butchered it. Never going there again. read more

Excellent and bizarre first experience here with my 3yr-old daughter. We were walk-in clients looking for a kid's haircut, and we still had no wait. My daughter was treated with kindness, and the stylist was very patient. He made sure that I was ok with him taking a lot of length off, and he checked in with me throughout the process. Her hair looks wonderful, and we will definitely be back to work with this stylist. However, the kid's smock used on my daughter was dirty with hair before it was put on her. There was a female stylist next to us that was very annoyed that I was standing next to my daughter during her cut. She kept making it out to be like I was in her way, even though she never asked me to move or even looked me in my eyes. Just kept huffing and sweeping things into my feet. It was bizarre and totally unnecessary. Seems like there is an issue with staff moral and cleanliness. Our stylist was fantastic. read more

Worse haircut ever! May 7, p.m. 2024 Defensive, combative. The trouble with Great Clips is that we have to accept the hairdresser that was next. ..we have no choce. I asked her a simple conversational question and she reacted with a rude, combative reply. I should have gotten out of the chair and left but I didn't and now I wish I had. Checked in online. When I arrived, I still had a short wait ahead of me since a stylist was on break. When stylist returned, I was first up. The stylist skipped me and selected another person. When I pointed out I was supposed to be next, I was told "oh well, sorry. You can be next when I'm finished". I walked out. What's the point of signing in?!? read more

My daughter went for a TRIM on Tuesday and got a lot more than that taken off and it is so crooked it's ridiculous. I'm sure she'll have to have even more cut off to have it fixed. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. read more

My husband and I come in here regularly, we have had our haircut by several of the gals who work here. That said, Jenny (spell) cut mine today, and cut my husband's last time in.... She is not only gracious, professional, and super engaging, but really knows her craft! She did an excellent cut/style for me, and made my appointment a real enjoyable experience. At the top of the 'contact us' webpage it says "BECAUSE WE KNOW YOUR TIME IS IMPORTANT" Well, your stylists certainly didn't think so.  I just got home from getting a haircut at the Santa Fe-San Isidro Plaza location.  I used the online 'check in', I got there a few minutes ahead of the appointed time.  First I waited another 20 minutes while one of your stylists worked on a woman's hair.  Then the woman getting the haircut took a phone call, the stylist stopped working on her and the call took 8 or 9 minutes.  While people (3) were waiting in the store!  When I asked the stylist to remind the woman on the phone that people were waiting, she did nothing, just glared at me like I was the problem.  She said nothing to the customer on the phone. That employee Yeremi has got to be one of the best hair stylists I've been too! She is always available when I need my hair cut and is always nice and respectful to customers who aren't always nice to her! Yeremi always cuts my hair perfectly the way I want it and I never need to get it fixed! Checked in online like I was instructed. Time said 86 minutes. Checked again 5 minutes later time had jumped to 106 minutes. I live a few blocks away so I left with 30 minutes till my appointment. When I got less then a block away it said 17 minutes. When I got to the door I checked again and it had jumped to 38 minutes! I let them know I was there and waited patiently outside for another 40 minutes. Finally at 315 after they had let another gentleman in that had arrived about 5 minutes earlier, I asked what was going on and informed them I had checked in more than 2 hours earlier (just before 1pm) and that I had to be at work (pretty much next door) at 4. I was told that there were still 2 people in front of me and I could "wait if I want" I understand that we are all trying to cope with these crazy situations but this is ridiculous. Don't have an online system if it doesn't work! And why do you lock your door? Isn't that a fire code violation? Get it together. read more

The last 3 times I've checked in online with their app have been a complete waste of time! Two times I walked out, this time I stayed because it's my last. It's taken well over an hour longer than the wait time posted! Waiting for a lousy haircut for this long is not worth it - go someplace else! read more

They could either use the walk-in process or the mandatory scheduler but the hybrid system they are using is absolutely stupid. I arrived at 10 am which is the opening time and logged in. The scheduler said I could expect to have a 35 minute wait. OK, not bad. About 10 minutes later, the scheduler updated my wait to 85 minutes. Wait, what? How could that happen? It counted down to 75 minutes and jumped to 90 minutes. Then it went to N/A. Some people clearly had to be exploiting the system as walk-ins. Finally 2 hours later, I went back and timed it to be there 5 minutes from my appointment. Just as I pulled in, it jumped to 22 minutes. I told the person at the door that I wasn't going to be bumped again. Sure enough, only 20 minutes later I got my haircut. I recommend that you start with the scheduler process then immediately start raising hell at the door and then you will get in right away. Enjoy talking to the morons. read more
