Have returned here twice to get a haircut after making a reservation online thru the app. Sometimes the one at Bishop's Corner is busy sometimes this one is busy. When I came here, this place had a wait for those that made reservations online but when I showed up there were only a few people that were ahead of me. Didn't mind waiting for my haircut as I was done for the day and I was able to catch up on my social media and of course Yelp reviews. There were a few people that popped their heads in to check their spots and then continued shopping in the area but when it came time for them to be called up, there were nowhere to be found so winner winner chicken dinner for me. The women that cut my hair was quick and professional taking the time to review what I have done in the past and asking if there is anything I would like to change. I was content with a short hair cut for the summer weather and she went to town. Took the time afterwards to check my sideburns and the back of my neck after she was done. Couldn't ask for anything better. Was able to use a coupon for a few dollars off and that went right into her tip. Will be back for the professional and friendly staff that get the job done with much fuss or headache that I've seen at other places. read more

So once in a while, I used to run up to Cost Cutters at the Kennedy Drive exit on 91 for a quick haircut. Except today, I learned that Cost Cutters shut down half a year ago, and the space has been taken over by a different chain. So this was my first visit to Great Clips. The space is shiny and new, with ten nice and neat stations. I walked in with no appointment, they had 2 stylists on duty, and I was in my seat within ten minutes. My cut was just $14, the stylist was pleasant, and I walked away satisfied. They have a web app so you can make an appointment on-line and gauge the customer traffic ahead of you. They are located in the Target/Stop and Shop Plaza, near Stop and Shop, more or less between Char Koon and the liquor store. Definitely A-OK in my book. read more

STAY AWAY! I just had to worst experience of my life here. I left crying. The lady that did my hair made it very clear she was in a rush to get it done and boy does it show! I even asked her to fix it and she laughed at me. Not sure why we even discussed what I wanted before hand because it's not even close to what I asked for. She's lucky I paid and lucky I tipped. Talk about a butchered haircut. Both sides of my hair are so uneven it's beyond repair. I have layers on the left side of my face that literally start at my ears! Nothing matches up! Someone professional would never let their clients leave looking like that. She is clearly there just to make money and doesn't give a flying f*** about people. She was ripping my hair out as she was brushing it as fast as she could. If you are under staffed that is YOUR problem, NOT the customer that is paying YOU! Do yourselves a favor and run away from this place. The people that work there are nasty , rude and extremely unprofessional. It's not worth saving a few dollars. Spend your money where people actually care. read more

Jen is excellent. She has cut my hair several times and she recently cut both of my boys hair. She really listens to what you want for your haircut. She got an approval from my teenage son. The store is clean and I love that you can check in before you get there. I usually don't have to wait long at all. I'd highly recommend this shop. read more

Came here a month ago, had a good experience. My son is less than 2 years old, they understood he would not want to sit alone and cut his hair with him sitting in my lap in the chair. Today, two different (and very rude) women were working and could not accommodate us "because of COVID". Did COVID just happen in the last month? The woman did not want to do it...the first thing that came out of her mouth was "I don't cut hair with two people in the chair," but then proceeded to try to tell me that this is a salon-wide rule, which it wasn't less than 30 days ago. I reached out to corporate. They got back to me right away and were very helpful. And if the second part of this story didn't happen I would have let it go and deleted the original review. However... I gave them my mother's name and number and someone from the store where the mistake occurred called her. The employee that called her was very defensive and didn't apologize. Said they will have the refund for the overcharge at the store and of course my mother is now afraid to go get it after the way she was spoken to you on the phone. Mistakes happen. But it seems these days it's hard to find people who accept their responsibility and really care. How hard is it to apologize and treat someone with kindness? read more

I got a really horrible haircut in here on New Year's Eve. I held off on reviewing in the hopes it would lay better after a couple of weeks. Nope. It is very uneven and the layers are poorly done so there is one really heavy layer around my chin and then the rest hits my shoulders. I tried straightening it thinking it would be better but that only makes it more apparent how unevenly it is cut. The two stars are because they generally do a decent job on my gf's hair, the price is reasonable, they can get you in fast and you can check in online. She will continue to go there but they won't be touching my hair again. read more

It's been 12+ yrs since cutting my own hair. I do a damn good job. This week I have a funeral and thought a "professional" would be the better thing. Upon being asked if I had an appointment or a "app check in" I said no and I was asked for phone number. This didn't go well at all, but that's another story. I was walked back to my seat, never once introduced with her name nor was I asked for mine. But, it's 2022 and manors are pretty much out the window now days. I'm the cash and she's the service; I get it. I sit down and tell her how I want it. Her head exploded in front of my eyes, to the point the lady cutting hair next to her asked if she was ok. Here's what was said, Cesar haircut, start with #2, fade to 3 and then 4. A little off the top, no bangs. Her rambling and confusion set the stage, I was F'ed and I knew it. Too the point along the way I said two or three times , In the end it will grow back. I gave up and just wanted out of this chair. So, the sides are to bad, top is way to short and I'm a male ROCKING BANGS @55 yrs old. Super duper! I still don't have a clue who cut my hair nor was there a Thank you at the end when I paid. It ended with a receipt with her saying next cut will be $12.99 (.95) something under $13. Next time ? Not with a 5th of whisky in me would I go back to her/location. You, know sometimes guys want to be pampered to, and tune out all the shit going on in the world and relax. Again, I know I'm Stressed with the loss of a Loved one but with this experience the for mentioned, wasn't even on my mind. Just, unprofessional and subpar skills . I highly recommend finding another salon or go down a few doors over to the groomers; you'd get the same results along with a that a boy ! read more

Like most chain haircut places it is hit or miss. I so go because it is convenient. Sometimes they are great, and sometimes I wonder why I bother to come here. The pre check in is the reason I still go here. I check in when I leave the office and then I'm first in line when I get there. read more

These people are the best! They let me keep the bike in the establishment so I decided what great service I must make a review. Had great conversations during my haircut which looks fantastic. All my request were met very quickly and everyone was the utmost professionals. Fal did my cut so thank you to her. I asked for a low fade tapered which is the hair cut I've been getting since I joined the army in 2009. The women who cut my hair buzzed the whole side off and gave me a high fade. I didn't even let her cut my top, she obviously has no idea what she is doing. If she was unsure of what a low fade is she should have asked and I would've went to a different barber. If you are going for a fade I recommend not using great clips. They obviously don't know how to fade. I just wasted $15 dollars. Never coming back. read more

I just had my first haircut since Covid 19 shut down our state. I went to Great Clips on Kennedy Road in Windsor. Great Clips has done a fantastic job of implementing safety procedures. There are many signs posted on the door to guide you. A greeter greets you, welcomes you, and gives you hand sanitizer. The salon is immaculate. The hairdressers are cheerful and welcoming. And I got the great haircut I always get, even with the new protocols. I totally recommend Great Clips in Windsor as a safe place to get a great haircut. read more

I use great clips all over the country and the last time I was in here, I had wonderful service. The last few weeks have been nuts in my life as good friend is in the ICU and I have been there alot. Someone said to me that my hair and bear were looking a little rough. Kind of funny since I am bald on the top but I knew what they meant. I knew I had a coupon in my car for Great Clips, so I walked in and before I could even say anything Lucinda came out from the back room and said "that coupon expired yesterday and I can't accept it" and turned and walked away. Well I decided it was easier to go home and do it myself. But I wasn't there for just a hair cut but other services as well, so I guess they lost the money on the other services as well. HORRIBLE customer service. Not knowing her name, I called and talked to Crystal who was just as nasty. Guess this is what you get when you hire those that graduate at the bottom and can't get into a real salon. Usually their haircuts aren't worth more than a coupon price. Maybe the owner should concentrate on getting these folks trained in customer service. Not coming back to this place. read more

I am not one of those people who really worries that much about my hair. I figure, it always grows back, so what's the big deal? Well, I found out what the big deal was. I went into Great Clips with the understanding that anyone can cut in a straight line. Well, unfortunately, I was very wrong. I had about 4 inches cut off. I can't remember which stylist cut my hair, but the left side ended up a full inch longer than the right side. The entire haircut took about 4 minutes, so I think it was less of a talent issue and more of a "really couldn't care less" issue. I thought about having her fix it, but hair can only get shorter and I didn't have much confidence that it would go any better the second time around. When I got home, my husband had said that he also had gotten a questionable hair cut from this place. He asked for them to blend the top and the bottom better and got the response "oh its fine" and so they did not fix it. read more

Went in to get 1 inch off the bottom of my hair. I have long hair not too thick. You would think this was a simple haircut. The women who cut my hair did a terrible job. First she ripped out my hair while trying to brush it. Don't they tell you to start at the bottom of hair with knots in it so you don't make the knot bigger at the tips of your hair? Then she never sectioned off my hair so the ends are all uneven. At the end she was just going in circles trying to find one piece of hair that was longer than then others because she never combed my hair to the front to see that it was the front of my hair, and wasn't supposed to be cut. She should have paid me to get this haircut since clearly she was just practicing. Terrible. My hair is all different lengths. I won't be going to her again!!! read more

I went in this past Monday to get a hair cut and I was very disappointed. First of all, when I walked in they asked for my name and they spelled it wrong, so I simply asked them to change it and I got attitude. The wait was only a few minutes, but the place was basically empty. I realized as I got to my chair that this is not the place for people with beautiful curly hair to go. I sat in the chair and the lady started brushing my DRY CURLS. She then told me my hair wasn't completely dry and began STRAIGHTENING it to show me what length it would be when she cut it. I was seriously contemplating if I should leave right that second. I very rarely straighten my hair because I don't want heat damage on my curls, so there was absolutely no reason for her to straighten it. I grabbed the frizzy I straightened piece of hair that was left and tried to measure it myself to see what length I would like my hair to be. I showed her where I wanted her to cut and she began judging me and saying that it would be too short because my hair is curly. I'm sorry, are you paying for this or am I? Anyways, she began cutting and I got nervous because I came in with my hair styled in a side part and she never split my hair down the middle before cutting. I asked her FOUR TIMES to part it down the middle and she said she would, but continued to do my entire hair cut while it was side parted. It is extremely uneven and now I have to wear my hair in a side part when I wear it down because it is too noticeable to wear it any other way. Not only did she cut it unevenly, but she cut way too short and did an awful job. I shouldn't have had to pay for the hair cut she gave me but I hope people will read this and realize that this place is awful. Never going back. read more
