It was a very hideous blonde & not in decent condition. If she can't take care of her own hair, how would she be able to do mine? The decor is a little weird, and the layout makes it look smaller than it is, but it's a nice little shop. Stacie does a great job on my hair and does a better job at handling the cowlicks and what not than the other people I've let cut my hair in the last few years. Awful, Inconsiderate and Incompetent! BE WARNED!!! My fiancé…read morewas referred to Linda for hair extensions, as she's a colleague of her current stylist so we figured we'd set up a consultation. First Issue! Even though the consultation was made for Saturday at 3:00pm, Linda completely forgot about the appointment, even going so far as asking "Why we're here?". After waiting 45 minutes for her to finish taking Instagram pictures, she looked at my fiancé's hair and gave us a price of $2,500, for the best quality hair available, etc and the installation appointment was made for the following Saturday. Second Issue! When we called, NOT Linda to confirm Saturday's appointment on Friday, we were told the hair has yet to come in. This was due in part to Linda forgetting to order the hair when she should've. This resulted in the installation day being changed to the following Tuesday. Third Issue! After the hair was installed, and I was ready to pay, the price went from $2,500 to $2,900, with the explanation being that she needed to use more hair. This was her mistake, as during the consultation she never said anything about possibly needing more hair or giving a price range. This seemeed to be a ploy to extract more money out of me as how would we know if more hair was used #1, and #2, if you were using more hair or had to use more hair, why wouldn't you tell your client during the installation? Now, when my fiancé had to get her hair colored and her extensions moved up, here's where the other problems lyed. 1.) The extension quality was NOT the quality as Linda claimed it to be! 2.) There were more extensions than needed, which caused damage to my fiancé's hair. 3.) Some of the extensions were so tight that it literally caused a noticeable bald spot, which as can be imagined has caused emotional stress. 4.) When the salon that re-did everything CORRECTLY was finished, the hair came out great and to our surprise, there was hair that wasn't installed, left over as it wasn't needed. Which means, the additional hair I was charged initially wasn't needed at all! I'm writing this review so others don't have to go through the emotional stress given by an incompetent hair dresser who's only clientele seems to come from word of mouth. It however, gives HONEYCOMB salon, where Linda works out of, in her little room a very bad name as one shouldn't be associated with this level of service or business practice. Embarrassing!

I started having Michele do my hair for the past year and everything was fine. She said she was happy I was always on time and never cancel. I was happy with her color and haircuts. On 9/5/2023, that vibe, ended. I don't know why she didn't just cancel my appointment. I could "feel," the bad vibes when I arrived. She was snippy and weird. I brought up "Bridge of flowers", and she started screaming; "one place you couldn't pay me to go to is JAMAICA!" This went on and on...talk about awkward. Then we go to the sink, 30 minutes later. She always puts a neck support down, because I had a surgery this past February and she ALWAYS does this. She offered to do it last year, and I was very grateful. All my sister had to do was show up. She said her stylist Marcy, was really cool and helped her decide on a hairstyle that would work for her lifestyle as a busy mom with three kids. She didn't feel pressured to buy anything unnecessary, and just all around enjoyed the experience. She said she would definitely go back, and even my mother is going to make an appointment for herself! The prices seemed extremely fair, but I am going by Chicago standards after all, where I easily pay double for the same thing. But based on my sister's rave review, I might take advantage of their services myself next time I visit!

Went there 8 years ago when I lived on CT shore with great results. Was nearby for a fitting last month and booked another cut. Well, Rina's gone postal: I told her exactly what I wanted, she argued against it, even though it was the same cut I'd had last time I was there; she started ranting about some women who was suffering from alcoholism and how people with alcoholism should be thrown in jail without a key - this woman is NOT someone you want waving angrily around your head with a pair of scissors. To top it all off, I needed a hair cut a week after she cut my hair because she didn't do what I asked her to do and instead, barely cut anything off. Rina has anger management problems. Don't risk your head or your hair.
