The tee boxes are very chewed up and mostly dirt. There was some charity golf event going on so our foursome had to play the back nine twice. Reviews have been unkind on the back nine and great on the front. It is like two seperate courses I guess. I am an average golfer. Low 90s for most courses. The back nine was really hard. All shots have your feet up/down or slanted in some way. Crazy bounces and the nothing is flat even in the fairway. I hit the most fairways of my foursome and that did not mean the next shot was going to be easy or flat. Some long holes, but nothing too crazy. Par 3 -203 was a little long for accuracy. Tons of waste areas in the perfect drive landing spot or second shot. Laying up does not work for the scoring. Greens very decent. Bunkers are not sand. Dirt/mud. Luckily I did not find one of them all day. Lost balls- yes please. You cannot go looking for them. The rough is like a links course. No searching even with a hacksaw. Overall, might take the fun out of golf on the back, Player 1 - 15 lost balls, Player 2 - 9 lost balls Player 3 - 8 lost balls and Player 4 (me) 4 lost balls. All of them shoot low 90's or bogey golf for the most part. The course needs some real love (money) to get it to a more playable condition.

We saw lots of deer in the neighborhood and stopped a few times to let them cross the road. There's a golf course and club house with a restaurant but we didn't check those out during our visit. Only downside is many of the streets didn't have sidewalks so walking the neighborhood seems a bit iffy since you have to walk in the street. I enjoyed staying here and would stay again if I'm back in the area.

The course ranger drove us up to the 14th hole to let us play around groups, and even gave us hot dogs at the end of the round. The course is in good shape, has beautiful views, nice tee boxes, and plenty of peace and quiet. I prefer this course to all others in the area due to its simplicity, tranquility, and great service.

That's the fancy french way to spell it right? A fresh salad lightly dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette. Full of ridiculously fresh lettuces. It was all the salad truly needed ( and had) cause the lettuce was so freakin' good. I could definitely detect some little gem and butter lettuce in the mix. There was a choice of hamburger or chicken. The chicken was in a light broth of old bay, bbq sauce, and something else which is escaping me. The chef behind the table cut the little knobby bone ( the bone that connects the breast with the wing) off of the breast after I picked it from the chafing dish... begging the question... why did they leave that on? But I think it oddly made some sort of weird difference. Well, whatever they did, the chicken was super tender and flavorful and the buns they had were crucially delicious. It was a spectacularly simple and delicious meal. I loved it. Everyone at the country club was extremely pleasant and attentive. Servers made sure that I had enough to drink and cleared my plate away quickly. The worst part of my experience was leaving the country club, as I know that I am very unlikely to back anytime soon. While I was informed ahead of time that the $39 fee existed, I will say that of all of the high end courses I've ever played, this is the first course that ever actually enforced it. Not the best value, but I was fully aware of their policy, so I cannot say I wasn't informed. After checking in, we ordered food, and was told it would be ready by our tee time. When we arrived to pick up our food, I was told the food was just being boxed up, and charged for food that had not even been started. 10 minutes later I come to find out that the food had not been started, and I'm now 10 mins late for my tee time. After asking for a refund, I rush outside to hit my first tee shot, only to realize 2 mins later that they had shortchanged me by $13 dollars. Overall, the course is nice, and is in good shape. Having driven 3 hours from Philadelphia, I would have expected a better experience. If the golf and atmosphere had been better, I would have definitely been inclined to come back. After this experience, I would not spend the time, or money coming back. While it's hard to put into words how truly bad the experience was, the overall lack of professionalism and indifference to our concerns is among the worst I've seen at a high end course.

Easily one of the cheapest rounds (9 holes) that I have ever paid for and I enjoyed every bit of it. Fun track that is very walkable and is tree lined, but there is also space to miss. Also they fairway cut everything, so there is no rough to deal with. They also do a great job of cleaning up below the trees, so it's very playable from everywhere. Pushed up greens that are challenging to hit, but the short grass around them help. The sixth hole (I believe) is a dogleg left par 5 that I would love to play again and again. If it were anywhere closer I would not think twice about joining. I hope to be back soon! Be sure to download the map of the area before coming here as I lost cell service on the way.
