Have played the course many times. We got to the course and discovered the fairways and greens had been aerated and sanded. Needless to say our game suffered. I stopped by the pro shop and asked if the aeration was mentioned when making tee times. The answer turned into a joke about my golf game.. I appreciate a golf course that is well taken care of but why not let people know when it's being done? read more

This is a 27 hole golf course just north of Front Royal in the Shenandoah Valley. Red , White and Blue courses. The fairways and greens are always well maintained making play above average. The course layout is challenging but not overly difficult. The club has an awesome clubhouse with a pro shop and bar and grill. The club house facilities are great for events and weddings, and the views are beautiful. This club is an area favorite and gets crowded so book ahead. They also feature plenty of outdoor seating and firepit events with music. Check this place out for a great round of golf ! read more

It took us 5 1/2 hours to play today. We called the clubhouse to see what was going on because there was two and three group back ups on holes. They sent Marshalls out. That did absolutely nothing. I will never play there again. It's just poor business. read more

Can't say enough about this place and it's staff/owner. I'm a huge golfer and honestly often get in trouble for how much time and money I spend on the sport. I found this gem through a friends recommendation when I first started playing years ago. Anyways, I hadn't been in a while and went back recently with all this Covid-19 business going on. It was a way to feel like I'm getting away with also not getting price gouged by every course in NOVA taking advantage of the MD golfers coming in to play. Okay rant over. My buddies and I, after a round on this beautiful mountain top course; decided to ask about booking their cottage for a weekend with our female companions (who do not play golf). I knew this would take some convincing, but honestly, the staff is really the reason it was all possible. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of every step of the way. So much so the girls actually left enjoying being out on the course so much I believe some of them are thinking about taking lessons. The value of this place is not in their great pricing (and yes the pricing is great). It's in the personality of every person that you get to meet and talk to through the time you're there. We left feeling like we had just visited long lost relatives. There's something in the water up there that just has everyone so much more connected with each other. It probably doesn't hurt that you can find the owner working most days checking in to make sure everyone's enjoying themselves. I don't think if he even knows what the word "no" is, honestly. We will definitely be back and plan to make it a regular trip we take. Thank you so much for all your help SVGC staff! A special shoutout to Janet and Ronda for keeping up with us as our plans changed the whole time leading up to our stay. Course is a nice destination for golf to get away from the hustle and bustle of nova. Carts could use a good cleaning and some tee boxes are worse for wear. For the most part the course is in great condition. Only complaint I have is this past weekend me and my buddy played 18 here and teed off at 12:30, by 2:00 when we made the turn we went into the pro shop/ kitchen area after my bag fell off of my cart due to a part of the bag carrier breaking. I notified the guy in the office that this happened and showed him the cart breaking. I had asked if we could get a couple of hot dogs and he said the kitchen was closed so we couldn't get any. Weird that the kitchen was closed but we noticed that 2 people who were in the pro shop weren't there earlier. Just a 30-40 something year old gentleman and a college student doing his homework. Not sure why this was the case as it had been raining earlier in the day but only sprinkling rain and maybe for about an hour. I've worked at multiple courses before and when the kitchen is closed we still made people hot dogs as it's one of the easiest things to make and takes no less than 5 minutes. This was my only complaint because I was very hungry and had missed breakfast before my round, other than this and the issue with the cart not being able to carry my bag for the last couple of holes on the front nine; the course is in beautiful condition nestled away in the mountains with an awesome scenic drive to get out there. Will definitely be returning if they keep having hot rates but for $72-$80 a round I think it is a little pricey. Overall a great intermediate level course! read more

Played golf here many times over the years. Price is fair. Holes often align each other so it's hard to lose a ball. It's a fun course. I've always paid by the round. Pricing is good, memberships are also reasonably priced. So enjoy the beauty of the Shenadoah mountains and get some exercise. read more

Played early in the morning on a Saturday, got off on time and played in 4 hours. Greens were rolling and course was in good shape. My only gripe is a lot of blind tee shots, but other than that, I loved it. Will certainly be returning in the near future. read more

This course used to be decent. If you like paying $55 to play the same 9 twice, and be waiting half the day because they always overbook their course, then this is the course for you. Hope you enjoy mowers all day long too. read more

My husband and I were married at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club this past July. It was amazing. The Fairview House was perfect for the bridal party to get ready in (ladies were on the main level and upstairs and the men were in the basement in the "man cave"); we had our hair dressers come on site and set up shop in the dining room. The scenery is breathtaking and it is reflected in all of our wedding photos. Janet was absolutely wonderful and kept the whole thing running smoothly. She goes above and beyond! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The club house easily accommodated our 215 guests. Everyone raved about the food. It was everything I could've asked for and more! I would highly recommend Shenandoah Valley Golf Club for a perfect wedding (or other large event) to anyone and everyone! read more

Everyone at the club is extremely amiable and ready to take the extra mile to help you out. When working with them on an event, you feel as though the employees are family and they really care about your life's moments. The golf branch of the club is amazing as well. The entire course is well kept and it is truly delightful to spend a day out on the course playing a round of golf. We play various courses throughout the area, we always play a different course each weekend. I called Shenandoah Valley Golf and I made a reservation for two foursomes with Mickey, on Tuesday Oct 16th, we scheduled two tee times, (back to back) for Saturday October 20th. He asked me my name and my cell phone number, which I gave them to him. He said we were scheduled for Sat. the 20th at 9am and 9:08 am. So, ........we show up at 8am on Saturday and I asked him if we were still OK for today at 9:00 and 9:08 am. He promptly tells me with a stern voice I don't know what you mean, but YOU ARE NOT PLAYING HERE TODAY....very rude, very rude. We walked inside to talk with Barbara, and she was just as rude saying "I don't know what you are going to do, we cannot do anything for you, and you are not playing here today"......again very rude manners. We were shocked to be talked to this way. Miles walked by hearing her stern tone voice, and asked us what the problem was? We explained it to him...and thank the lord, Miles was the only one willing to help us out. Miles called a few courses and got us tee times at Jacksons Chase. Now, Jacksons Chase is no Shenandoah Valley....but we at least got to play that morning. I think Shenandoah Valley should look into the method with which these two employees handle customers, and make changes. I am sure the eight of us WILL NOT return to play there in the future, and we have always made Shenandoah Valley a stop on our rotating schedule we use all year long, spring, summer, fall, and winter. My husband had his golf tournament held here in September before our wedding (which was also held at Shenandoah) and all the guys (avid golfers) said the course was fantastic. I find it hard to believe it isn't being taken care of. Our wedding was perfect. The food, views, Janet (their event coordinator), service, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I am an event coordinator and I did not have one complaint. I live in Loudoun County and Shenandoah was by far the best venue and value I could have asked for. read more

What a beautiful golf course, unfortunately, no one seems to be taking care of it. The greens were in horrible condition, not much grass even to be seen. Played here for the first time, and was very disappointed. The course has lots of potential, but again the condition of the the greens was horrendous. read more
