Almost but not quite a diggers paradise. There are always random piles of unsorted stuff which is unusual for an antique mall. Bring wetwipes for your hands. It seems to only one lady (the owner?) working there so call ahead in case they close early or open late or not at all. It's happened to us.

Hilltop Furniture ultimately gave me the choice, quality, value, and exemplary service I was looking for. This will definitely be my first stop next time I'm looking to buy furniture. I learned of Hilltop Furniture when at another furniture store in the Fox Valley area. The salesman at the store touted a couch, loveseat, and chair that were made by local factory in Kaukauna, but I was unhappy with the prices he quoted me. That's when I took matters into my own hands and called the factory directly. I was told the factory doesn't sell directly, but they directed me to their outlet store, Hilltop Furniture, located just east of Kaukauna. I made the 20-30 minute trip and managed to find the store which looked like it was located on a farm. The signage was good, though. Once inside, I was very impressed with the selection; there were two large rooms of furniture. One had traditional sofas, chairs, ottomans and recliners. The other consisted of log furniture: couches, chairs, tables, dressers, bedframes, etc. (If you want log furniture, this is the place to go.). The saleswoman was very helpful and not pushy at all. She let me look around all I wanted and checked on me periodically, knowledgeably answering any questions I had. When suggesting upgrades (e.g. more resilient foam in the cushions), she explained why I might want that, but didn't try to "sell" me. In the end, I decided to get the same sofa, loveseat, and chair combination I had seen at the original furniture store who told me about the factory. Hilltop Furniture, however, immediately quoted me a price $600 LOWER (~$1600 for the three pieces, including tax). I was told they don't negotiate on price, but believe that's because they actually put the lowest price they can on their products to start with. I was also able to choose my own upholstery fabric from a wide selection. I was told the factory was a bit backed-up, so it would probably be 5 weeks before my custom upholstered furniture was done. I got a call that it was done after 3.5 weeks, which made me very happy. What's more, every other store in the area seemed to use a delivery company in Green Bay and charged a delivery fee of about $70. Despite being 20-30 minutes from me, Hilltop Furniture offered free delivery on a weeknight (so I didn't have to take off from work). I was told to expect my furniture after 4pm; I got a call from the store at 4:10 saying the delivery guys were on the way. They arrived with my furniture around 4:45 pm and were done just after 5 pm. Needless to say, with free delivery, I decided to give them a good tip. As it turned out, the delivery men were workers from the factory. In fact, one of them was the individual who inspected my furniture. I joked that I now knew who to blame if something went wrong. He promptly told me that, if it does, give the store a call and they'll pick up the furniture and fix it for me. So far, I've had no problems at all and have been extremely happy with my purchase. I'll definitely repeat. The downside, unless something has changed, Hilltop Furniture is not open very long in the evening and is only open for a few hours on Saturday since they only have one saleswoman. I'd call before making the trip to make sure they'll be open. However, there is a website if you search for "Hilltop Furniture Kaukauna." I'm also not sure about financing, but am guessing they don't do that. I payed with a credit card...an initial down payment (amount up to me) and the rest upon delivery. I'd highly recommend this store to anyone who lives in the Fox Valley area and can make the trip. Excellent service, quality, and value!

In my experience, BoxDrop Furniture is a well thought out, well executed scam. It is NOT clearance, it's NOT less expensive, it is NOT good quality, and it has no real warranty. This company is cleverly crooked from the bottom up and lots of consumers are falling for it, including me. BoxDrop buys their furniture new from manufacturers just like other furniture stores, but by calling it 'clearance' and locating in a warehouse, they trick you and me into putting little blinders on so we think we're getting a good deal. Plus, they get away with not providing a warranty like honest furniture companies, and they save a ton of money on rent. No wonder its a hot franchise. The only one that loses is the customer. I bought a two-piece reclining sofa from BoxDrop Direct and paid about $1900. It was made by Parker House Furniture. The reclining mechanism on one side didn't work well straight from the box. The other side broke after only 12 days! The furniture was so poorly and cheaply made that if you moved in the chair the whole thing wobbled. During the sales process Dan the owner had told me the sofa had the warranty advertised by the manufacturer and they claimed it had a 3-year warranty, but when I called BoxDrop to request warranty service, Dan told me he had to "get permission" to repair it. First he had his guys come and take pictures and insert little washers into the furniture. Apparently they have to do that alot; he carries them in his pocket. They claimed that would fix it, but it didn't. When that didn't work Dan said he couldn't do anything else until he got permission from a company called "RSS" (which stands for Retail Service Systems, the franchise mastermind behind this elaborate scam) and on another call he claimed he needed permission from the manufacturer. I waited months. To Dan's credit, he was pretty good about taking and returning phone calls during this time. In the end Dan gave me all my money back and unfortunately, the recliner went to the dump where it belonged with the other garbage. I replaced it with a high end, HIGH QUALITY recliner sofa by Home Stretch from WG&R furniture that came with a warranty, and I paid $60 **LESS** than the junky death trap "clearance" recliner from BoxDrop!!!! Plus the furniture came with a real warranty from a real company and I know it will last for years, not days. It's been working great for months and it doesn't wobble. Reviews about BoxDrop are also a scam. There used to be some scam reviews at their website but they're gone. BoxDrop claims to have thousands of great reviews in social media. Hm. If everything else was a lie, I'm guessing that's a lie too, but I don't know that for sure. The five star review here at Yelp was written by Dan the owner. (Hey, that's not legit, Dan.) Read it, it's a commercial, not a review, and it misleads consumers because it gives them an artificially high rating. But at least they're consistent... misleading people is what they're really good at! Scam. Scam. Scam! Around the time I bought my furniture I saw an article by Inc. magazine about what a great (money maker) BoxDrop is. That article seems to have disappeared. Maybe they got a whif of the scam too and dropped it from their magazine. This is the Returns & Warranty policy at boxdropdirect.com/returns-warranty/ at the time I posted this review: "We want to make sure you received the correct product in good condition. If it's broken on arrival, or there is a manufacturer's defect, or we delivered the wrong item to you, you must notify us of the issue within 21 days of delivery. As long as you notify us of the issue within that time frame, we'll either get you a replacement product or, if that's not possible, you can return the items for a refund. If you return a broken or defective product, return shipping costs will apply, and the item must be in its original packaging to be accepted. If we sent you the wrong item, we will reimburse you for shipping the product back to us. Other than these limited exceptions, ALL SALES ARE FINAL." Scam alert! You'll never be able to return or get warranty for your purchase because, at least in my case, it was not delivered with the original packaging. Buyer beware. Not every piece of "high quality clearance furniture" is really high quality clearance furniture!!! Shame on people who lie and deceive other people. Shame on you, Dan and all others associated with BoxDrop.
