They are all on Navajo nation territory so you legally can only see/explore these places with a certified Navajo tour guide so I opted to do this one since the internet said it's the least crowded and was cheapest as mentioned (the others are like $80-over $100). Overall, it was so worth it - the tour is only about 40-50 mins in total but our tour guide was so kind and so knowledgeable about the area and Navajo history (he is Navajo of course). He was also an excellent photographer and knew how to recommend where people stand etc to get the best pics! Of note you have to take a short van ride out to the canyon, it's only about 10 mins but you need to come at your selected tour time to catch that van with your group. They assign you a van when you arrive and I think usually 4-5 vans go and tour the canyon at once with a different tour guide for each van. The lighting and color at this place alone is 5/5 in my book but learning about the history and science of it really takes it above and beyond imo. This is an absolute do not miss spot when coming through Utah/arizona! Last noted: plenty of parking is available in the lot which is also red sand/dirt. It was VERY windy the day I came and bc of the sand and dust my nose was running a lot. You're not allowed to take a backpack/bag per Navajo laws so pack tissues in your pocket if you're sensitive and take a bottle of water in your hand. Also don't keep your car door open long, the wind will blow sand into it. And don't wear a hat that'll fly off easily haha! Bathrooms here are portapotties only, go at home right before coming if you can.

A lot of beauty to admire at the canyon, and really nice stories to be heard and shared. The tour guide did state multiple times that we can take our time. He also created a demo micro slot canyon before our eyes. All the drivers were very nice. Here are some things to note though: -The check in process was confusing the day we went. We kept getting asked if we checked in. Initially we weren't greeted by anyone. Then a very pretty lady helped get us started with signing a paper waiver. -In my opinion, we actually had a large group, a bit over 20 people if I recall correctly. However, it wasn't overwhelming. -We separated into taking a wagon and small bus to the slot canyon. There were two different groups. Getting back to the destination spot was split into a bus, an older suburban, and a UTV. Not sure if the wagon ever came back. -We were the last tour group of the day. -They have portable potties near parking grounds, but is about a 8-20 min transportation dependent on type of vehicle and how fast you are from the slot canyon. -Definitely don't want someone who has mobility issues or have discomfort while walking coming to this trip! -No videos

This place has an outdoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi, a gym, a small shopping corner right next to the front desk. Also a laundry room access for a fee. My stay included a breakfast, which was very nice, 6am-9:30am. There was coffee and tea station in the lobby for added convenience. The check in process was simple and easy. The employee was very polite and friendly. After providing a credit card for accidental damages, I received my room card immediately. My room/suite was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchenette was fully equipped, including a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and a sink with garbage disposal. Also had all plates and dishes and utensils and cups, etc. Even had dishwasher soap and paper towels. On the tv, it was my name displayed upon my arrival. The king sized bed was very comfortable. In the closet was an ironing board and an iron, also plenty of hangers. The bathroom had a large walk in shower, plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and towels. Place was nice and clean! We really wanted to avoid the antelope canyon experience after hearing about the reviews upon research. We did the hiking tour. Jose took his time walking us through and telling us about the history of the Navajo tribe and surrounding areas. He also pointed out different characteristics of stone/rock we saw in the canyons. This is one of the slot canyon tours available near Page. It is a totally different experience…read morethan the Antelope canyon tours. This one is longer, a lot less crowded and more open in most places. Garret led us through and answered questions and told us about things. Really looked out for his clients. There are a couple of tight spots and a bunch of stairs at the end, but for the most part pretty doable. There's a fair amount of walking on sand, so be prepared for that. Antelope is deeper and I think a bit more dramatic, but they are pushing through thousands of people a day. For a similar experience with no crowd, you can come here.

The easiest is to take a 2 hour boat tour/ride and it will take you to about a mile's hike to the bridge. Not the easiest natural bridge to get to but would be worth it when you get there. It is a sacred bridge to the Navajo Indians so you are requested not to walk under or approach the arch. Might be better to go in the evening, because sunlight does not fall on it in the morning from the viewing area and you are not heavily pressured to respect tribal custom and not walk under the bridge and take pictures from the other side. Don't even think about walking around it, since that would be walking off the trail and the fine is $25,000, if you are caught.

On the day of the tour, we woke up really early, munched on some fruits and bread for breakfast and drove to the Lake Powell Marina to take the boat. We sat on the top deck for a few minutes to enjoy the views, but very soon went downstairs to sit indoors because the weather was very cold. During the two and a half hours boat journey, we kept ourselves busy by listening to the audio tour and looking at the unique and marvelous red rock formations all the way through. During the last half hour, the boat entered a narrow passage with towering rocks on all sides. A bit scary and exciting! A part of the passage was so narrow that everybody in the boat went "Ohhhhh" and "aaaaahhhh". We finally reached the dock near the Rainbow Bridge, stocked up on water and snacks and started the 1.5 mile hike to see the Rainbow Bridge. It was an easy hike and we were walking among the soaring tall rocks. We looked minuscule and more like ants to these rocks. As the trail turned, we caught a glimpse of the massive Rainbow Bridge. We walked further to see the bridge completely. A colossal structure majestically standing right in front of us! This 290 feet structure is apparently considered sacred by the American Indian tribes. For the same reason, visitors are not allowed to walk under the bridge or touch the bridge. We spent a little over half hour, taking pictures and mostly gasping at this gigantic naturally formed structure. Then walked back and boarded the boat. The return journey is never always fun, because everyone is exhausted. Just lazed back in the seat, watching the beautiful structures on the way, until the boat took us back to Lake Powell in Page.
