This review is basically only about their tent spots and their fees for them. I do not recommend this place for tent campers nor for van people. Especially during the winter months. I reserved a dry tent site for $50 after taxes. It had no picnic table so I had to steal the one from the very close by neighbor campsite because there is nothing between sites. I tried the faucet and realized why the website said dry. The restrooms and showers were well kept and very clean as others have said. I'll give them that. They have a laundry room, but 75% of the machines were not working. The basic tent campsites are next to a parking lot with very bright lights as well as by the road where you hear every vehicle. They have "glamping tent" spots that are nothing to brag about with no privacy between the adjacent lots. They need to charge a lot less for the tent spots. Both the "glamping" and the $40 basic. Especially during the winter months!! They don't even have a veteran's discount at this location. I should have just slept in my van by the side of the road and paid $10 for a shower here. Only good part is that I found a great Italian deli in town that made this stop worth it.

We were in a motorhome pulling a car hauler. We had a perfect spot even with the length of our rig. Our pull through was extremely easy to fit. The reservation process was easy. We did call to finish up our reservation due to needing a cabin for Daughter & adult grandson. Staff finished our sign in then took my daughter over to her cabin as I set up RV (which was very helpful). Daughter was moving & pulling a 18ft U-Haul, but it fit right next to cabin in its own driveway. They are even installing new cabins right now. Daughter was in one of the older cabins, but you can see from the pictures there were great, for the price. We paid more for a cabin in Idaho & had to provide our own linens. Staff was very accommodating by putting daughter across from us. I saw where some one said there wasn't much grass, you are in the desert where saving water is extremely important. I was happy they had trees. I used the Parks showers & bathroom. It was clean, water was hot, showers worked great, plenty of water, & building was warm. We were very happy with prices, customer service, accommodations, & the wonderful dog park. Dog park gas a washing station to clean your dog after a long dusty or muddy hike (see photo). Our family will be back. Everything was close like a Walmart, gas stations, car wash that accommodated our motorhome, many many restaurants, etc... It costs to enter the area/park. It was $30 for our car and $30 for our boat So $60 total just to get in and that entrance fee is good for 7 days. And then it was right under $500 to camp from Monday-Saturday for a full hookup site. There's not much shade at the camp sites. Also there is a ton of ant hills so beware. But the views are beautiful. They have a laundry mat that's by the front office and it's open 24/7 and plenty of bathrooms that are clean around the campground. The young two female African Americans that were in the office are not friendly. No smile no nothing from them so don't go in there planning to talk to them because they just stare at you like you're annoying them. I recommend visiting the visitor center in town. It's right by the dam. Also don't forget to see horseshoe bend!

Page AZ is a SMALL TOWN! Only two RV parks in the area…read more A beautiful NEW park. We stayed for 2 months while husband was on a temporary work assignment. Sites are kinda narrow (37' trailer) with barely room to park the truck next to the trailer. Site isn't deep enough to park in front of the trailer. There's no shade--trees look like they were planted last spring. Website says they have laundry facilities but during the 2 months we stayed more than half of the NEW MACHINES were out of order. Three laundry rooms with 4 washers and dryers each and today we have a total of 5 washers and 4 dryers working at the whole park. We chose this park based on amenities like onsite laundry and the fact that it was the only place here to offer a monthly discounted rate. If you are looking for a short time space this will probably work for you but I can't fully recommend it because of the small sites and lack of maintenance with the laundry facilities.

Lake Powell is a reservoir created by the flooding of Glen Canyon by the Glen Canyon Dam…read more Unfortunately due to the southwestern North American megadrought that began in 2000, the water levels are lower than usual, and you can see the bathtub ring effect on the rocks. I visited Lone Rock Beach, however it's no longer alone, since the receding water levels has connected the rock stack the the beach itself. The paved road ends and turns into a quite sandy surface, so be careful and use your best judgement, especially since there is no guaranteed towing service if you get stuck in the sand. There are several different ways you can check out Lake Powell. One option is to see it from afar from atop cliffs and overlooks in Glen Canyon Park. This provides scenic views of the beautiful lake. Another option is to actually see the Lake up close and personal. There are several spots where you can do that. I decided to make the short drive into Utah to see it from Lone Rock. You have to drive through some rocky/sandy terrain so me careful to follow the path (unless you're in a car with four-wheel drive). Once you get closer to the beach, you will reach a sandy area. Do not drive through it. You'll see cars and RVs parked right where the terrain changes for good reason. Unless you have the proper vehicle, you'll get stuck in the sand. I saw it happen. That will ruin your day. There are even warning signs about this. Once we parked our rental, we walked to the shoreline. I dipped my toes in the water, a bit cold but pleasant. It's a great place to just relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings. The Lake is also a popular spot to rent boats. While I didn't do this, it is a popular activity. A must-visit while in Page!

It's a 20-30 minute walk going to the to the bend and another 20-30 minutes back. The walk to the bend is on a decline and then the walk back to the parking lot is at an incline. The incline does tend to seem steeper than the decline but there are shaded stops (2 shaded viewpoints) with some seating if you need to stop on your way back. There are two rest spots along the way to sit for a bit if you are tired. Both spots has limited seating and shade provided by a canopy The best viewpoint has a guardrail around it, but you are free to wander off on your own. Do be careful, you can fall down, its a real spot, and not Disneyland, so just watch your step We went right after a few days of rain. The area is a bit remote and cell phone coverage is spotty I suggest wearing comfy shoes. Ladies, if you want to wear high heels, bring them in a backpack and change out when you are ready to take photos, your feet will thank you. The path to the bend has a gentle decline on tbe way there and an incline on the way back. Its not paved, but it is well maintained. Definitely an excellent experience, photos and videos don't do it justice. Go and see it with your own eyes

We received no communication from management about either outage or when we could expect it to be restored. We decided to leave early but they would only refund 50% of what we have paid for the remaining days so we decided to stay. If you have a boat, this park is great because it is near a boat launch. However, if you don't have a boat--or willing to pay $500 to rent one, there is no access to the lake. We passed at least four Rv parks on the 30 minute drive from the RV park to beach access.

The day before our tour, Julia called to let us know strong headwinds were expected and asked if we wanted to adjust our time. We already had a different morning tour scheduled, and they were incredibly accommodating with our plans. At the launch site, we met our guide Logan, and we were lucky that it was just our family of four on this tour. Husband and I wore aqua shoes and my daughters opted to wear their Birkenstock sandals and go barefoot, which was fine if you're okay with getting red mud on them. Logan was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous since I'm a beginner kayaker, but he let us move at our own pace. It ended up being a great workout while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The canyon was quiet, beautiful, and not crowded at all. We paddled across Lake Powell and into the canyon, and the cool lake water felt amazing in the warm end-of-March weather (mid-80s). They provided life jackets, offered bottled water, and Logan even took photos of us both on the water and at the end of the canyon, which we really appreciated. He also shared helpful paddling tips along the way. The entire tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours and was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. John left much time for us to take cool pictures and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure to engage with each person in the group and was successful in getting the more shy individuals to step out of their comfort zones. John and Sid (the other employee) made this tour worth it. They provided awesome recommendations for things in the area and also future outdoor related activities in the U.S. Be sure to pack enough water. Remember you are in a kayak and your items will likely get soaked. Luckily they provide one water proof bag per kayak which can hold your phone and camera. If you feel the need to pack more, I recommend that you bring your own waterproof back pack. I opted to go barefoot in the kayak and wear shoes on the hike. You will have to walk through water to get on and off of the boat. Do not let your size and fitness level deter you from this tour. We had no idea what we were getting into, but they assured us and told us everything we needed to know to feel confident that we'd be able to make the trip there and back. They make the process so easy every step of the way. This experience is a MUST for anyone interested in nature. My daughter and I did this together and I will never forget it. It took teamwork, communication, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to go with the flow--all things that add up to some serious bonding. We'll cherish this experience for the rest of our lives!

She said yes but the benefit of using them was they carried the boards down and up a steep hill. We were there on Saturday April 25th. So we rented two paddle boards and she warned us about the winds. It was like $155. She was nice so we went for it. We get to the site and are waiting around. They haven't even taken the boards off the truck, but we were fine waiting. Layla finally made it up the HILL and had 2 boards taken off the truck and laid on the ground. I asked if any of the MANY men who were there and carrying kayaks down, was going to carry them down. She said no, you carry them. And that hill was STEEP. I figured meh, okay. I was annoyed since we were told they'd be ready for us at the bottom. Layla carried my paddle. Once I saw the hill, I was even more annoyed but I already paid $155 plus $30 entry to the lake. When we got to the bottom, she mentioned when we got back I had to carry it back up. I said I'm not doing that. lol. She held my leash so I could climb on my board. Not an easy task where we were. The paddle boarding was rough but we knew that, the girls at the office warned us. 5 miles later we returned. I STRUGGLED getting off the board and trying to haul it up by myself, my body was shaking and I was visibly exhausted. A young man who worked for this place, WATCHED me struggle. Asked how it was, I said it sucked. He mentioned me carrying the board up that steep hill, while I was shaking from exhaustion and out of breath, and I said "I'm not doing that" and he replied with "why is it heavy?" I did carry my life jacket and paddle...but after that comment I REALLY didn't want to. Layla gave me a water at the top and said to take a breath, I was breathing very heavy. I'd say don't rent paddle boards. You will have to carry them up and down the hill and will get no assistance getting off the board either. But they did carry the kayaks and help those people who also paid like we did, in and out of the kayaks. So maybe rent those and not the paddle boards.

Check-in felt a bit like standing in a slow car rental line. We waited about 15 minutes while a line formed behind us, and there was a form with disclaimers to sign before getting the room key. Our room was in Building 7. The rooms feel dated, and housekeeping seemed inconsistent. We had 2 bath towels, 2 makeup towels, and 1 hand towel, but no washcloths and no pool towels. The front desk said pool towels should be in the room, but there are none available at the pool itself. Our bathtub drain was clogged, so water pooled during showers, and one of the bed frames had something unpleasant on the fabric that clearly should have been cleaned. Amenities were also disappointing for a property charging a nightly resort fee. The hot tub jets were broken, the water wasn't warm, and it looked pretty dirty. The pools are not heated, so they were ice cold in April. Ironically, the hot tub appeared to finally start working the morning we checked out. Food options on site include the Driftwood Lounge, a breakfast deli, and the Rainbow Room for buffet and dinner (reservations required for dinner). The buffet was just okay -- next time I'd skip it and order an entrée instead. The hot & spicy wings at the lounge were decent. Overall, I gave it 3 stars because the staff were very kind and the views are fantastic. If we stayed again, we'd come with the expectation of enjoying the scenery rather than the amenities.

We had friends come from around the country to spend a day on the water…read more We booked a pontoon boat months in advance because it was large enough to fit us all comfortably. When we arrived we were told they were all broken, but they'd "upgrade" us to a smaller boat. It was 2ft smaller and much narrower, and it didn't fit our group comfortably. When we voiced our concerns, the two women behind the counter were the most miserable and unhelpful people we've ever encountered. No apologies, no solutions offered. When we pressed them to help us figure something out, one of them yelled at us and told us to just cancel and leave. How did these people end up in customer service? They totally ruined our day with their attitude and reluctance to make good on the problem they created. Some of the other staff - who were great - told us this is normal behavior for these women, and a regular issue for customers because all of their boats are constantly "under maintenance". We ended up having to rent two smaller boats and splitting up our group at an extra cost.
