I am unable to drive and spent $$ on a ride to see this female DDS I had heard such good things…read moreabout. I have had dental issues before and so, when she was suggesting a procedure to reveal more tooth, cutting away gum tissue, so casually, I knew this was really an oral surgery procedure, and she was NOT an oral surgeon. While she might have been able to do this, it would have been not at all in MY best interests in light of prior dental traumas and discomfort. She was told this and said she could give me a valium. A very imo, stupid suggestion in that while I am a young senior, I am at this time using a walker and anything that would potentially make me unsteady could lead to a fall and injury would be ill advised. It became to me very apparent that she was not the type of caring professional I anticipated and was too anxious to do a procedure that would not be in MY best interests though would bring in some income for the business she was part of. I did have a follow up visit because the night of the first visit, the tooth basically disintegrated when I bit on something, and I went back to see if the treatment plan was still feasible even though I would not have her do the initial care, which I had indicated would be likely since I knew an oral surgeon. While she still thought it was doable, I had happened prior to have a visit scheduled with my retiring dds of many years. And when she saw the tooth remains, in its current condition, she was shocked, and concluded as I had, that long term the tooth was not going to survive and what was left needed to be removed and potentially replaced. To think that I went out of my way at great expense (for transportation) for this "care". The other DDS in the practice gets good reviews. For routine care perhaps they are fine. But I will not be back. Even if I lived down the block, I would hesitate. This particular DDS only enhanced my general distrust of dentists.

Aspen Dental in Mentor - A Truly Exceptional Experience When…read moreI found out I needed dentures or implants, I started visiting multiple dental offices for consultations. Aspen Dental in Mentor was actually my fifth scheduled consult. At that point, I was feeling discouraged--every place I'd been to had issues with pricing, professionalism, or staff attitude. So honestly, I didn't have high hopes going into my first appointment. But the moment I walked through the door at Aspen, everything felt different. The front desk staff all smiled, welcomed me in, and acknowledged me right away. That small gesture immediately gave me hope that this might be the right place. I was called back promptly, and every person I encountered greeted me with kindness and professionalism. After getting X-rays and meeting with the doctors to discuss multiple treatment plans, I was taken to meet with the office manager, Sarah, to go over pricing. Let me just say--Sarah is amazing. She's personable, knowledgeable, flexible, and incredibly patient. Unlike other offices where I felt rushed or pressured, Sarah took her time with me. She walked through every option I asked about, gave me multiple quotes without hesitation, and never once made me feel like a burden or like I had to decide on the spot. Once my fiancée and I chose the plan that worked best for us, everything else went smoothly--from scheduling pre-op appointments and the surgery itself, to handling payments. Fast forward to yesterday--surgery day. I was definitely nervous, but also excited. I've always had a strong fear of dental visits, but the moment I arrived, the entire team helped me feel at ease. The doctors, surgeons, nurses, assistants, and office staff were all absolutely amazing. The surgery went great. Everyone was so attentive and kind during my recovery, and they provided me with thorough aftercare instructions and plenty of supplies for my recovery at home. Thank you again to the entire Aspen Dental team in Mentor for making this process so smooth, respectful, and supportive. I truly appreciate all of you. If you're considering dentures, implants, or any dental work, I highly recommend giving Aspen Dental in Mentor a chance. They completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist!

I am making this post on my daughter's behalf as she is a first time parent with a full schedule…read moreand I have the time. Her 2yr old toddler has had 2 visits in this office. The first appt was a good experience , her father brought her in and they gave him advice on continuing to do good hygiene and to limit juice to 2x a week and encourage more water. This visit was quick but it was only an exam which is to be expected. For a little background this is an interracial couple. Only one parent came for this first visit. The toddler had an unfortunate accident which caused her to lose a tooth and impact another. She was taken to the ER and the parents were told to follow up with her dentist within a week. As this has happened mom has taken time off from work to care for the baby. She had follow-up appointments scheduled with the pediatrician and dentist and would need leave paperwork filled out. On the second visit: Both parents come to the appt. the dental assistant comes in and asks "what brings them in today?" Mom begins to explain that the baby jumped off of the couch and hit her face on the coffee table which caused the injury to her teeth. As mom is explaining the dentist rushes in and asks "what brings you in today?"so mom explains why they are there again. The dentist looks in the toddler's mouth calls out to his assistant that the "central left is missing and the other tooth is impacted". He then turns to the mom and tells her "so why are you here?" She responds "we are here as a follow-up visit to see what the next steps would be" He says there is not a next step her tooth may come back down we have to wait and see if it does and to follow up in 6 months." He then says "he can't fill out her paperwork bc he didn't tell her to take time off from work and didn't prescribe medication and this isn't a serious injury that she would have needed to take time off from work." He asked her if she had x-rays? Mom says "yes hey took x-rays at the ER but she doesn't have them" and tried to explain why she needed the papers filled out and he would not allow her to get a word in only telling her that she "should go back to the ER to get them to fill it out bc they are idiots and should have done it if they told her to take time off from work." He ended the visit saying he can't fill out the paperwork and that she "can fill it out herself and send it in it will be okay." He said "if I fill this out it's not going to look good like I did something wrong here." Making it seem as if taking a week off from work would have been an improper response to take care of your child. The take away from this experience: Why wouldn't you take time off to care for your child if they are injured??? Why would you bring in the x-ray from the ER? Why wouldn't Dr.Armanazi look up the X-rays in the medical database? Why would mom fill out leave paperwork and turn in without a Doctor's signature so it can be denied? He left the parents feeling rushed, disappointed, and that they were wasting his time. Next steps: Visit google, Ohio state dental board, insurance carrier, and most importantly find a new dental practice who is more professional and has the time to properly evaluate and care for patients.

We transferred here in 2018 after our original dentist retired. Loved the atmosphere and the accommodations to make it more comfortable the the little ones. Dr A and his staff are great with the kids. BUT - in the few years we have been coming here - our visits are no more than ten minutes. Sometimes less. Compared to the other dentist we were seeing - it just didn't feel like a thorough exam. This last time we went - I purposely timed it and with X-rays, a visit from Dr A and a cleaning - we were in and out in 8 minutes. Just doesn't seem right - and compared to the other pediatric dentist - the visits were 3x as long. I get they're kids and don't have the patience - but the exams are missing something. Going with my gut and switching to someone that takes more time for what I'm paying for.
