A phone number was listed with instructions to call and make an appointment. Called and you guessed it, no return call was ever received. At present my family is at a disadvantage in terms of sight seeing because one of us is mobility impaired and without the knee walker we had been promised. I would not recommend this provider to anyone. Clearly they do not honor commitments and have absolutely no appreciation for customer service. If you have other options when needing medical supplies, I'd highly recommend you use them and avoid Milford Medical Supplies at all cost!

I chose this DME provider because they were one of the only authorized providers in the area for Cubby Beds and had positive reviews--though now I question their authenticity. In August, I submitted all required documentation for my son's Cubby Bed, including a detailed letter of medical necessity and prescription for the full system (bed, canopy, mattress, and tech hub). My insurance approved everything quickly and without issue. However, the DME company submitted the order incorrectly as only ONE unit of durable medical equipment. When I called to clarify, I was told it should have been submitted as FOUR separate units. This forced me to go back to my insurance company to correct THEIR mistake, causing unnecessary delays and confusion. After finally getting approval corrected, the bed was delivered--but without the tech hub. When I followed up, I was then told (months later, on December 30) that the tech hub was actually a FIFTH unit that had never been submitted. Again, I had to contact my insurance company myself to fix their error. My insurance approved the additional unit immediately, but because it was approved on December 30 and the company was closed for New Year's, the order was delayed and the tech hub went on backorder. I was assured it would still be delivered and backdated. It is now April, and we still have not received the tech hub. To make matters worse, our insurance has since changed, meaning we will likely never receive it. This is not just an inconvenience--this is a serious safety issue. The tech hub includes monitoring features that are critical for my son, who has epilepsy. This equipment could literally help save his life during a nighttime seizure, and we are without it due to repeated errors and mismanagement by this company. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and repeated mistakes throughout this process are unacceptable. I strongly urge other families to choose a different DME provider. This has been an incredibly frustrating and concerning experience, and no family should have to fight this hard for medically necessary equipment.

I had a billing issue with Sparrow Medical Supply. They were billing me and adding late fees for…read moreclaims which I'd already paid and for which payment had cleared the bank. Instead of proactively investigating the issue from their end, they got defensive and just kept insisting they didn't receive payment whenever I'd ask a different question about the payment process to try and understand where things may have broken down. I'm a troubleshooter, it's what I do. They seemed to take my questions as attacks rather than inquisitiveness, which, in my professional experience, generally indicates poor working conditions, hostile management, and disgruntled employees. Only after my bank faxed proof of payment to their office did they bother to believe me and do their own investigation -- they called to tell me the matter was "resolved", that they found all the payments. That was nice of them to do. However, since I'd never had a billing issue like this before, I wanted to understand what happens next. When I asked for clarification on what "resolved" means, the person on the phone got defensive -- incredulously asking me "you don't know what resolved means?" -- instead of just explaining that my balance was set to zero and all late fees cancelled. Incredibly unprofessional behavior and absolutely horrible customer service. Again, this is probably due to poor working conditions and hostile management. Hopefully U of M can clean out the toxic managers and improve conditions there, but I'm not going to wait around to find out. I'm absolutely taking my business elsewhere as soon as I can. In summary, I feel bad for anyone who can't find an alternative to Sparrow Medical Supply. Their selection of average products are leased and sold at prices much higher than the same products in other countries.

Since I do not have transportation and I take an extremely large amount of medications, Healthsmart delivery service is a godsend. The staff are pleasant and easy to communication with. My only concern is that this pharmacy tends to refill medications without contacting me beforehand. More than a few times, I have had reason not to have certain medications refilled. I would save money (mine or my insurers) if I could stop the refill of medications I do not need. Bravo Healthsmart

I used to be a customer, but I am done with AMS. The people there are all friendly, but their…read moretechnology is bad. I've been a customer for over 5 years. Their technology has not worked for me, ever, and I have to call and ask for supplies. I often can't call during the day. The automated telephone navigation system cannot hear me - on any of three phones I've tried. The website ordering system never sends me supplies, even if I get a confirmation email from them. The only thing that works is to call, on the phone, during their work hours, and to talk to a person. This sometimes means holding. It's frustrating. I've given them feedback many times, and nothing is done.
