Earlier this month, my husband and I took a road trip from New Jersey to Chicago and back. On our second day of the trip, we were driving from Pittsburgh to Chicago, cutting through Ohio. We stopped at the Great Lakes Service Plaza in Broadview Heights (6/5). Ohio has really nice rest stops! Nice buildings, a variety of fast food spots, ample parking, pet friendly areas, clean bathrooms, and lots of travel/tourism info. One of the best things about northern Ohio are these great service plazas that are clean and spacious and have all the basics you could need. This one has a Burger King a Popeyes and a Starbucks Clean spacious restroom and even stand with sodas and souvenirs. Well done Ohio read more

There's a Starbucks here and Popeye's too. Only two eateries here, one counter is closed. I do wish we had nice stops like these in MI, then again they do make up for the plazas by charging tolls here in OH. :/ The Applegreens at these plazas offer up some gifts and snack options, beyond the counter food or vending machine snacks. read more

Good sized parking lot with a row of tesla charge stations. Did not see universal car charge stations hiwever. Gas pumps in front for quick on/off gassing up. Restrooms are large and clean. A convenience store is inside the main concourse, across from restrooms. Starbucks, Burger King and Popeye's are in a food court just off the other area. Outdoor dining and a dog area are on the furtherbsidenof the food court. A Trucker's lounge is available near the entrance from teuck parking. Showers and laundry facilities available in there. Vending machines, lottery, EZ-pass vending machines and games are also available. OH information desk has lots of brochures. Good stop, covers lots of bases. read more

First time here, I'm a truck driver so I was looking for a rest stop. Stumbled upon this one and boy was I amazed. I parked and in the morning went in and saw an impeccable facility that's clean and has a lot of amenities for travelers. Clean and big bathrooms, a truckers lounge that has a tv, seating, laundry room & free showers. There's some restaurants around the corner, I waited for Starbucks to open and got a coffee. There's also some gas pumps outside for both tractors and cars. read more

One of my favorite stops when we travel on the Ohio Turnpike. This plaza is always clean no matter what time of year. As we went in to use the services the sidewalks were clean and easy especially for my husband since he uses a cane. I am not sure what was smelling so good but I got hungry the moment we went through the doors. Needless to say, we ended up staying much longer than we intended. The cleanliness of the restrooms were more than sufficient. The eating area was busy though clean and the seating area was attended to promptly as people would leave. I am always a sucker for plaza treats and spent too much on a stuffed animal but when you are a Grandma that's what happens. Also, the price was gas was pretty decent. read more

Free shower at this plaza just like the others on the Ohio turnpike, restrooms are definitely clean and well maintained by the great staff, you can get Ohio souvenirs and shirts here as well as a bite at the restaurants plus there is vending machines too. read more

Fine service plaza on the turnpike. I always stop here for a break and to fuel up and the women's restroom is typically pretty well clean. Wish there were more food options though, the lines are always long. read more

It has relatively clean restrooms and good service . The good options are good here - they have mandated entry with masks only.

Fairly standard Turnpike Service Plaza. Stopped by the Sunoco for fuel. Only $2.09 so a nice deal. Gas in Michigan includes a 15 cent state tax so getting gas in Ohio is dirt cheap. It's a little more on a turnpike but cheap enough for me. This one has a Pizza Hut, KFC, Panera, Starbucks, and Burger King. Some of the other ones further westbound have fewer options so your best bet is here. read more

I went to the pizza hut and it was very bad service. The person behind the counter handling the food had no gloves on, they got the prices all mixed up, and it took forever to get our food. Horrible service and horrible quality. read more

Pretty large service plaza with several fast food restaurants (KFC, Pizza Hut Express, Panera Bread, Burger King, Starbucks), a tourism information booth, an Ohio souvenir/gift and shop with snacks and drinks, various video game machines , a lotto machine, and a gas station. Reminds me of the NJ Turnpike rest areas but this place is cleaner, pretty clean (helps that it is a lot less crowded than the service areas back in high population density Jersey, which I recently moved to Ohio from.. ) read more

My daughter and I stopped here today and I got a latte at Starbucks and my daughter got a strawberry Frappuccino at Starbucks. By the time we got home which was about 20 minutes later we both had diarrhea! I think the milk was bad! read more

was really fuc*ing hungry all i wanted was burger king. ordered an angry whopper and all i got was angry service. was ridiculed by the lady working. didn't catch her name but she was an overweight 50ish years old with her buttcrack hanging out. i could be an african kid who hasn't eaten in weeks and i wouldn't give this place my business again. the spicy chicken sandwich i ended up getting was really good though. read more

Pretty standard service plaza. Very clean, not a lot of tourist traffic. Decent food options with Panera, Starbucks, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC express. I would say to check food prior to leaving, as with any fast food place. Sometimes they try to give you old food because they don't think you'll check prior to returning to your car.
