I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently disappointing. The prices are outrageously high for what you get, and the quality just doesn't match up. Every time I've bought fruit here, it's gone bad within a day or two -- clearly not fresh. On top of that, the owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional. It's uncomfortable shopping somewhere where the staff act like they're doing you a favor just for being there. With so many other local markets that actually value their customers and offer better quality for less, I won't be coming back. read more

I absolutely love Chuppa's! You may pay more for your produce but they taste way better then from the grocery store. The quality is unmatched and the chicken paprikash soup is to die for! Be prepared to spend more money then you expect when you go. The workers are so nice and try to go as quickly as possible. It's not their fault it's so popular! We have been Chuppa devotees since they first opened. We are there weekly and always have high praise for them. Having said that, we have consistently been disappointed in their calzones, as of late. They are extremely inconsistent in size, content and finished product. We got a corn beef calzone today. The crust baked to a weird consistency. We have seen this same issue in the last few we have purchased. I wish Chuppas would train a few good people in the art of how they used to make calzones. Be sure to look around the entire store because there's so much to find. Chuppa's Marketplace is a great local food market. It has lots of fresh produce. Also there's lots of locally made items. There's a mix of junk food and healthy stuff. Even if you do your regular grocery shopping at another store it's a good place to come. It has some cool stuff in here. They make their own soda pop. It's pretty cheap. This is about $1.50 for a bottle, which is good for something handcrafted. It also has products from local vendors particularly in the bakery. It has vegan cookies that are big and fluffy. These are about $2 each, and are a good price for the size. It also has so much produce, all looking much fresher than chain groceries. The deli counter is the busiest part. In the store you can find many snacks and prepackaged items. Layout may be a little random because some things blend together with each other. This is not a large store so it's not that hard to find things. read more

I wish this place was in Lakewood! The premade meals are awesome and cheaper than Heinen's. The chicken paprikash soup is excellent. There are many local treats to buy here too including Shinto Japanese restaurant bottled dressings. My friend Tuni picked up Greek pita, sliced gyro meat, tzatziki, cucumber and tomato salad and made us gyros for lunch today. They were awesome! This Parma market is a great place to shop. We love their take and bake pizzas, especially the veggie one. They have a wonderful deli, nice assortment of bakery, fruits and vegetables, and excellent fruit bowls. They also sell lamb cakes for Easter, corned beef sandwiches for St. Patrick's Day and those oversized donuts for Fat Tuesday. Husband and I adore this small store! Employees are always upbeat and friendly, store is clean and very well laid out. Their premade sandwich meals are very good and well made! We dont drive, but have noticed on very busy days the parking lot gets full fast. I like that they carry harder to find flavors of the Kettle Brand chips, as well as smaller portions of food. As someone with chronic health conditions that limit what I can eat, its hard to find places that have good quality food in smaller quantities that isn't overly expensive. Will keep going here for as long as they are open. read more

I've never been disappointed by the food here. Last month I had strep and my fiancé got me soup from Chuppas and it was the only thing I wanted all weekend. We went back last weekend and got more soup. The chicken paprikash and chicken (5??) noodle soups are to die for. My fiancé likes the Stromboli's and I love their sautéed veggies. My new favorite find is their pre-made salads and their dressing. I've heard of it before and finally tried it, it's all I can thing about!! It was our first time here and what a find!! The place was packed which is always a good sign. Great veggie and fruit section. Lots to choose from. I saw some things that I have never seen before. Great selection of baked goods. We got cookies , a fry pie and a Carmel walnut loaf. We didn't purchase any deli meat but they had a large selection. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I am not so naive that I do not know the political leanings of ownership, but to have it thrown out for all to see, in such a horrible manner, by an employee, was despicable. 72k I have spent there over the years as I average $100 a week, but they will see no more of my money. I haven't written a review on Chuppa's in six years, so it's time for an update. I stopped in recently to get some eggs and bacon. I found some excellent thick cut bacon and some really big farm raised eggs. While I was shopping, I noticed the soup bar. There was a mushroom medley, which sounded delicious. So I grabbed a plastic container, filled it up, and paid for my items. Once home, I tasted the mushroom medley and it was awesome. It had a watery, rich broth and lots of hearty mushrooms. I loved the soup, but I thought it could use a touch of flour to thicken the broth a tad. I will definitely buy this again or find a recipe online to make it myself. The prices are a little high at Chuppa's, but the quality is top notch. I love the recent remodel, but it didn't enhance the customer experience at all. The remodel they did added office space and room for the workers and managers. I'm assuming the remodel is done, but maybe they'll actually expand the grocery area because it is super cramped still. Seeing the original owner driving around my neighborhood in his Rolls Royce is pretty cool, but can you really make that much money with just one location selling veggies and meat? I guess so! Chuppas is awesome! Really fresh deli meat and a huge cheese selection. Their soups are awesome as is the 6.50 lunch which has some banging potato salad a big sandwich and a pickle. Their prepared foods are delicious as well. Some things are a bit pricey but the quality is there. Their produce is absolutely beautiful. Some of the best grapes I have ever had. We used Chuppa's to cater our event for 100 people on a Saturday. It was delivered in well-designed sturdy trays. The portions were generous. Chicken parm was cheesy, tender large cutlets with plenty of sauce. Salad with 2 dressings had spinach, tomato, cukes, lots of cheese was served in separate bowls. We discovered this gem upon a recent trip to Cleveland. Upon entering we were greeted with a warm welcome and the friendliness continued throughout our visit with staff members continually asking if they could answer any questions or help us find what we needed. The meat, cheese, produce, and craft beer offerings were awesome and we bought many goodies to take back home with us. I would have bought more if I hadn't run out of room in our cooler. We especially loved the cheesecake, red velvet donuts, and Amish beef sticks. ​ Unfortunately, upon returning home, I discovered my cellphone was missing. I traced it back to Chuppa's where someone found it in my shopping cart and turned it in. Paul Chuppa became my hero when he offered to mail it to me at my home in NW Indiana. I so appreciate him taking his time to send it to me. This customer service is rare in day and age. On my next Cleveland visit I will be certain to visit Chuppa's and will make sure I bring an empty cooler! read more

They have a large selection of take home meals, ready to go! They also have a small section with hot foods that are ready to eat. i just recently started to shop here and wondered why i ever stopped. the broccoli bunches are huge and fresh abd can last 2 weeks. the asparagus are big stalks, everything is fresh. the berries are trucked in ever couple of days. i got used to eating grocery store crap i had forgotten what fresh really tasted like. Been getting my pumpkins, gourds, indian corn and corn stalks here for a couple years. They have all kinds of gourds, pie pumpkins, regular pumpkins, etc. They have mini corn and regular Indian corn of all colors. This year I also got some corn stalks for decoration and they were the best corn stalk bunches I have seen. Food related, their mushroom beef barely soup is really good. There is a really great cheese selection. Veggie produce is hit or miss. I once noted the regular skim milk is same stuff I get at sam's club but more than double the price. They do carry lots of local products I love like Campbell's popcorn and Goldrush jerky. That makes me happy! read more

This was a recommendation of a colleague that knew I would be in the area near Chuppa's. Wow. The place is so inviting the second you pull into the lot. The lot has plenty of parking, the building is tidy and well maintained. Walking in, I was greeted. The place is jammed full of great products. I was desperate for a quick bite before an appointment, and found a ton of quick options. I settled on a ready made roast beef sandwich that was very fresh and tasty. I had a lot of fun prowling around the store, and cannot wait to go back for some of the the specialty items. Truffle butter? Yes, please. The prices are a little dear, but I was spotting a lot of items that are not found in typical stores. The staff was over the top friendly. The selection was very satisfying, and reminded me a lot of the specialty items found at the West Side Market. What a jewel! read more
