The staff members are welcoming and friendly. The care team here is patient, kind, reliable, caring and understanding. About 90% of the patients here are White, 2% Asian, 5% Hispanic, and 3% African American. Around 70% were born in the USA and came to the U.S. before age 12, 80% came from highly educated families, and 70% are financially well off. The place was busy but quiet. You check in either on the kiosk or with the receptionist. I started to check in with the front desk who was friendly. After checking in you just wait to be called. Most of the time they are on time. Even when they were behind schedule, I had to wait for a little while. When you get called you go to a room to be prepped for whatever imaging you are going for. You wait in that room until they are ready to do the imaging. Everyone was attentive and accommodating. I am pleased with the quality of care here and feel comfortable coming here. The Radiologists look at your images thoroughly. Even though I am the only Asian person here for the majority of the time, I felt welcomed, safe, respected, and supported, especially as a person with a disability in that environment. As a person with a degree who values quality Healthcare, I highly recommend this NYU Langone facility.

This office from start to finish was awesome. Dorothy took my initial call and made sure I had the first available appointment which was thankfully the following day She was pleasant and efficient. Her directions were perfect and due to that fact even after meeting up with unexpected traffic we still arrived with time to spare. Then we met the lovely Sandy. My husband and I can not say enough of how wonderful she was in keeping me calm, making us even laugh. Just such a lovely thoughtful young lady. In the meantime we kept seeing whom we thought was a doctor coming in and out, very hurriedly, would joke with the staff but be looking for someone who hadn't shown yet. So that is when I heard him say we shouldn't make her wait to bring her in. That when I met Him this great Interventional Radiologist who ended up be one of the most down to earth, sweet kind doctor who told me step by step what he was doing as he had to insert the new port on the one side of my body and then remove the other port that was no longer flushing and causing me discomfort. Being awake during such a procedure was scary since the prior 4 ports were inserted while I was completely under anesthesia. Dr. Oren Herman, who is the Director of Interventional Services has the nicest way with the other employees, his patients and the family members in the waiting room. I can not say enough about this facility, the doctor,nurses, techs, and all other workers involved. The entire complex is very clean, orderly and quiet. While we did laugh at times and Dr. Herman was obviously speaking during the procedure it still had a calmness about it. I would have thought it would have been chaos. I was not the only case there, one person had a minor procedure and left prior to me and was also very please with his care and then a woman who came in after me was in recovery with me and was very sweet and happy as well with all of her care. I feel that too many times people write reviews when they are not pleased with their service or have had issues. I do as many reviews as possible, Good, bad, and indifferent. No clue to the exact "upfront office". Ended up in the wrong office, they directed us to the office directly in front of the very first lady at the podium who told us to go to the office in the back. I think that we are in the correct office! This office sends us back to the very first lady at the podium so that we can check in with her. Then they send her down stairs, I go along to wait in that waiting area. I get down stairs and the staff began to speaking rude to me as a visitor. I stood in front of the chair to see the directions they are going. ( I didn't move) They thought it was necessary for her to tell me that the room was fur patients only. I was responding by saying I'm just watching the directions. They other staff member was present and must have got offended by my response so she kicked me out of the waiting area and told me I had to leave the area. I asked, shall I go back to the room that we started in. Her nasty response was, just find a waiting room upstairs. The improvements needed for a pleasant visit would have been for the lady at the podium to take charge and ask questions so that she can do her job and direct people to the correct area. That would have prevented us from going to 3 different places. A staff member was blowing her nose the entire time I sat in the waiting room which was really disgusting. When someone finally picked up, they said I could not make an appointment without having the script in advance of the appointment. At this point I was so frustrated with the the hold time that the representative, Marlene, said she would call me back later in the day to make the appointment after I received the script via email from my doctor. It is now 2 weeks later and no phone call, no voicemail, nothing. And now, today, I am on hold again for over 30 minutes so far with no answer. If I didn't have 20 years worth of records here, I wouldn't even bother to ever go back. Northwell doesn't seem to have any interest in addressing these issues as there are many negative reviews and nothing changes. This has been a problem for awhile but seems to be getting worse. I do not recall having this issue before Northwell took over this facility. They should be embarrassed and concerned that there patient care is this pathetic. Today, I received the poorest care ever. The technician was abrupt and rude. She sighed and had a…read morehostile curt tone. She said we had to be out in 10 minutes. When I had said something not understanding why she was being so rude and short, she explained she had suffered Covid loss. Never apologized. I said to her I don't have Covid, when I did I rescheduled fulling informing your staff, had I known today would have been a problem, I would have rescheduled for another day. She said, "that would have been smarter." As I was getting my coat in, she returned, to walk me to the exit. I said to her, I am just putting on my coat if that's okay. The exam was not like I have had other times. I was assured by an administrator that she did the exam appropriately. Never, although assured my experience would be better by an administrator, would I ever go back there.
