I had a appointment with Zwanger - pesiri today. It was a fasting test Mri of the stomach after sitting there for 40 minutes the black guy behind the desk said they couldn't perform the test because of a outstanding bill over years ago. Because a problem with my health insurance Some crap that is then the billing person told me on the phone at there office I would have to pay 400.00 some shit that is. Or they would have to cancel my appointment which they did my health insurance is a HMO there not supposed to ask me for money they are contracted with the state. The woman told me this just took affect. But I've had previous Mri with no problems at all This is a outrageous embarrassing so consumers Beware of Zwanger pesiri byais people they are unbelievable!! Having to contend with the looming possibility of having Cancer can be most stressful. However, to exacerbate matters, my experience with the Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology facility in Harlem was a proverbial "Nightmare" More specifically: - The morning of my MRI with Contrast at said facility did not have an auspicious start. The front door was locked moments prior to my scheduled appointment and there is no direct phone number to contact this facility directly. Fortuitously, a doctor associated with this facility opened the main door upon his arrival, which was well after my expected arrival time. -The same doctor ruptured a blood vessel during the course of creating an entry port (left arm) for the injection of the gadolinium-based dye (blood widely spurted over the entire prep area - on my person and furniture in prep area) -During the course of the MRI procedure, I experienced unbearable pain once the dye entered my arm -The MRI was halted due to the fact that the dye could not flow through my arm, due to a clot which was the direct result of the improper IV insertion. -The same doctor who created the entry port was summoned to the MRI room and inserted a new entry port for the dye. -The above referenced mishaps resulted in bruising and severe discomfort to my arm and the foregoing lasted for nearly a week -The company's response to what transpired - we will refund your insurance co-pay and sorry this happened read more

This facility is terrible!! i have been waiting for results for 5 days now! this is unheard of in NYC!!. I called about 6 times already and nothing; the only good thing about this place is the professionalism of the technicians Ah!!! if you try to make an appoitment it takes forever to get in touch with someone who answers the phone and then you do not get it right i have to wait 2WEEKS to get the appoiment!! it never happened to me before. read more

First issue was making an appointment. It took me 2 days before finally getting a live person on the phone to make an appointment. After I was able to make an appointment I was sent a link for pre-registration on their portal. Only the pin sent to me was rejected as not in the system. It took another 3 calls over a 4 hour time span to have that corrected - the problem was that the wrong date of birth had been entered in the file. I was able to pre-register but the doctor they listed was not my husband's doctor. There was no way for me to correct it so I added his doctor as 'additional'. The facility itself is very nice, clean and in a good location with ample parking. The testing process itself was easy although he said the staff could use some professional attitide / customer service training. However, when my husband went in there were no COVID precautions such as temperature checks done or questions asked, which, as health care workers, neither of us were comfortable with. Based on the difficulty with arranging appointments & clerical errors as well as the lack of precautionary infection control methods, my family won't be returning, we'll stick with MSR. read more

Terrible unprofessional front desk staff. While waiting for a test the receptionist proceeded to announce my medical procedure and reason for the test in front of a waiting room full of other patients. I was embarrassed and immediately walked out. I will never come here again. I do not recommend anyone come here. Perhaps a review of patient privacy and the HIPPA law is needed. read more

Scheduled two ultrasound tests after having an unpleasant experience with Lenox Hill Radiology. Was in and out in less time than was scheduled. Reception was courteous and professional as was the tech who performed tests. Would use them again. read more

The pros: Clean office, friendly technicians, Customer Service oriented practice, lots of flexibility in regards to scheduling The cons: Incompetent radiologists. Went for my annual mammo and sono screening and radiologist made several mistakes on my reports. She didn't see something that was clear as day on my mammo and she said something was surgically removed that wasn't. Another radiologist there viewed the films and corrected the original radiologist's mistake. Bottom line: Your office can be amazing with the best technology and the most friendly faces, but if you can't read my films or write a report correctly then you are absolutely of no use to me. My condition was benign but what about the patient who has a tumor that you carelessly missed? Thanks but no thanks! read more

I am the first person to post a review of this brand new facility. Since I am the person that tends to peruse reviews before trying a new place, it felt like somewhat of a risk to go to a facility merely based on the convenience of their location. There is ample off-street parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went there for three separate tests as part of a wellness checkup, and they were completed in a timely manner. Due to some negative reviews that I read of other facilities within this organization, I was concerned about waiting three days for results in the event that there was some sort of problem. When I asked if I could get immediate results, I was told that I could wait approximately 30 minutes for the results of two of the three tests (the third had to be sent out to another lab). The results were provided to me within 5 minutes. I intend to continue to utilize this facility when I need to get radiology tests. read more

The people in this office are super nice and courteous. Technician Jonathan was very helpful in dealing with my brother who has problems getting around, hearing etc. He had patience getting him on xray table and lying still. He even walked us to my car. read more

I had a great experience with them today from the admitting desk to the Radiology tech who did my MRI's -- everybody was so pleasant to be around and encouraging. I was a bit iffy about the MRI and being in that small area for 30 mins, but it went fast! The tech gave me some headphones and she kept checking in with me to ensure I was okay. I really like this place a lot compared to the lazy witches at another MRI place I had been to previously. The wait time was about 15 mins, then I was taken back and asked to change into some of their disposable pants they provided since my jeans had metal on them. Overall this is an excellent addition to Bayside and although I hope I won't need another MRI anytime soon, I wouldn't mind going to this place again. Thanks everybody! read more

I went there as well as my family member. Not long waiting. I got early morning appointments and was in and out in no time. Staff was helpful and professional. Parking is good. No climbing. Good for people that have difficulty walking ..one flat from parking lot to building. read more

My 6yo needed follow up xrays for her broken arm. The office was fantastic. The people working including the front desk and tech were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. My daughter and I both felt extremely comfortable. There was no wait and we were seen at our appointment time without a problem. Great staff and great facility. read more

Booked my mother there to get her CT done n the receptionist totally messed it up. From her name to address, to make things worse, they even told my mother she needs to come n pick up the fluid 2-hrs prior to take her CT. Called my mothers doctors office because they had told her they would need a physical referral from the doctors office which she had to go back to just to get it, ONLY to find out the referral had already been sent electronically. We basically called the radiology numerous of times n the doctors office, including making a trip out to the radiology AND the doctors office for nothing BECAUSE it turned out my mother never needed to take the fluid 2-hrs prior BUT can take IV fluid on the appointment time......! Also told my mother to hold the urine 30mins before the exam. She couldnt hold it anymore n when she came to the radiology, we had asked if she could empty her bladder out n the receptionist said it was totally k.... then what was the point of my mother trying her best to hold her urine when she almost peed on the way there??? We were all frustrated n confused as to who to believe.... if you are young like me i have no problem holding the urine for a bit. My mother has incontinence therefore was there to get the testing done. For the receptionist telling my mother who is a senior citizen that she needs to bring the referral and fluid info all mixed up, and her info getting all wrong therefore the second time i had called the other receptionist NOT being able to find my mothers information was NOT PROFESSIONAL at all. We always go to Main St. Radiology but gave this one a try bc it was near my parents' house has now totally turned all of us off from wanting to go back there. The staff was really nice according to my mother but to get to that point we just went thru so much unnecessary steps which should have been a basic thing.... would we go back there? Going for my MRI yesterday I was most apprehensive. I had an MRI 3 months ago in the hospital. That MRI was a dark enclosed tunnel with little space around you - and I was uncomfortable throughout the process. On top of that, the MRI took much longer because it was an old machine. I am not generally claustrophobic but I was starting to feel that way. I couldn't wait to get out of there! My current doctor prescribed an MRI for me for an ear and brain scan. After what I went through the last time I did extensive research before choosing an imaging center. I discovered Zwanger-Pesiri had the most recently FDA approved MRI machine - approved in January 2019-a Siemens Healthineers 3 Tesla machine. Their images are much better and, most importantly, they are fast! Especially compared to older ones. A nice feature is they provide you with headphones and you can listen to music of your choosing. Very impressive to me was the professionalism of radiologist Brian and staff of nurses. I felt very at ease from start to finish. The difference was night and day from my last experience and for that I am very grateful. read more
