No clue to the exact "upfront office". Ended up in the wrong office, they directed us to the office directly in front of the very first lady at the podium who told us to go to the office in the back. I think that we are in the correct office! This office sends us back to the very first lady at the podium so that we can check in with her. Then they send her down stairs, I go along to wait in that waiting area. I get down stairs and the staff began to speaking rude to me as a visitor. I stood in front of the chair to see the directions they are going. ( I didn't move) They thought it was necessary for her to tell me that the room was fur patients only. I was responding by saying I'm just watching the directions. They other staff member was present and must have got offended by my response so she kicked me out of the waiting area and told me I had to leave the area. I asked, shall I go back to the room that we started in. Her nasty response was, just find a waiting room upstairs. The improvements needed for a pleasant visit would have been for the lady at the podium to take charge and ask questions so that she can do her job and direct people to the correct area. That would have prevented us from going to 3 different places. A staff member was blowing her nose the entire time I sat in the waiting room which was really disgusting. Om our exit, the lady at the podium did tell us to press "S" for street to leave the building. So I guess that makes up for the entrance..... NO! I wise not to come here again. Not even to drop someone off. I'll just stay in my car instead of parking in the valet. By the way, he was the only person to provide exceptional customer service!

Yes, it can be difficult to call the Main Street Radiology general line to book appointments. Be patient and just keep trying to call back to schedule appointment. Sometimes it can be frustrating with all the volume of calls that they receive. The staff that takes the PET Scans here are excellent. They take the time to explain the whole process as well as after the procedure. You are definitely in good hands when you come here. Great quality of care here. They will try to accommodate you should any issues arise with appointments. This is a very busy practice for they do so many various diagnostic and specialty tests. Staff here will assist if you need translation when filling out form and they will ask if you need assistance.

I accidentally mixed up my appointment date and thought it was today instead of tomorrow. Because of that mistake, I got up at 5:00 a.m. and rushed to the office, After arrived, I was told my appointment was tomorrow . But I am hoping they might allow me to wait in case there was an opening. Instead, I was immediately turned away without any consideration of the person of the greeting person of first floor. I had been waiting two months for this appointment. I understand that I made a mistake, but I don't understand why there was absolutely no flexibility or compassion. Many patients have to work and carefully arrange their schedules. Allowing me to wait would have been a simple act of kindness, especially so early in the morning when the office didn't appear to be busy. What makes this even more disappointing is that I've been a patient at this practice for over twenty years. I expected to be treated with a little more understanding and respect after being a loyal patient for so long. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion of this office. I by- pass the check in booth because no one was present so I went to the counter and was to go back to the booth. The lady at check in had just returned and she tagged if she could help me and I told her that I had to check in and she got a little rude. Her reply and tone was, I'm helping two people. She could have stated that she will be with me in a moment, a much better reply! I went back to the front desk as I was summoned from the person that sent me a way and he was kind and pleasant to deal with. After check in I dealt with the techs. Tina was the first, giving a mammogram it was a strange experience for me e as a guy but I made it through. Jesse was the sonogram tech. Very pleasant experience and both were giving me information as to what was about to occur. I had to do an chest X-ray and that also went well. I didn't get the text name but he was very apologetic for the delay in the waiting time. He didn't know that they put out charts in door rack. The facility is emaculate and very much in order. All of the other staff that I dealt with were professional, and compassionate.

I arrived on site 10 min before my appt time and filled out the appropriate paper work. I didn't have my referral papers printed out (I had a copy on my phone) but was able to upload it to their portal they sent me via text. After all the initial paperwork was completed, I was sent to a waiting room. I waited less than 5 min and was brought in promptly for my appointment. There is a parking lot in front but when I went for my appointment early afternoon it was pretty packed - so depends on day/time of day and when you go if you'll get a spot.

I said to her I don't have Covid, when I did I rescheduled fulling informing your staff, had I known today would have been a problem, I would have rescheduled for another day. She said, "that would have been smarter." As I was getting my coat in, she returned, to walk me to the exit. I said to her, I am just putting on my coat if that's okay. When Dr. Fiterstein came in, he already proved to not be for the patient or take the patient's wants into consideration as he tried to talk me out of getting the lab that I wanted drawn stating "everyone has herpes". In what world is it professional to convince me not to do something. Anyway, I was very clear that despite what he had to say, I still wanted the lab drawn. He said okay. Come to find out two days later that he literally tested me for every other STD BUT herpes. STDs should all be taken very seriously and should not be downplayed at all. I did my part and was responsible about wanting to get tested and ended up getting stuck with a doctor who refused to do the one thing I asked.

The staff members are welcoming and friendly. The care team here is patient, kind, reliable, caring and understanding. About 90% of the patients here are White, 2% Asian, 5% Hispanic, and 3% African American. Around 70% were born in the USA and came to the U.S. before age 12, 80% came from highly educated families, and 70% are financially well off. The place was busy but quiet. You check in either on the kiosk or with the receptionist. I started to check in with the front desk who was friendly. After checking in you just wait to be called. Most of the time they are on time. Even when they were behind schedule, I had to wait for a little while. When you get called you go to a room to be prepped for whatever imaging you are going for. You wait in that room until they are ready to do the imaging. Everyone was attentive and accommodating. I am pleased with the quality of care here and feel comfortable coming here. The Radiologists look at your images thoroughly. Even though I am the only Asian person here for the majority of the time, I felt welcomed, safe, respected, and supported, especially as a person with a disability in that environment. As a person with a degree who values quality Healthcare, I highly recommend this NYU Langone facility.

There were other reviews that complained about the cold gel and the lack of wipes. Dana made sure that the gel was not too hot and gave me wet naps and paper towels to clean up. Easy peasy! I love Northwell Hospitals, but I love EVERYTHING else at NYU Langone.
