I bought a bag of Claey's old fashioned hard candy (the anise flavor, no less!) and the kid asked for some of mine. I told her, "You won't like this stuff, kid." Much to my surprise, she DID. (Hell, she ended up eating most of the damn bag.) Our nearest Atwoods is in Norman -- a good forty-five minutes from our home in NW OKC -- and so I've seldom got the time to stop in and peruse. (I'm usually there only to buy dog food, and to visit the nursery department in warm weather.) Who knew that Atwoods carried all this retro candy? So why did I change my 5 stars to 2 stars? After a pleasant call and working out a deal on the phone, I loaded up my trailer to pick up my purchase. Well, the deal changed by $149 and exceeded my limit. Kermit denied what he said on the phone. It wasn't really the money as much as the disrespect. I guess it makes a difference when the owner is not on site. In fairness he sent a text offering to accept a check for the original amount if I would come back. I already spent 3 hours on this, so I countered I would have a check ready if he delivered. No answer..... I'll include my original review from my previous visits below. Awesome Yanmar dealer. Carries Husqvarna too. Just used the service department. Just as awesome as Sales and Parts. Sad how things change.

They're the only NH dealership in town, if I had a choice I probably wouldn't do business with them. I called on Monday to discuss service. I had an implement stuck on the back of my tractor. I don't own a trailer and inquired about a service call. I was told that the service would be $125/hr and $1.80 per mile. I did not realize that the per hour charge begins when the truck leaves the shop. Not what I have experienced with other service industries. I expected the entire thing to be between $200 and $250. Maybe I should have known better? I was charged over $350 for the call. The original bill was around 390.00 but they took the "shop supplies" charge off since there were none. The service guy was here for between maybe 15 minutes, but giving the benefit of the doubt, and that I didn't check my watch, I'll say 30 min. I'm located 22 miles from the shop. In late morning traffic that's between 30-35 minutes away. That's an hour of drive time. So calculating 1.5 hours at 125 an hour is 187.50. 1.80 per mile x 44 miles round trip is roughly 80 bucks. That total, 267.50 is a lot, but based on their fees, reasonable. I called to talk to someone who identified herself as the owner. The call was fairly insulting on her part, implying that I should have just known how much it would be, because that's the way everyone works. I've never been charged travel time, but even if I were, by my estimate I was over charged by about 90 bucks. I've said my piece, I've paid my bill and bought one other item from them. Buzzfile business information website lists company revenue at around 13 million. I don't expect that my complaint or the loss of my 350.00 worth of business means much to them. It just sucks that it couldn't have gone better. When it comes to customer service, I think it pays to be kind. I realize that I was pretty frustrated when I called, but that is the nature of customer service and frankly, I was being overcharged. I really do think that my feelings about this would have been different if some concession were made to the fact that I might have had a point.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Rented scissor lift. Trailer it came on had broken taillights so no…read moreelectrical for turn signals/ brake lights. Pointed out to rental clerk and was told "oh well". Reluctantly went with it as only had 3 miles to go to job site. Got to job site and contractor pointed out joy stick plastic cover buttons were gone and only had the metal tap bars to go up/down. Was told at rental desk, $500 a week. We needed to extend, called repeatedly to notify on Monday, 9/9 and no answer at rental desk. Left 3 messages. Finally talked to rental desk on 9/10; told "we can work something out on rental price". Brought unit back on Thursday and ticket was marked $600 per week(total $1200). Relayed phone convo and was told: "you signed ticket, had all info there". We were not given a copy of ticket at time of rental, even though we asked for one. Told it would be kept in a drawer and no charges until return. Bottom line: DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Know exactly what is being charged, get a ticket copy 1st and don't rent worn out, none working parts equipment ( trailer). Also we were charged a daily rental on the TRAILER. If we had realized that, we would have brought trailer back same day instead of just letting it sit on our driveway and paying rent on it. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE
