Anyways, long story short, no discounts for birthdays and we also did not celebrate the birthday in any manner inside the game room . Went to this venue with 4 of my friends. The game room actually handles 12 people, but in my opinion, that is way too many. I think 6 or 8 split into 2 teams would be an ideal number. Too many people means each person gets to do less. We were luckily paired with 3 strangers that were fun. That's going to be a variable you can't control. The game itself lasts an hour. The game show involves randomly chosen mini-games where two teams compete to score points. I believe it always ends in $$$$$, which is a giant Plinko machine. I think part of the fun is not knowing what the games are. Most of them are word games or trivia games, but there were certainly some more unique ones as well. We had a blast playing this game, partly due to being paired up with fun strangers. Would I come back to do the same experience? Probably not with my same group of friends, but maybe with others. That and some variability in the games (randomly chosen games from a set of 20) would make the show less repetitive. Definitely worth trying once.

Located a bit away from the main drag, the room was easily walkable from the bars. The rooms are all fairly low technology. The set design was pretty good and immersive. There was one issue getting an item to work and we needed GM help to fix it. The puzzles made sense and were mid level difficulty. I'd say a good above average escape room. Overall, it was a fun room, worth a stop and play.

You are forced to have strangers in your group and 2. The game master is in the room with you. I can't even give a full honest review of the puzzles because there were 4 other people (whom I didn't know) in my group and they didn't share the clues they found. So most of the time, I was looking for things and had no idea where in the game we were. As far as the puzzles I was a part of, some didn't work properly. As in, we got the clue, executed the correct thing, but our box didn't open, and the game master had to fix it - cutting into our time. Another clue wasn't pre-set when we walked in the room and the nerf gun we were supposed to use was "jammed" upon finding it and took almost a full 2 minutes to fix. Additionally, being a game master, it is part of the job (and game) to give leading clues without giving a lengthy explanation or giving it away completely. I absolutely hate doing escape rooms with 6 people, it is too crowded and most of the game is spent chasing someone else's train of thought. This is definitely on my list of "won't go back" escape rooms. Disappointed, because it was my boyfriend's first one. Not a great introduction for a first timer, I'll likely have a difficult time convincing him they're actually fun in the future.

We decided to take on the Legend of the Yeti. We were greeted by someone at the front desk and signed our waivers. After a little banter, we learned that there are three locations around Nashville and the flagship location is in Berry Hill. Our host for the game, Berklee, was fantastic. She explained everything clearly and had lots of positive energy. One of the best hosts we have ever had. The employees even got together to draw us a souvenir postcard. The Yeti game uses the room that had Gold Rush. If you played Gold Rush before, you'll recognize the room layout is familiar, but the puzzles are all new. There are some unique and memorable moments in the game starting at the very beginning. I thought it was the right amount of challenge and we were able to escape with one clue. As usual, there's not enough light in these rooms for my old man eyes. Even with the provided flashlights, we were still pulling out our phone flashlights to assist. Overall, great experience!
