Getting wild at the rumpus room!…read more It was our first time visiting the Rumpus Room and we were so excited to check it out. If you're looking for a fun, clean place to take the kiddos on those cold or rainy days, this is the spot! It's so quaint and such a fantastic idea. There are a few different play areas like a Veterinarian Clinic, construction zone, and cafe for the kiddos to engage in some imaginary play. Additionally, they have a sectioned off area specifically for babies and infants. The Rumpus Room is not only locally owned, but the owner, Haley, is female and a veteran....how freaking bad ass!! You can tell that she and her hubby have out so much heart into this cute place. You can also see all of the potential and vision they are working hard to bring out growing community. You can chose to play for an hour or better yet, a membership to have unlimited play time! At this time, they are requesting you reserve a play time through their website so they can accommodate safe play for all. We will for sure be back to play and look forward to seeing this hidden gem continue to shine bright!

It's very welcoming and relaxing for mamas or whomever is watching the littles. There are lots of soft toys to keep kids occupied. I'm looking forward to attending an event in the future!

We had just visited Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg the day before, and eating here felt like a seamless extension of that experience. You are completely surrounded by stunning marine life. One important tip: it is very cold inside the dining room. They understandably need to keep the temperature low for the massive aquarium tanks, so definitely bring a sweatshirt or light jacket along to stay comfortable. The Food: The food was amazingly good. We started with the shrimp & crab dip appetizer, which was rich and flavorful. For our main courses, we had the steak and lobster, the grilled shrimp, and everything was cooked perfectly. The Service: Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. However, the kitchen was severely backed up due to the Father's Day lunch rush, so our meal took a very long time to arrive--just over 40 minutes. We didn't mind too much since our server was so nice and we had the fish tanks to look at, but it is something to keep in mind on major holidays. Location & Convenience: The restaurant is located right inside the Opry Mills mall, which made parking incredibly easy. It is also situated right next door to the Grand Ole Opry House, making it the perfect spot to grab a bite if you plan to visit there too!

There is so much to do here! They had a roller skating rink, laser tag, arcade games, bumper cars, a bungee jump thingy, a bowling alley and a bar area with pool tables for the grown ups. My mother-in-law bought the kids the unlimited wristbands (excludes the arcade games and bowling.) They spent the majority of their time between the bungee jump and bumper cars. The arcade was pretty typical; spend $40 on games to win $3 worth in prizes. But hey, it's all in good fun. The place is pretty well maintained and clean. The employees were friendly. The hubby and father-in-law enjoyed a game of pool while they waited for the kids. This is definitely a place for fun for the whole family. Tip: this would be a great place to have a birthday party!

We didn't eat any food, but we did get drinks- which were also reasonably priced. The only reason I'm deducting a star is that the place was a little run down. It could use a good cleaning for sure! Overall, we would go again for sure!

We have so many happy memories here. There are multiple tables, grills, trash bins and shelters around the park for everyone to enjoy a picnic. Its clean, super shady and well kept. Convenient bathrooms, volley ball net, playground and more. I can't say enough good things about the place. Go yourself and enjoy!

It's out in Hendersonville on Old Hickory Lake, and it has a handful of pavilions (five I think) as well as several picnic tables. There is a boat ramp at Rockland, and a lot of people fish or launch their boats from the area. I've been to a handful of picnics and large, organized "get-togethers" (as my family calls them) at Rockland. There is plenty of room for the little ones to run around or for a game of football or frisbee. Rockland has a pretty nice view of the lake, and it's right beside the Old Hickory Dam. There's a great stretch of shore near the dam that makes for some of the best fishing in the area, and it's a lovely place to just take a walk or enjoy the scenery. Not my favorite park in the greater Nashville area, but possibly my favorite in Hendersonville.

However, we were very let down to find that the trash cans in this place were the cleanest items around. It's dirty, and while I'm not overly obsessed with germs, I understand that these places become messy due to high foot traffic and children. We went on a thursday only 3 other kids in there and I felt better with my shoes on then off. The benches and leather on the trampolines are sticky with dirt build up. To say this place even gets a decent cleaning once a month would be generous. On top of it they've got two teenage girls working the check in desk who clearly don't want to be there. I don't think we'll be back. They don't have a limit on anything so big kids and small children are running into each other and is very dangerous. They have signs but it's more of decorative purposes as no staff is actually enforcing anything. It's very dirty and smells horribly, of course my son did care but it was every uncomfortable for me as a parent. They have "private rooms" for the cake and presents but it's not for you all the time only for 30 mins and they kick you out. They have a few arcade games and they have a counter where you can order food and drinks. They offer two pitchers of water at the end of the counter for you to serve yourself. I do not recommend for small children nor pregnant women accompanying them. Very dangerous.
