The lobby and work areas are clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Ginski is very nice and a good listener. He and his staff explain every step of your care whether a routine visit, follow up, or upcoming procedure. Your previous dental work is taken into careful consideration during consultation, and he isn't the type of doctor to recommend or demand an excessive amount of procedures. In addition, the front desk always provides an estimate of services if you're having to do more than a check-up. From a patient's perspective, doctor visits aren't always easy so it is important to have a doctor that you can talk to and that can talk to you as every doctor doesn't always have both knowledge AND bedside manner. If you're in search of a new dentist, check him out. That and side note, you can go shopping after your visit since Eastgate Shopping Center is right across the street.

Jessie, who was my hygienist today, was a joy and a blessing - she was diligent, thorough, and careful in cleaning my teeth. They felt so much better when she was done. She was also super encouraging (acknowledging what was going well with my teeth) and graciously forthcoming (identifying where I could make adjustments for even better outcomes). She also shared lots of sample products (proxy brush, brush handle, toothpaste, etc.) to support my dental care at home. Dr. Ginski is a great listener and he always takes time to explain things and provide options that address my needs and concerns. It's also apparent that he stays abreast of changes in the field, as they are consistently upgrading their tools and practices while also be thoughtful about keeping my costs as low as feasible. Whenever I'd had a dental procedure under his care, I have been well-prepared for the process and I have appreciated the results. Moreover, this team keeps me on track; thus, procedures beyond cleaning are quite rare. Ms. Katrina, who manages the billing and insurance is also helpful and ensures that there are no surprises when it comes to payments. I am giving detail, because billing confrontations seem to be a common theme on the negative…read morereviews. Billing staff is confrontational and rude. I questioned an estimate that didn't align with my insurance benefits and they kept explaining to me why they were correct rather than having a conversation. After I requested it, they reluctantly agreed to a preauth. They were about $60 off and I was about $2 off from what the preauth came back as. They never contacted me with the information had to get it from Aetna. This didn't surprise me, as they made a whole production and were wrong. I sent a letter to the dentist asking if he wanted me to come back or not, because I did not want trouble at the office. What I received back was a noncommittal letter back that billing is hard and some other nonsense that didn't address the question. At this point I had no intention of going back. On august 8, I received the letter I had expected, terminating the relationship. They are required by law to send this, so it was totally fine. I actually already went to a different dentist. However it is worth sharing that the letter said, there were a couple of instances where I complained about my coverage and have complained about their fee. To be clear, I had only been once before, for a cleaning, which was mostly covered, outside of a few dollars. Also, I didn't think their fees were unreasonable, they were pretty normal for an out of network dentist. Finally, I don't know why on earth I would "complain about my coverage" to a provider? The provider has nothing to do with that. This simply didn't happen. Bottom line, they are angry about a negative review without wanting to take ownership of how and why it happened. The main thing for me, (and this is more for the business, because I know they read these,) is my review are the facts of my experience. If I am being untruthful, you have recourse, but I'm not, and we both know that. It is disappointing to have you try and pass accountability. I do have a couple of suggestions. If you are concerned with the quality of the reviews you receive, use them as an opportunity to improve. Alternatively, if it bothers you that much to have a customer describe their experience, turn off reviews. I would have been happy to remove it if someone would have called to have a discussion, but that isn't how you chose to handle it. Hope this review helps anyone who reads.

HELLO!!! DR.RUSS and his team ..... 10 STARS!!! I will…read moreattempt to make this as brief as possible... I had a bicycle accident where I busted my lip and had lacerations to my hand. I recieved 7 stiches to my lip and 3 to my hand. Within 3 days my lip became necrotic. I saw my PCP on day 4 and her IMMEDIATE reaction was that I needed to see a surgeon THAT DAY!! No one was available on Day 5 Dr.Russ examined me.... cut out the necrotic tissue on my lip and performed the MOST AMAZING reconstruction surgery!! He claimed he wasn't a plastic surgeon but his work was AMAZING. After following his treatment plan as instructed... when I came back 3 days later for my post-op visit. He was thrilled that the wound looked 1000% better and so was I !!! On day 10 he removed the sutures he placed and OMG!!! The deformity that I anticipated having was NO LONGER an issue because his work was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING leaving only a hairline scar!!! His team and office staff were also AMAZING and very empathtic to my situation from the first day that I entered the office!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! While the place is in quite a beautiful building, I never got the service I initially went to this…read moreplace seeking. My dentist went out of network, after an extraction and bone graft but before the implant and crown, so I sought a new one for that and, most pressingly, to check on the recently arising pain in the tooth just before the empty space. I set an appt here. First, I was told to return to my prior Dentist to have him check the bite on a six month old crown (the painful tooth in question), despite my coming to Botts because the other one was out of network now. However, the only options this botts Dentist provided was to sign a waiver, absolving him of any liability should he damage my tooth in adjusting the bite, or go back to the other dentist. I was frustrated bc I expressly made the appointment about the troublesome tooth, and I felt like I'd been misled when they well knew why I set the appointment. Still, I put that aside, and I go back to my former dentist; then I return to bots asking for a quote for the implant. Since my former dentist had already said I needed a small filling, I let botts do the procedure that day to avoid more wasted time. After the filling was complete, I was quoted approximately $200 for a small insurance-covered filling--which was odd bc I've never paid more than $110, and my prior dentist is one of the top rated in the city. Yet again, I was told that I would have to come back for a separate visit to get the quote; they wouldn't even give me a ballpark without attending the appointment. No one said it would cost anything. So, I set that appointment and returned for it, but no quote was given at the end of the appointment. Instead, they said they'd call me. Minutes after leaving l get a phone call. It's them saying I owe them approximately $200. When I questioned it, the lady said she would call me back. Someone then calls me back, someone different, and says to disregard what the prior person said, that it was an error. A month passes with no quote, and I'm realizing this just isn't a good fit. So, I find a new dentist who promptly got me in for the cleaning and set the implant appt within a month. The situation felt shady, just off to me, so I counted it as an early revelation and moved on. I thought, hey, Botts is behind me, so I didn't plan to post my negative experience. However, after this nasty exchange in the photos, I thought I'd post it and let you read it for yourself. You can also see she lied about a late cancellation. I canceled on June 24th for a July 1 appointment. And before you ask, no, it's not just the receptionist or whomever has the phone. The dentist's bedside manner is also off putting. I just thought it was his personality, but I see it's a culture. Reach your own conclusion about whether it's a fit for you.
