My husband and I drive 25 minutes to get this food. Closest thing to NY Chinese food. My order is always chicken & broccoli (extra spicy). Fried chicken wings (my favorite thing to order from there!) they're so good. Always hot and crispy. We like to eat ours while they're hot as a snack for the ride home. My husband gets the shrimp Egg Fu Yung & crab Rangoons. I never was an egg fu Yung girl until I tried his. Can't stop eating it. The gravy does it! Tons of shrimp. And we ask for extra onions. I was suckered in by the positive Yelp reviews. I will say they were fast. And not too expensive. But the quality was really lacking. I ordered a combination plate of kung pao chicken and some mu shu pork. The kung pao chicken had great flavor (thus the 2 stars), but the chicken quality was awful. Lots of skin, fat, and gristle. After a few bites I ended up picking the chicken out and eating the vegetables and peanuts. The egg roll was adequate. The rice flavor was really good but again, low quality meat. The first bite I took had a big piece of bbq pork, and it was all fat. Yuck! So on to the mu shu pork. I took a few bites of that and it was again, mediocre. I didn't care for the flavor and it was a bit dry for my taste. So I passed it off to my husband. He said he had some low quality pieces of pork and he also didn't care much for the flavor. Overall, we wouldn't return due mostly to the lack of quality. If we were somehow forced to go there, we'd stick with vegetarian meals. The meat is just not good unless you enjoy eating fat, gristle, and skin. read more

It has a dated interior that'll give you a flashback to the 90s, but don't be fooled as this location is a hidden gem in Wendell, NC Best Chinese Rib's and lo mein. I have to go on the weekend ms when I visit my cousins because i don't live close to here. Service with a smile yeah right. It may not be the friendliest but the food is great. Try the kung pow chicken which what my cousin orders and she also love the shrimp with garlic sauce. It's the best around. The price is a little higher, however the quality is anything but lacking surpassing my expectations. If you live in the Wendell/Knightdale/Zebulon area and you want great Chinese food, Great Wok is the place to go. The service is great, the food is always hot and ready. I ordered the Sesame chicken during my last visit and it was definitely one of the best I've ever eaten. The food always tastes clean and fresh like it just came out of the garden and the restaurant is always clean and tidy as well. You have full view of the kitchen and it is always spotless. We ordered four different combo meals, crab rangoon and won ton soup sadly we each only made it through a few bites and then the trash can got it. $50 wasted on food that was not edible. The rice was yellow and had a taste that i can not place, the crab Rangoon was chunky looking but not in the normal way, the sesame and general taos chicken was more dough than meat and the meat looked strange, the moo goo gai pan overly salty and gooey and cheap on the vegetables and the beef low main was doughy and just nasty. I really wanted to like the food and i gave it a chance because of mixed reviews but save your money and don't go there. read more

The only Chinese in Wendell, and actually the only Chinese I want when I'm out of town. I love the egg rolls and the shrimp fried rice. Occasionally a little heavy on the oil, but typically I stay away from anything deep fried except the egg roll and am never dissatisfied with my meal. read more

Once again, a small town is very fortunate to have a great place to eat. Your going to want to pick up your food from here and take it home, they have few seats. Quite possibly, the best Chinese food I have ever eaten any where. They won the best Chinese restaurant award consecutively for many years. This is the best Chinese take out in the area! I would not recommend eating in as it is very small. The pan fried dumplings are delicious as are the egg rolls. I highly recommend the House Special Soup. I always get it with 3 or 4 won tons added. A friend of mine loves their Broccoli w/Garlic Sauce. I have never had anything bad from here and the service is always quick. Most items are ready in 10 minutes. It's a shame they don't deliver because they could make huge money by doing so! read more
